Nuke slowly got to his feet, perhaps unsure as to why Drako wasn't continuing his offensive.
"There's no true hate in your heart, Drako. You're just lost, like so many others. Tonight.. tonight you'll see the way"
With that, Fusion stepped forward and offered a tie up

Drako rolls his eyes. He could show the man better than he could tell him. So he goes right into the tie up and quickly attempts to catch Nuke in standing side headlock

Nuke expected Drako to be on top form and he already was, as he headlock was put in to place. Perhaps Nuke's epic match with Hiro had done some longer lasting damage, or perhaps it was that Drako was just the man.
Nuke struggled a moment before looking to walk Drako to the ropes, aiming to use them as a point to whip him to the other side of the ring.

Drako finds himself shot off to the ropes, not completely unexpected if he's honest. On the rebound, he'd look to catch the Redeemer with a quick shoulder block takedown

Drako was sent away but came hurtling back, the shoulder tackle catching Nuke.. but he was able to hold his feet, only being shifted a step away.
He smirked and almost demanded of Drako,
"Again!"

Obviously, that was sarcasm. Still Drako hits the ropes and rebounds back with another shoulder block takedown attempt

Nuke stands firm and braces, the impact his time a little harder.. he wobbles, but keeps his feet on the mat. The crowd gives off a cheer as Fusion smirks and looks at Drako,
"Your empire is due to crumble, listen to the fans. They want the old Dragon back.. not this sick and twisted shadow of what you used to be."
With that, Nuke tries something completely out of his usual arsenal - he attempts to back hand the Champ!

the Soaring Dragon would have replied to that, if not for the backhand he caught that spins him slightly to the side. Drako pushes his hair back out of his face and exhales.
"Careful what you wish for."
The champion spins back, stepping slightly out of his own norm as he aims a spinning back kick for the side of Nuke's head

The spinning back kick was sent with precision as Nuke just couldn't react in time, taking a strike to the face that took him back down to one knee. The crowd jeered loudly at the move, but in his own mind Nuke was cursing himself - he was too slow there.

Drako's ear might still be ringing from the backhand, but he's going to have to keep going. So, he'd quickly look to follow up with a shining wizard

If Drako was going for a quick win, his offensive maneuvers were definitively alluding to that. But Nuke had to be quicker this time as he rolled away, almost grunting at Drako.

the unfortunate part of Nuke moving is that Drako has nowhere to go but the mat, though he does make his way back to his feet after, somewhat carefully

Nuke looked over at Drako,
"Sometimes I forget how agile you are. A real Champion, but you still have something to prove, don't you?"
Fusion got slowly back up to his feet and looked to offer another tie up to Drako, this time aiming to catch him off his guard with a quick elbow to the side of the head!

the champ was prepared to be forced into a tie up here but instead gets rocked with an elbow to the side of the head. Drako falls back against the ropes

Nuke moves in like a boxer this time, hunching in low and moving his body towards the Champ. He looks to get a series of strikes in low, aiming to hit Drako's ribs and abdomen.
