s**t, another one. Cursing, Beatrix shifted to pull something from subspace, something that that prickly feeling throughout her wanted. She could take on two kids but now there was a third one, she barely got the thing in her mouth and crunched down on it before she brought her wrists up to block the hit. It hurt, not as bad as some other hits she'd blocked before, but she didn't like it either way. Looking over this newcomer, she tried to think through the guide to figure out which flavor of knight this was and settled on it being one of those time ones... pluto? At least that's what she thought but it wouldn't really change anything about them punching her. Death glare might be putting it mildly but the look she gave this newcomer showed just how pissed she was. "Maybe if you were actually my size a*****e." Kicking down at their foot with the sharp boned heel of her boots, she felt that rush again from the starseed she'd chomped down. Some of that prickliness subsided, the itchy feeling she got when she didn't have one for too long, but now she had a few options as she noticed the two pipsqueaks moving in to surround her. There weren't a lot of options and she knew her creature couldn't manage more than one at a time so at best she could get two of three down but that would leave one up and any one of these goody two shoes could call a princess and she wasn't looking to get decked by another one.

Jasper had thrown punches before but the strength was new and different. He was stronger but this woman braced and parry with skill. She knew how to fight! Grunting in pain as her heel dug into him, he was forced to take a step back and regain his footing. It wasn't hard to hear the children's plan. If he could keep her attention on him, that'd leave the boys a chance to pin her. It was a sickly feeling trusting children in a fight when he as a grown adult should be protecting them but the current rules of logic were far outside of their normal squares. "You are outnumbered beautiful. Can I offer you the chance to run back to the goth store you crawled out of?" it wasn't a good idea to let her go but what was he going to do? Arrest her? He wasn't a cop, would the police even believe any of this?!

Well, damn. Lisse knew that curse words didn’t count if they were said in his head, and honestly…he felt that if he were old enough to fight in a literal war...he should be old enough to curse if he wanted, but this new guy was going for it hard and he chewed his lip for a moment before doing the same.
“Eat my fist you birch!” Though, he didn’t actually punch, but rather grabbed a fistfull of the woman’s plentiful hair and tugged with all the supernatural strength he had.
It was more than he had as Luke, and honestly? Hopefully it would be enough. “Grab some hair too, bro. Let’s make her bald!”

Righting himself, Halle noticed the lady eat something that...glowed. What did she just eat?! Alarm bells began to ring in the back of his head at the sight, instinct telling himself that he wouldn't like the answer. The older page seemed pretty comfortable throwing punches at her, at least. And Lisse was...enthusiastically pulling her hair. Which looked awful and effective to be fair. Halle, though, opted for aiming a sharp kick to her shin. "What...did you just eat, ma'am?!" He wanted to know, even if he wouldn't like the answer.

It made her skin crawl as that knight called her beautiful and she visibly made a face at the comment while ignoring the rest of it. It also made her bristle at them telling her to run because it made her want to break his teeth in and eat those words. But if she didn't get out of here Chrys would be disappointed in her and that was the last thing she wanted from her Eternal. It was obnoxious and as one of the brats tugged at her hair she wrapped an arm around them and threw them at the older knight. "Take this damn pixie stick!" She could feel some of her knotted hair pulling free when she tossed them as she turned to look at the other kid. With the two hopefully needing a second to sort themselves out, she willed her magic out as she took the hit to her shin with a flinch. It wasn't the best but always wasn't the worst as she reached a hand into their chest for just a moment. "Take a guess." An evil little smile curled up as she pulled back and let the fog hide her. It was easier to get out this way and her creature would persist for a bit even if she was gone. They were always good like that, making sure she could get a clean getaway. She'd let them scramble around in the fog trying to find her for a bit as she made her way down an alley and off to continue grabbing starseeds for the evening. {Exit} orangeish sherbert Super Sailor Scout Attack: Beatrix's Embrace A dark fog radiates out from Beatrix, a shadowy figure appears behind the enemy and whispers something before wrapping them in its cold body. They can clearly see the armor and fact that the figure is headless. It disappears with a laugh as the magic fades. Radius is 8 feet. "Whoa! I got you!" He had seconds to react catching the flying child. He was a bit lighter than Jasper expected, once his feet were under him and he steadied the kid in his arms he checked them over. to make sure they were unharmed "You okay....ah....kid?" He would have said the kids name if he knew it but he was just as lost. What were the strange outfits they were all wearing!?
As the girl slipped into the fog Jasper looked up to see the dullahan once again standing in the way, yet his fear of the childhood boogy man didn't draw as much fear as it first did. He could fight back. Carefully setting down the boy, Jasper stood in between them "Alright you, Back to the shadows too." Was he thinking clearly? maybe not, all of this was weird and bananas and he really hated those! Running forward to keep the creature away from the other boy, Jasper swung hard, throwing his full shoulder into the punch denting the metal chest plate with a yell of angered pain.

Lisse didn’t really know what happened. One moment he was being brave and cool…and the next he was being tossed at the other…older Page. “Ah, Yeah I’m cool. I’m great.”
He struggled to get back to a sturdy position on his feet and watched as the creepy creature was punched, and then seemed to…evaporate.
The crazy dark girl was gone too, and that was a good thing…honestly…
“Halle, you okay?”
He hurried over to his brother, frowning and trying to just…do something. That…had been intense.
“...Also…uh…new guy…are you okay? That yell had been…intense and…well. “Did it hurt you?” Was he referring to the magic or the crazy girl? Yes. Maybe both./size]

Touching his chest, the image of her hand sliding inside it, Halee's gaze was first empty, and then intensely unhappy. "No, I don't we're okay at all. But yeah," he immediately contradicted, "I'm fine, I guess?" Grim-faced, he looked at the adult page, "Thanks for the assist." Thankfully she left after being out-numbered, but how many like her were out there? Right now?

Watching as the creature faded into the fog Jasper cradled his left hand rubbing out the soreness. He doubted it was through his powers that the thing disappeared. Turning back to the two brightly colored boys he was relieved to see them mostly unharmed. "No I'm alright, It just had a tougher hide than I was expecting." Shaking the pain out of his hand he walked closer to them. "INames Jasper honestly it's me who should be thanking you two. Had you not come to stop her when you did... He stopped to touch his own chest where he could still feel her hand touching...something in him...shiver down his back. Actually, these two might have a bit more information on what is going on! " Actually you two jumped in real quick. What are you What...am I? I touched this gear and look like this now." He was beyond confused showing off the small green gear in his hand to them.

“Oh…” Lisse looked at his brother with some concern and hesitated, reaching out and grasping his shoulder for a moment. Finally, he looked back to…Jasper?
“Is that…like your real name? You…so you just powered up? The same thing happened to us not too long ago…um…” He tried to remember what the Jupiter Squire had told them and just let out a breath. His hands were shaking a little, and he wasn’t sure what that witch had done to his brother, but he didn’t want to deal with it again.
“You…should um…have another name? Like, if you close your eyes and think about it it should come to you? And um…when you want to be…ah. Jasper again just…think about who you are? And…you should turn back into you? It sounds dumb but…that’s just what happens…”

Jasper? Weren't the agents named after minerals? But this guy was definitely another knight. Absently, Halle scanned the man for any symbols. Pluto? Targovishte had been Jupiter. Did every space body have knights or was it just the big ones and some oddballs like Lysithea? Hearing the man thank them, Halle just nodded and then froze. Wait, this guy was the civilian she'd been attacking? And he'd just found his own weird craft-supply-of-fate? That was...interesting, actually. Letting Lisse guide the man, Halle pinched his chin in thought. That was definitely not a coincidence. Had the need of the moment summoned up this guy's power-up item? Had their own been a similar situation, the presence of danger, one they hadn't even noticed, brought them forward? It sometimes felt that there were powers that be watching over them, but other times it felt like they were basically alone and without anything to guide them other than other passing knights and the occasional talking cat. Looking back over at Jasper, he gave the man a sympathetic look.

"Another Name? Powered up?" He parrots these words as if saying them aloud would help him understand better. "Powered up into what? Can you tell me what you are?" Maybe he was overloading them with too many questions. The pinker-looking one said they powered up like him. So they were at least human too he guessed. All of this was outlandish. It's something out of a comic book or a B movie plot. Yet these two weren't seemly malic...Someone had to have slipped something into his drink and he was having a hell of a trip. Might as well enjoy the trip and humor these two. Touching the top of his head he found he was wearing strange goggles. They said close his eyes yet he felt he needed to lower these. Slipping them down he closed his eyes taking a few deep breaths. Another sharp pain slipped into his chest, not like a knife but dull like a memory of grief without pictures and a female voice, distant and muted like a shout from underwater, calling out a name. "Meramec....My name...was knight Meramec" Pushing up the goggles as a splitting headache crashed into his skull. Panic rose in him as something of a memory tried to push forward but he couldn't scratch past the walls. Not remembering was leaving feelings of panic that he couldn't place. Opening his eyes he was feeling very trapped all of a sudden. He had to get out of here. "I-I should be getting back. Thank you for your help. Ah be...safe." Why was he panicking? There was no threat, he had to find someone....NO! He needed to power down and go home, get out of this fever dream! It was out of habit to hope to meet someone again. These two kids seemed nice enough but he wasn't sure if he wanted to meet them... Pulling himself together and stuffing down the panicked feeling, he couldn't quiet offer them a big smile but at least it wasn't a grimic "I don't know what to do with this, I'll head home now. If you two are in the Yard district, I have a shop there. You're welcome to stop by and I can thank you properly then."

"Uh..." Lisse hesitated but nodded, not wanting to argue with the guy--he was old after all and...he had to take care of his brother and...get home...
This whole thing had been a lot and he swallowed before moving back to Halle and beginning to guide him away. "...Just...be careful...Meramec?" He called, and then tugged Halle away from the other Page. Maybe he should have stayed...tried to help him but...
Adults were silly and honestly? Couldn't be helped sometimes.
