(8/10) Nim would never get tired of seeing the homes that his children made for themselves, the sparks of personality and occasional inherited habit on full display for him to see. This was no exception, and he paused at times to look at the low lit rooms, fond and pleased. Once he got a lay of the land, he'd be able to properly usher his son to bed for a little while, so he paid close attention - even pausing when he saw Shrimp, laughing quietly.
Then, the bedroom. He'd offer to clean, eventually, but for now he only had eyes for his grandchildren - who were tiny and precious, curled in blankets. "I have a few swaddling tips to pass down, it seems." Nimueh murmured quietly, watching them, expression soft, now that his panic had eased.
Each babe had greedily stolen a set of their father's eyes; with the girl sporting the blue-toned hair that Nimueh didn't recognize. Quetzal's eyes were... his own, which made his heart lurch to see, even though Siel had already told him. Tsisia had her father, and grandfather's, blue crystals.
"Siel, they're... they're beautiful." He whispered, once again reaching to loop his son into a one-armed hug as they both stared down at the little ones.

"I have no idea what I'm doing," He may have whispered it, but Siel couldn't keep the tired laugh from his voice. "Usually if I take the big blankets then I can wrap them up enough that it works but -" He motioned vaguely to the lumps in Quetzal's 'swaddle' and the malformed look of Tsisia's.
Misshapen as the blankets were, Siel just took a moment to look over his children. Initially he'd planned on giving Nimueh the moment to absorb their greatness, but then Siel found himself pulled in as well. It was so strange, being able to point out parts of him and his partner in the twins, but there they were. As plain as a painting. Day. As plain as day.
He wrapped his arm around his Baba and held him in turn. "Right? Sometimes babies just look weird, but these two are the good ones." And, as if knowing they were speaking about her, Tsisia chose that moment to start shifting in her sleep. For a moment Siel hoped she was just adjusting herself, but then the little one started to get fussy and he had to break away from Nimueh to lift her up.
"Hey hey, shhh, you're alright. Look who I've got." He laid her against his shoulder and turned so that he first person Tsisia would truly get a glimpse of was Nimueh.

(9/10) Even with aishan eyes, the look Nimueh gave his son clearly said 'Of course you don't.' For Sol and Ygraine, Nimueh hadn't felt like he was finally understanding how to do it until they were already toddlers, and just when he thought he was prepared the triplets (including Siel) came along and made him regret ever thinking he knew what he was doing. Every infant was so uniquely different, and yet so very much the same in some ways.
That was the moment Tsisia began to fuss, and Nimueh's heart immediately broke, and he knew then and there that he'd spoil this little one absolutely rotten. He took a moment just to watch Siel, smiling warmly at just how fast he jumped to his baby girl's side.
Tsisia wasn't a newborn - he was a few weeks too late for that. But she was still so wee and little, and her silver-blue eyes seemed to glow in the dark as she peered at him in that owlish, squinty way all little babies seemed to. He reached to very gently nudge the knuckle of his finger against a pudgy cheek, eyes watering at just how beautiful she was. Then, he shook himself and reached to feel at her diaper, relieved to note it was dry. Likely, she was hungry, or a light sleeper who was upset at the two old men staring at her as she slept. "Come here, let me show you how to wrap her. Maybe she just wants her papa to tuck her in again." He gestured towards the bed, which would be the easiest place to do it.

And just like that, Tsisia owned her grandfather. Siel had little doubt it would happen; his baba had always been a softie for cute things and Siel banked on it. With Nimueh taking over the fussing infant Siel was able to take a step back and relax for the moment. Or, until Quetzal decided to wake up and join her.
"She's very clingy so wrapping her helps. If she doesn't feel like she's being held she cries and usually we just end up carrying her all day." It wasn't the best; that much even he knew. She was developing the habit and once she started growing it would be harder to keep it up, but for now Siel didn't want to deny her. Even if several of their more experienced visitors warned him against it, leaving her to cry it out just felt cruel.

(10/10) Oh yes, he was a goner. But Nimueh couldn't find himself minding it in the slightest, smiling to himself as he moved her to the bed to wrap her in a proper swaddle. He'd show Quiana and Siel how to do it later - for now, his poor son was so exhausted it would go in one ear and out the other.
"You just know your papa can't resist holding you, don't you?" He cooed quietly to the little girl, stopping just long enough to duck down to kiss her tiny face. He wished he could be here with his grandchildren all the time, but they were scattered all over the world. It broke his heart to return to visit only to find them grown in leaps and bounds, but he knew at this point in his life that staying rooted wasn't what he or Callum really wanted.
So, he would be the grandbaba that spoiled them rotten, when he was there - and offer what support he could for them, and his children, when he could.
