Iexadaroch 4 His eyes mirrored the concern in his brother's eyes for two reasons. Reason one, because Lynx was his identical twin, they were nearly the same person and he didn't want his brother's lady or his brother to be in pain and two equally important to him, was the thought of Sarnai being in pain in a similar situation. That hurt too. He sneezed, apologized for it and sneezed agian. Gah dumb pollen. He wasn't sure what he could do, or if he would be able to help her any more than the other two, perhaps sea water was the best idea? He hoped so, it looked like it had brought the female at least some relief. All he could do now was stand stoicly as support, and if anyone had any good ideas he would help. He thought hard but ... "I have some salve I use on critter wounds, I don't know if that would help after you pull your hand out of the water Teluj but it does have lidocaine in it. It will help numb the pain." He pulled out the rounded tin from his hip pouch, just in case she wanted it later.

As if things couldn't get any worse, it did. The water splashing onto her skin and hair was starting to have a similar reaction. Whimpering against the pain Teiluj turned to look at the couple behind her. Not that she could actually see. Her eyes had gone stark white. As if blindness had taken hold, her skin looked as if a rapidly growing lycin was racing around her body. Forcing her skin to peel back like flakes of an onion.
The crystals on her skin were just as eager to join the events as they too made their own dramatic changes. Tiny shimmers of color pooled in various sections of each crystal. Each with a varied size, all growing bigger, as if consuming the color previous to it.
The pain had turned into an itch. A burning need to scratch left the hybrid uncomfortable. Reaching up to lightly scratch at her skin, Teiluj had ended up peeling skin off of her arms where she had started scratching. Reaching up to rub at her left eye Teiluj found she could see again.
Unbeknownst to her, the skin under her peeling was a different shade. The eye she had rubbed was no longer the golden yellow she had always known. Instead her eyes now appeared to match the color of a pale lime.
Her hair had taken to shifting colours from a sandy blond to a more reddish tone. She opened her mouth to speak but all she could manage were some raspy whispers that made no sense. In essence she was starting to appear rather demonic in nature. "I don't think salve will help this. It's everywhere"

Seeing that the pain didn't go away even with her trying to use water for comfort made him frown. When she couldn't seem to get words out he moved to be by her side and offered his hands toward her for comfort. Whether she wanted to hold them or have him hold her would be up to her and depend on how much pain she was in. Lynx didn't want to cause her more. "I'm no healer Teiluj so I don't know what to do."
Hearing his brother say he had some salve if needed made him look toward Iexa with a grateful look. He knew his twin could understand his own worry - had it been Sarnai that was feeling pain then Iexa would be where he was.
Turning back to Tei he waited to see what he could do for her.

Sar 5 She furrowed her brow a little before she looked at Iexa. Was he experiencing anything? Then she looked at Lynx for any signs of something similar. Nothing. And then she took stock of herself. She didn't feel pain. Though she did end up sneezing again. The pollen was annoying but it didn't seem to be bothering the rest of them as much as it was her. "Maybe we should get her inside?" It was the only suggestion she could give for her boyfriend's brother.

Iexadaroch 5 He was starting to get quite concerned...and then the itching started on him, his skin began to flake away. "Uh Sar?" He tried to get her attention. "It might be a bit late for me but I second going inside." He swallowed. His crystals were turning a murky brown color and he was terrified for himself, for his twin's mate, for his own mate and his twin. If it was affecting him it could affect anyone. His breathing picked up, panicing wouldn't help but that seemed to be what was about to happen. "Its spreading." He said in an even voice that he decidedly did not feel on the inside, he racked at his arms, gods the itching was horrible but at least his crystals were not leaking. Small mercies indeed, they were definitely doing something and the skin under the flakes was decidedly darker...than normal new skin. "Uh, am I changed colors all over?" He grabbed a lock of hair. Okay well that was staying the same so far.

The scratching and rubbing continued. Teiluj couldn't see through the milky haze covering her eyes. Blinking tears free until she could see again, the hybrid started to settle down as the temporary discomfort eased. Sighing a relief she turned to look towards Iexa, her eyes widened with the realization that he too was changing. Turning to look at Lynx to see if he too was afflicted with the same problems as his twin. He was not. Her once golden eyes had taken on a greener tint to them than before. Her hair had shifted from the sandy blonde to more of a pale strawberry hue. Even her skin had taken on a tone that was a bit darker than before. Her crystals had deepened in color. She was no longer the muted peach that she was before.
Ignoring her current circumstances, she reached out and took Lynx's hand. "You're brother's woman has the right idea. C'mon we better get inside before this causes any more problems. Are you okay Sar?" Teiluj asked while pushing herself to her feet. "Whatever it is I don't want to touch it anymore. Nope I'm totally out of here."
Her feet made heavy somewhat angry footfalls in the sand as she progressed towards Tao. Taking hold of a towel she handed one to Lynx before covering herself with another. She was soaked now from the seawater and covered in sand. "This better all just be a really bad dream." Teiluj grumbled

She looked toward Iexa when she heard him say her name and when she noticed that he was also going through some change she furrowed her brow. "This is dangerous.." She looked down at her own skin to see if she was being effected. It didn't look like it. So that wasn't an issue. As far as she could tell the only thing she was getting from the pollen was sneezes.
When Teiluj seemed to be comforted a bit and said she agreed with her she made a shooing motion toward Iexa. "Inside with you. We'll have to figure out what's going on." And by that she meant they needed to see what was changing.

Lynx 6 When he heard his brother start to say things he looked toward him and then went wide eyed. It was happening to Iexa as well? He looked toward Sarnai to see if she was afflicted and then down at himself. Nothing. As Tei seemed to feel a little better he searched her with his eyes to see what he could of her changes. While he noticed that she was different he didn't mind. He was more worried that she might be hurt. With everyone in agreement about going inside he stood and walked behind Teiluj, unable to help the little smirk at her stomping. "Alright.. everyone inside. We'll need to get this stuff off us to make sure no one else is affected." That was mostly for him and Sarnai.

Iexa 6 He followed the others inside, at least his vision wasn't affected, but he scratched all the way, he wondered if a dunking would help, though water had not helped Tei, but they were right, two of them doing the chameleon thing was enough. He took deep breaths trying to fight panic. He wasn't alone and his didn't seem at severe, he was till worried for his brother's mate and for his own. But Sar and Lynx looked fine, what was different about him and Tei? It was a question he couldn't answer and it drove him wild. Deep in thought he didn't say much as they headed in. At least Tei was feeling good enough to stomp. He trusted Sarnai and Lynx to help them figure it out and protect them in this vulnerable moment. It was nice to be surrounded by such competant people whom he loved.

Post 7 Teiluj found the first comfortable spot she could, sitting down with an indignant huff. She could see her own hair clinging to the skin around her chest. It was no longer the soft sandy brown she had been born with. Instead it now had a tint of red in it, lifting a damp lock away from her body Teiluj inspected it with a growing disdain. This wasn't her. Eyes shifted to her feet where her ankles and legs had skin lifting up. Reaching down with shaky tentative hands Teiluj pinched a piece of lifted skin. Slowly pealing it back watching is separate from her body like the shed of a snake. While the color of the skin underneath was a different color, the act of pealing away the stop layer of her skin had an odd satisfaction to it. Like her hair, her skin now had a bit more of a reddish tint to it. Huffing again, Teiluj mentally noted how it was akin to a sunburn. It wasn't hard for her to have been witness to the darkening in her crystals either. Though that had been far less of a shock than the rest of her changes. Realizing how self absorbed she was, Teiluj looked first to Lynx then to his brother and finally Sari. Her mind whirling as she tried to make sense of the strange phenomena. "The trees." Teiluj muttered, hypothetically. "Wouldn't they be the only possible plants around that could possibly have pollen like this?" Shaking her head she promptly dropped the subject. Her eyes focused on the male hybrid she had come to love so much. Her hands reaching towards his to rest her's over his briefly, mostly to reassure herself about the changes. Biting her lower lip she finally spoke again. "I'm going to make us some tea. I'm sure you're just as worried about your brother." In actuality, Teiluj needed to so something to occupy herself before risking being swallowed by her own spiraling mind. Leaning towards Lynx, Teiluj kissed him, "I'll make your favorite. With everyone moving to be inside she moved over to Ixea and looped one arm with his. She noticed that he looked miserable. "Leave it alone and we'll figure it out once we're inside." She didn't want him to end up in pain like Teiluj had been.
Sarnai tugged a little to get him to move faster to get inside. Once there she looked over at Lynx then at Teiluj. The change she saw in the girl was a bit striking. "Oh wow." Was all she said. Too bad she had no changes to herself.

He followed Teiluj, not really caring about the color changes she had. Lynx was more worried about how she was. At the offer for tea he looked confused for a second but nodded. "Alright.."
As Tei moved away Lynx looked over at his brother to see what was going on with him. Did he have a drastic change as well? So gar nothing but one never knee.

Iexa 7 At least Sar was on top of things, making sure as usual that he himself was okay. He patted her had with much gratitude as she steamed them both toward the house. He was so grateful for her. Iexa's eyes widened at Teiluj, she still looked good, but she didn't look much like herself. He took a big inhale, worried about what might change on him, just for the sake of a stark disturbance, he didn't much care about his coloration but he did like the look of himself in the mirror on the day to day being the same solid colors as his freaking identical twin. If he changed, and make no mistake he was changing, he would have a much harder time pretending to be Lynx at family gatherings. Swatch Changes Leaf Crystals #10 Fire Skin #11
