Kai nodded to this as they walked through the sea of people, keeping close to hear and to offer a bit of a buffer from the crowds.
"Are there things you want to try just in normal everyday life. Like - not with dating." He asked, wanting to see if there were new experiences that Kioshi had been interested in but hadn't done yet. Did he want to go camping? Did he want to see the ocean? Did he want to see anything in this world that he hadn't seen before?
"I haven't gotten to do much in life, so wanted to know if there were things you ever wanted to see or try out." He asked, moving them over to stand in line.

Oh! Every day things that he'd want to do, things he hadn't done, that was for him abit of an interesting question. He didn't know what he'd odne in the past, not everything anyway, so he'd be going by who he was now since he had nothing from Hisoka to really go on and even if he did there was the lack of memories.
"I can't say if I've ever been to the ocean but that wouldn't be bad, just maybe not when it's bright out." He didn't much feel like dealing with the sun and it's burn, even if there was sunblock, he didn't like the sun and heat much to be honest. "I assume I know how to swim." Though he could be wrong and he might just find that out the hard way; oh how fun that would be.
"Concerts don't intrest me, I don't like them." For his own health he'd like to avoid such places, too mmany people and too much damn noise. "I know I traveled once, I had to, but I don't remember it. Traveling would be nice but it's a pipe dream." Not until he had more money and not until he had a home, a place to call his own, he didn't care if there was a mortgage attatched to it but so long as it was his place and such.
"Haunted houses, I don't like going alone but I want to go." Since the season for spooky things was coming up, and he enjoyed the spooky things, he hadn't gone on his own because it felt akward even if he didn't care most of the time. He stood out in the crowd more than usual when he went to certain things alone. "I should get some more decor for the season as well..." Not a lot, he wasn't over the top with it, but he did like to decorate for the season even if he didn't like to use the word decorate, it just wasn't a word he liked much.
"I want to get more ink as well." He wanted to get his back done at some point, and he had an idea of what he wanted, he just hadn't had the time and didn't know who to have do his back piece either.
"What about you? Considering how you grew up I'm going to assume you have a list."

"I haven't been to the ocean. I can't swim, but I think it would be okay to look at. I don't get people on cruises. That s**t's scary to me." He said, taking a few steps as the line moved slowly. As much as Kai had been dreaming about Krakens, actually being out on open water freaked him out. The idea of that much water, that much depth under him, was terrifying to him. You could be in a cave and not die by sitting down. But in the ocean, you have to keep yourself from dying. Everything around and under you was just a death sentence. It was why he couldn't watch the Titanic or Jaws.
"I don't got many musicans I like to go watch a concert. All of em either old or dead." He said, giving a shrug at the idea of going to a concert. Considering that Kioshi didn't like crowds and loud noises, it made sense he didn't have any interest.
"What music you like?" He asked, since it was brought up.
"I never did a haunted house. Never had the chance." Mainly because it would have been one of the many things a large family scrapping by couldn't go and do. Once Kai got out, he felt silly going alone at the age he was. There was also the worry that he'd get so scared he might just punch someone on accident.
"You into spooky stuff?" He didn't want to assume that someone who wore black might have Halloween as their favorite holiday. "Do you like Halloween?"
"Uh, for me? I wanna do the stuff kids get to do that I didn't. So like a carnival or going to those tourist sorta places to see something. Like to have a good place to live and be a full time artist people book up. Maybe get a car." A car would be nice. He had some friends who had really nice cars, but he wasn't willing to do what they did to get it. Not how he was being now. Better.
"Wanna pet a giraffe. Oh, and ride a horse once." He said, looking over at him.

"Mmm, I'll agree. I know I've been on a plane a few times, I can't remember it, but while I think it's scary I'd still do it." So he'd still likely try a cruise as well, if only to do it, and he'd deal with the worries of it. It was something you sometimes needed to do.
"Dead or old...I take it you like the oldies then." Somehow he didn't see that in the other so it was a surprise, though not a bad one, it was interesting and unexpected. At least it meant no concerts for them to go to, which was good for him, even though he was certain if Kai wanted to go he'd manage to go as well. he'd just take his medication with him incase he needed it.
"I don't mind classical, classical Japanese, some more modern Japanese music as well. I also listen to audio books." It really wasn't any surprise he liked softer music, like classical, considering he didn't like loud noise and classical was easier on him. The louder music however was something he kept on low so he didn't kill his ears, and cause a headache, he didn't get to blast his music in the car like a lot of people did.
"I like spooky things yeah, I don't like horror movies that are all blood and death for the sake of it. I like a good plot and story but I like spooky. I like the on edge, nervous, sort of feeling and the darker nature of Halloween. I rather Halloween over any other holiday." Including Christmas. He didn't like all the bright lights and cheer as much as he liked the spooky and creepy which came with fall. There was just something about it all, about the dark and mysterious air, which was attractive in a way.
"I have a car, but it's a pinch on affording, worth it though so I can get where I need when I need and not worry about public transport all the time." Pressing close to the others side, to avoid a group of teens passing by, he tilted his head and looked back over his shoulder to watch them heading off somewhere else. Mostly females in the group with three males, it was a large group of teens, such carefree looking teens they were. Such a nice
"I'd like a house and to be booked up as well. I don't need to be some famous artist, like bang bang or anyone like him, but I still want to be booked up and not have to worry about having clients." And he would really like to go to a haunted house this fall, or a few.
"Actually, maybe the next date should be a haunted house? Or we can do several haunted houses this fall?" Kinda like a bar crawl but different, very different.

"Never been on a plane. Hitchhiked a few times. But nothing else. Always been on the ground." He said as he tapped his sneaker on the ground.
"I like older music. There is some new stuff that's good. Stuff that sounds like it has a older feel. I like songs that talk about people's lives. How they are hurting. How they love people. Some stuff it just songs that are catchy. Like jingles. A fun sound but it's not like it's something that speaks to your insides. I like Dolly the most." He said, looking as he saw the ride slow down and people start to peel themselves off the walls and stumble their way out of the ride. A few looked as if they needed to sit down a while.
"I like Halloween for the fun feelings. Like dressing up, and like cheesey movies. And candy shaped like bats. I think more holidays should have foods shaped like other stuff." He said, smiling. "I think it's also pretty with the decorations. I like when people decorate places to look at. Makes places feel connected. Like they all want to be part of something shared. Christmas is the best for the lights."
The line started to move, and Kai moved alongside Kioshi. "You have a car? What kinda car you got?" He asked, curious. He just naturally assumed most people in the city didn't own a car and never assumed people even had their license.
"II uh - could do a haunted house. I just think if someone jumps at me, I might sock em out of defense. Like a jerk reaction. People used to try and jump me before. Got me real nervous to just throw a hand without thinkin. I don't think I will, but it has me worried." He looked at Kioshi's hand and took it. "Maybe if I do that, it won't happen."

While Kai had a clear reason for liking the music he did Kioshi didn't, he simply liked what he liked, he didn't have some reason that sounded as nice as the others. His sounded boring and simple and that was ok, even if it didn't sound as deep as the other did, but it was ok as Kioshi knew he was allowed to like what he did and he didn't need a reason. He was confident in that.
"Mm, I can understand those reasons for liking Halloween. I like that strangers are trusted with other peoples kids walking up to their doors and such. It's an exercise in trust as well." But for him it was the darkness and the spooky nature of this time of year, he enjoyed it. There might be some parts of it, some magical parts, he didn't like about Halloween in this city but otherwise he enjoyed it. He liked that feeling of being a bit on edge all the time...like something might just happen at any time. This city just made Halloween even better than usual. But the flavors and colors of the season, and the holiday, it was appealing to him.
"I prefer Halloween decorations on houses than the Christmas ones, again the spook factor in it, but I also like the unity in it. I like seeing a whole area decorated for the holiday, both of them in fact." That was one thing he did like, and he wondered for a breif moment if his own family had ever done such. How had they celebrated; had they celebrated? Had he been allowed to dress up and go around for Halloween for a few years of his life? It was all things he'd given up in order to join the Negaverse, memories he'd never regain, he knew if he changed sides again it wouldn't change or fix things. He wouldn't regain his memories or his family...he'd become someone new again. He'd have to rebuild again. It was a good thing he had no intentions of ever changing sides. He'd picked this side and he was glad for it, perhaps more now than he had been a month ago, but he had lost a lot for this.
Watching as people got off the ride he pulled the other along with him, as people started to climb on as well. "If me holding your hand will keep you from hitting someone I'll do it, I don't want to have to bail you out of jail." Teasing, he was teasing the other, the smile said it all. It was a rare thing for him to smile, especially like he was now, but he was. "I'll hold your hand if we can go to a haunted house...or a few." And people would jump out a lot, he knew they would, so he might have to do a lot of hand holding. Kioshi was ok with that.
"Come on, time to get on." Nodding his head he made a quick decision and moved to press his lips to the others cheek, giving his hand a squeeze. "I think this fall is going to be good."

"I do like Fall and Winter. It's nice seeing the weather and being inside. And people start making food that just slaps. Like you ain't sweatin balls anymore and can just be hanging out warm in some blankets. Don't care for freezin at the bus stop but otherwise it's good." He said, looking forward to the season already.
Moving up the steps onto the ride, he walked around with Kioshi until they found a empty spot on the wall. Each spot had a sort of colored mat piece for people to rest against so they weren't being spun up against a hard wall but a softly padded one.
Standing at the spot beside Kioshi, he continued to hold his hand.
"So like - do you like candy and stuff? Any favorite fall or winter foods? Do you get dressed up as anything?"
He looked around as the staff walked around making sure all the spots were filled and no one had anything they weren't supposed to be holding on them that might fling at anyone.
"I was a bear one Halloween. Rented the thing. Damn that was a hot outfit."

"I don't mind wearing layers, so I prefer it for that as well." Not to mention he didn't like sweating and he didn't like stripping down as much as some people did. The cooler months were nice for warm blankets, the smell of fire places, and more. There were so few reasons to like the summer and spring, though spring was better than summer.
Standing next to the other, ready to get strapped in, he shook his head. "I don't have a sweet tooth really. But I like hot pot., even though it's chinese, it's great for the coler months. In the colder months I like heavier foods." Something that left him feeling full and warm inside, because he tended to get cold easily, it left a satisfied feeling.
"I don't know if I did in the past but I didn't since I've changed things up in my life." Since he'd changed sides. He had been working that day anyway. "Perhaps this year I could go as a vampire?" Smirking as he flashed the fangs he had. "I think it'll be easy enough." Given his typically all black wardrobe ands the fangs he already had it honestly. "I think I could make it work." Watching as a worker got close to them, some small female with a ponytail hanging out the back of her hat, she seemed unsure about approaching for a moment even. How amusing.
"A bear...I could see that. I don't imagine it was cool at all. I don't think I could do something that confining."

"Coworker wanted to be Goldylocks but her boyfriend bailed on her to be with someone else so she was missing the bear. I said I'd fill in since her outfit wouldn't make sense otherwise. I had blood on my mask where she had a torn stomach. She offered to pay for the food so I said why not. Whole place was crowded though. Bars a mess as it is but try not to knock someone over when you can't see em." He said, adjusting as the staff locked everyone in and stepped out. Their voice crackled over the small speaker to announce the ride would be starting.
"Vampire would be cool. Gonna get a cape with those high collars?" He asked.
If Kioshi was a vampire, what could he be? Kai couldn't pull off a vampire. All his costume ideas were usually given to him by his coworkers as they liked dressing him up in a costume or having him there to hang out with. It was nice to be wanted, but he didn't have the kind of energy to stay there till 3am. Not without getting really drunk, and by then they were all a mess and he was waking up on someone's apartment floor where they all had to crawl together back to work.
No one wanted a hung-over tattoo artist at their appointment. Several tattoo guns going off at the same time could be like a hammer to the head.
Before he could think if Frankenstein's Monster went with Vampires, the ride kicked on and started it's course to gain speed.
It was a very good idea he hadn't eaten.

"Why were you even at the bar? Was it some sort of a Halloween party at the bar?" Bars were not his sort of place, and he was certain they weren't really Kai's either, so if he did get dressed up it would simply be for work and whatever errands he had to run that day. If he went out for lunch or to get groceries it would be there that he was dressed up. Ther would be no bar for him, too loud, and he wasn't the sort to drink so it was pointless to go to a bar for him. He also didn't dance; he was fairly certain he hadn't a clue how to dance.
"No, I would never be that cliche." He'd do a vampire though because it worked with his looks already, he wouldn't need to do much if anything really.
Wacthing the workers step back, and off the ride, he took a moment to ponder if this ride was really a good idea. His stomach was empty, something he was soon very glad for, but he was wondering how dizzy he might come off this ride...or if his stomach would even want to hold food later.
As they went round and round he tried to look over at the other, to see how he was holding up, while he tried to just enjoy the ride and enjoy the speed. He could ignore most of the screaming because he was busy dealing with all the spinning and speed and it was great really!
"Werewolf!" He shouted, hoping the other heard him, the idea hitting him as they spun round and someone near him screamed in some shreiking voice. He really was hoping he didn't get a headache from this. If he did he'd wind up so tired for work tomorrow, he always was tired the next day after a bad one.

"They were there to help support their friend who is a bartender during the Halloween Party and meet up with some other people they knew. I was just there for support and so they didn't feel so bummed out being alone with a costume they spent so much time on. It just felt like a waste. She worked hard on it and it just seemed bad she couldn't wear it cause it just didn't make much sense without the bear. Her ex was a huge a*****e for just thinking nothing of it." He shouted, but soon felt he couldn't continue the conversation anymore after that. The ride was now reaching a blurring speed that made the lights blur together. People screamed around them, and he felt his back press into the foam of the padding behind as gravity made moving even a finger up nearly impossible.
After some time, the ride started to slow and he felt his weight shift to no longer being glued to the wall to slowly eating back to stand on his feet. Slowly the ride stopped and the staff went around to let everyone out. It seemed everyone was being careful to move slowly out to the exit.
"I think - I need a break." Kai said as he tested his balance and felt a little more confident after two test steps that he wasn't going to topple.
Offering his arm, he asked - "You good?"
"How about we get a Lemonade or something and sit down." He suggested.

The ride came to an end, slowly, after hitting what seemed like max speed and as the workers boarded and started to let people free again. Kioshi stepoped down and wobbled, and swayed, and held onto something till he felt his legs gain some strength back to them. That had been a good ride, really it had, but he felt like he wanted to fall over as well.
Looking over to the other he gave a nod, slowly. "Yeah, a drink would be nice right now." Since he was on an empty stomach right now. It might be nice to get some food into himself as well...maybe, he wasn't sure really.
"Werewolf." Pointing his finger at the other then, as he stepped down fro mthe ride slowly, very slowly, and carefully as he looked over those lined up to get onto the ride - good luck to them. That hadn't been bad and yet it had been a lot.

"Werewolf? Huh. That could work. As long as I don't need a full fur suit." He said, smiling. "Don't need to be sweating to death." He said moving to go grab them some lemonade. Luckily there was a stall just for the drink as it was popular and a easy sell. Getting a large cup, he came back and took a drink before handing it off to Kioshi. "That taste a lot like summer. Haven't had that in a long time." He said, sitting down next to Kioshi.
"Do you want something to eat?" He asked, glad to be taking a break. The rides had been fun so far, but he was still new to them and that kind of velocity.
