The distraction proved to be a success and it provided him a few precious moments to recover. He hobbled up onto his injured leg and made it back to the chair where he had the piece of steel pipe from earlier.
He looked to press the advantage with a shot to the back of Kobra, looking to take the man down a few pegs.

Rex went stiff as the pipe connected and staggered forward dropping to a knee as pain radiated through his spine.

A wicked sneer crossed his face as he bashed to the pipe against Rex's spine. As the creepy cult leader sank to a knee, Reich took the chance to quickly measure his opponent. He got into position and looked to press the advantage with a Regal knee trembler to the head.

Kobra had just about dislodged the debris from his eyes or so he thought when a knee connected with his skull, stunning him and dropping him down to the ground in a daze. As the big man hit the dirt, a nearby light started to flicker. The ref checked on Rex to make certain he was still conscious and able to fight as the light continued to fight for its existence. Rex nodded through the daze and started to stir more.

The feeling of his knee connecting with the man's head caused something in him to awaken, some sort of animalistic bloodlust or feral desire to rip his opponent to pieces.
He watched with baited breath as the ref checked Rex to see if he could continue and as the ref was shooed away, he looked to deliver a punt kick to the head.

Rex started to stir and get up. Dazed and confused, he tried to shake the cobwebs loose in his head when a kick connected with his head and dropped him. He hit the ground and the light that was flickering went out completely prompting yet another light in the area to start flickering. The ref started to check on Rex . He grabbed the man's wrist and lifted his hand once. and dropped it once to see if he was out.
He did it again and again the hand dropped. As the ref grabbed his arm again, the air started to fill with the sound of voices. Low and indiscernible just floating on the air. The ref raised the arm and let go and this time it didn't drop. Something was keeping Rex in the fight. He was still conscious but still seemed rather dazed.
Though as the voices continued, the sluggishness seemed to be lessening.

The kick had hit flush and a thrill had went through him at the prospect that he had ended the threat so early. So it was quite shocking to see the ref drop Rex's hand down twice only for it to pop up before it had hit the ground for the final time.
It was then that he heard it, the quiet but unmistakable sound of voices on the wind. He pushed the sound out of his mind and he waited until Rex was on his hands and knees before he looked to attempt a curb stomp that would slam the Kobra's head into the unforgiving earth.

The voices started to get louder and louder as Rex started to push himself to all fours. They seemed to wake something in Rex and as Erynys went for the stomp, Rex would attempt to suddenly launch up and catch him with a desperate spear.
If the move connected, Rex would lay still on the ground for a moment to regain more of his strength and clarity of mind before attempting to try and cover his opponent for pin.

The spear caught him off guard and he hit the ground hard which knocked the air out of him. He thought that the chanting was just in his head, but if anything, it had grown louder.
As he lay there, he felt Rex make the cover and heard the ref count.

At the last moment, he popped his shoulder up and broke the count. He lay there trying to get his wits about him.

The chanting continued in the air for a few moments, as Rex started to push himself up. He got to his feet and the voices ceased. He smirked down at Erynys and gestured around him.
"You are without your family, Erynys...but I am not without mine."
With that, Rex would attempt to start delivering a vicious series of stomps to Erynys's chest.

He gazed up at him defiantly before the stomps began. Each one hammered the air out of his lungs and forced him back down into the hard ground. No matter how he tried to cover up, each one seemed to find their mark.
Despite this, he couldn't help giggling as a deranged smile came to his face. "So close and yet so far Herr Rex."

Rex looked around at the ground and found his tire iron. He grabbed it and looked back to Erynys. With a wicked smile all his own, he raised it above his head and attempted to bring it down onto Erynys's knee as punishment for the knee, the punt, and the attempted stomp.

An explosion of pain burst in him as the tire iron made contact with his knee. He couldn't help but scream as it felt like his knee had shattered into pieces.
The ref was there to ask him if he wanted to quit and he swore with a resounding negative. The ref looked at him and stepped away, letting the match continue.
He panted as he held his knee in pain, all the while glaring in rage at Rex.

Rex let out a deranged chuckle before attempting to put his foot onto the damaged knee and step up to stand, putting his full weight onto the banged up limb for a extra dose of torture.

He bit his lips so much to keep from screaming in pain that he tasted the coppery tang of his own blood in his mouth. He tried to locate his weapon, but it was no where in sight since he took the spear.
No matter, how he tried to relieve the weight on his injured leg, he was effectively pinned down.
