The scissor kick connected with massive impact, sending Nuke sprawling backwards across the ring. He rolled so far that he went under the bottom rope, just about staying on the apron.
Coughing and spluttering, Nuke tried to catch his breath.
JR: My God, Lance is beating seven hells out of Nuke!
King: It's looking like a triumphant return for Lance!
JR: Let's see if anything changes, but this isn't looking good.

Seeing where Nuke landed, Lance put his hands in the air and
throwing the horns, and quickly launched himself against the ropes
on the opposite side of the ring.
As he hit the centre of the ring, he dropped into a slide,
attempting to plant his feet into Nuke's abdomen and
knock him off the apron.

Fans at ringside screamed at The Redeemer to move out of the way, but it was just too late by the time he had stopped trying to get oxygen back into his lungs.
The slide was vicious as Nuke went sprawling to the outside, rolling hard across the unforgiving mats and crashing hard into the barricades!

A chorus of boos began to echo around the arena as Nuke dropped off the apron
and hit the mat with a thud. Lance stood up, taking in the crowd reaction.
"Where's your hero now huh?" he yelled back amid the shouts and jeers from the crowd.
King - "The Redeemer hasn't made any attempt to defend
himself at all so far JR! Whats going on with him?"
JR - "Your guess is as good as mine King, but if he doesnt do something soon,
Nuke's gonna find himself in a whole mess of trouble."
King - "You"ve got that right JR, we've seen what Lance is capable of
in this kind of match - it's not gonna be pretty!"
Lance dropped and rolled under the bottom rope to stand on the mat next to Nuke.
He leaned in, attempting to pull Nuke up by the hair again.
"You wanted the spotlight, you got it. In front of all these people as they watch their hero, their 'Redeemer' fall"

This beating was not only brutal, but it was infinitely personal. There was something deeper here, and Lance was letting out what seemed like absolute years of frustration.
Nuke was yanked up his hair again, his face a little sunken, the strikes he had just received already taking their toll. Lance spewed venom as he spoke and Fusion could only reply,
"We don't .. we don't have to do this Lance .."
The Redeemer looked up at his friend and smiled,
"But if you insist .."
Nuke threw his head back and then suddenly forward, aiming for a hard headbutt!

Lance was caught off guard, the impact from the headbutt rocking him and causing him to stagger backwards into the edge of the ring.
King - "Looks like Nuke's got some fight in him after all JR!"
JR - "It certainly looks like it King, this one's personal for both these superstars - I think we're in for an absolute slobberknocker of a match here tonight!"
Lance shook his head, still reeling slightly from the headbutt, but looked at Nuke with a smile.
"Heh...that's more like it..."

Nuke gave a wry smirk before replying,
"I'm done redeeming for a night, Lance"
Fusion then ran at Hawkwind, looking to leap up and catch him with a dropkick, aiming to send him back towards the ring post!

There was a cheer from the crowd as Lance felt the impact of Nuke's boots into his chest when the dropkick connected, knocking the wind out of him and sending him reeling backwards.
He felt another heavy impact in his back as the momentum from the dropkick slammed him into the cold steel of the ring post. He slumped to one knee, leaning on the ring steps and taking a moment to catch his breath.

Nuke connected with the dropkick and used the momentum to flip backwards, landing in a superhero-style pose.. epic!
Except, of course, the fact that he instantly held his ribs from the punishment he took early in this match. Persevering through gritted teeth, Nuke looked around him.. was it time?
Reaching over the barricade, Fusion grabbed a steel chair from a where a fan was seated and turned to face Lance, a little smile on his face now.

Lance looked up at Nuke, and smiled as he saw the steel chair in his opponent's hands.
"Now...now we're talking..."
He got back up to his feet slowly, gauging what Nuke was going to do next.

Nuke cracked the chair against the barricade, making a sickening noise. The crowd nearby set off in a loud cheer as Fusion slowly crept forward towards Lance..
And throws the chair towards him, expecting him to catch it!
If he does, The Redeemer would aim another dropkick against the chair!

As Nuke threw the chair, Lance instinctively bought his hands up to catch the chair, only to see Nuke launch himself into the air toward him feet first.
There was sickening crack as Nuke's boots connected with the chair and slammed it against Lance's head.
JR - "My god! What a chair shot with that dropkick!"
King - "Looks the Redeemer has kicked back into action JR! Lance didn't see that one coming!"
The chair shot knocked Lance prone, his head ringing from the impact.

Nuke immediately sprung to his feet, raising a fist in the air to a massive cheer from the crowd!
Looking around the arena, he knew that the two performers had them in the palm of their hands.. but this was still personal. There was still unfinished business to resolve here, regardless of whether the crowd were on board or not.
Fusion looked around him and walked to the ring apron, reaching underneath and .. pulled out a table to a big cheer from the crowd again!

Lance heard the cheers after the chair shot, and saw Nuke pulling a table out from under the ring.
He pulled himself up, and moved towards Nuke, aiming an double-handed hammer strike at his opponent's back while he was occupied with the table.
