The strike would connect to the dome of Trent, causing him to fall back into the nearest corner. Trying to protect himself from the champion who is getting the better of him so far in this contest.

Drako advances on the challenger and aims to really lay into him with alternating rights and chops, the goal being simply to take out his irritation on the challenger and beat him down in the corner

The strikes would wear down Trent. Exhausting him as he would slowly fall deeper and lower into the corner until he was full seated against the turnbuckle.

At this point the referee is demanding the champion lay off and Drako glares at him, which does indeed make him stop striking Trent. Well, that is until he returns and attempts to mudhole stomp him in the corner

The stomps would stack as the official would once again try to get in between both competitors. Trent taking a lot of abuse so early on in this match, definitely showcasing the Champion at his best!

Once again, Drako lets up, tossing his hair back from his face as the referee backs him up. The champion seems to give in, only to charge back in and launch himself at Trent, attempting a canon ball senton against the corner

Right before Drako would launch himself, the contender would get begin to roll out of the corner and out of the way of an incoming bullet that had his name on it!

Well, the challenger had to find a way to fight back sooner or later, and this was potentially that point. Drako, instead of bashing Trent's skull into the turnbuckle and flattening him flatter than a Beyonce note in her recent music, crashes into the buckle instead and hits the mat

Trent just barely avoided disaster. And now that the Champ was down, what was he going to do? First, he began to fight back to his feet, trying to shake off all the strikes he has received throughout this short match already. Once he was back to his feet, he looked to send two good stomps to the downed champ's back. Trying to buy some more time and keep pressure on!

One stomp hits and then another, as the champion rolls to the ropes to once again get to his feet. He was going to feel that later but staying on the mat wasn't an option

Drako made it to the ropes. Trent being the gentleman he was, would look to help Drako and speed up the process. But once the champ got back to his feet, Trent would look to give a receipt to Drako in the form of a big chop to the chest.

Drako is clocked with a loud chop, forcing him to lean against the ropes, his right arm hanging onto the top rope. He lets out a breath as his chest gets the slightest tinge of red

Felt great to do that after all the chops he took. After relishing the moment, Trent would grab the arm of Drako that wasn't draped over the rope, and looked to send Drako to the opposite side of the ring where he had a clothesline waiting on the rebound!

the champion seems to have lost control as he finds himself whipped towards the ropes. Drako rebounds back but spots the clothesline and ducks under it, looking to catch Trent from behind with a quick release German suplex

Drako was quite quick. Just barely slipping under the arm of Trent, Drako would get behind him and deliver a quick german that would see Trent flying back just short of the ropes.
