"I'm sorry, I forgot you might not have it yet. Its a ring that you can find on your wonder. Its sort of unique to each knight, where and how you find it, from what I've heard. But its a useful communication device that lets you send basically physical mail magically, by marking the paper with your seal. I can't give you much information on how to find yours, but I do highly recommend you try. Then you can reach me or Kerberos any time you need us."
Brown eyes swept both ways before they crossed the street at the edge of the park, on the look out for more than just cars coming their way. With few out tonight, it felt safe to keep on with their line of conversation without censoring too much of it. If anyone approached them, she'd be keeping track against the possibility that the pair looked like too tempting of a target for the various night predators this city hosted.
Her steps slowed a little as as heat warmed her cheeks under Celadon's earnestness, glad she had her face tucked into her scarf despite how it muffled her voice. Her fingers curled in her pockets as she shrugged, more out of embarrassment than dismissal.
"I wish we didn't have to do it, that no one had to. I don't find it callous... but I might take all of it rather seriously sometimes. I've kind of let it take over my life outside of uniform as well as when I'm 'on duty', which is definitely not something I'd recommend for everyone. I'm... glad that its appreciated, even if that's not really why I do it. I'm glad that you're here too... and I fervently hope we can keep you safe so you can continue to be here." She said as she lifted her head enough to flash a warm smile. "If you ever need medical attention... come to DC Memorial. I work in the emergency room. I can help you get patched up and sort out what to tell your family and friends, if you need it."
The warm light of the cafe threw yellow highlights over the pair as they approached, gilding the sidewalk and lightposts they passed.
"Do you have any more questions about this stuff, before we go in?"
