Ivy is a friendly gardener who believes the best in everyone, regardless of their past or appearance. This is, obviously, a fairly naive way of viewing the world, but Ivy has been immensely fortunate enough in that she has yet to face someone who challenges her worldview, allowing her to live in her self-made bubble indefinitely. It is quite fortunate that Ivy has been given such peace in life, as she's prone to impulsive and rash decision-making.
Determined and full of ambition, Ivy seeks to learn new skills and help educate others on how to sustain themselves with natural and home-grown ingredients. She isn't often seen actually resting and seemingly is energized by socializing and activity, although she is empathetic enough to understand when her energy level needs to dial back a smidge.

Her mask was given to a widowed gardener, who would raise Ivy with love and compassion. Ivy found joy in helping her human parent around the house and in the garden, where she was kept safe and loved until her parent evidently passed. Ivy would wander for a time as an adult, always returning to her birth home and the slowly decaying home she had once shared with her human. During her travels, Ivy met Dread and Dianthea and, impulsively, had masks with the pair. She didn't regret the decision once and delighted in raising her children between homes. Shortly after her litter grew, Ivy headed back to her dilapidated home. Only... it wasn't destroyed anymore -- a makogi named Ximeno had settled with her home, believing it had long since been abandoned and begun repairing the interior. Ivy was delighted to welcome the house guest, and like a true rom-com, the two slowly fell in-love and even had their own litter together. Ivy decided to end her travels for the time and remain in her now beautiful home with her mate.

Bubbly, energetic, and a ray of sunshine, Poppy is just as naive as her mother with a heart of gold. She's an explorer by heart and easily tempted by adventure or mystery, leading her into more trouble than her mother could ever imagine. Her happiness tends to be infectious, offering her a light armor against the hardships in the world.
Poppy is a romantic deep down and wants her own sappy fairytale someday. She is very good at making her future goal of being someone's wife known, even if no one asks.

While born in a set of three, Poppy was predominantly raised by Ivy with supplemental visits to both parents peppered in between. She traveled alongside her mother while young and explored the old human house Ivy was fond of during breaks, although she always desperately wanted to get back out and wander the unknown as soon as possible. It didn't come as a surprise to anyone when she left home the moment she was old enough, hoping to find her own adventure. When her mother found a mate and had her second litter, Poppy returned home to help take care of the little ones. She would linger nearby for a time and grow to welcome Ximeno as her own parent, too.

A wanderer by nature, Nemesia isn't often in place for long. Her heart yearns to find adventure and, perhaps more importantly, thrill, leading her into dangerous situations much like her mother. Nemesia is particularly interested in the macabre and cryptic, collecting both stories of what bumps in the night and near-death experiences. Luckily for her, she's both inherited Ivy's supernatural luck and also has her own little ghostie companions, who are more than willing to warn her of impending danger.
Nemesia is a chatter-box and loves making new friends. While she is a true extrovert, Nemesia struggles to remain interested in a makogi longterm -- eventually, the thirst for travel will win over, dragging her out of the many lives she's been welcomed to and back into the fray of somewhere else. She does admit it'd be nice to have someone by her side, but Nemesia isn't sure what that'd look like for her. She's not too fussed about it, either.
Her ghosts vary in number and size, often phasing in and out of her markings as if she were a painting and they were her subjects. While others cannot hear what they say, Nemesia can, and she will gladly translate what her ghostly companions wail and moan.

Born beside Aia to Ivy and Ximeno, Nemesia was given plenty of love by her growing family. It became apparent that Nemesia also came with small spirits, which were welcomed by her family regardless of their peculiar nature. She grew closer to her half-sister, Poppy, and eagerly listened to her and Ivy's stories of what lay beyond the estate walls. This would eventually lead to her leaving home the moment she could, although she promised to visit frequently.

Nexus grew up used to being on his own, but that doesn't mean he likes it. The silence of solitude leaves a sour taste in his mouth and a ringing in his ears and frequently pushes him into action, seeking to fill the void by either lunging into activity or rattling off to the nearest fox who will let him (or at least tolerate it). Unbeknownst to him, anxiety creeps under his ribs, fretting and gnawing at his insecurity and leaving behind deep gouges of inadequacy and a need to please that Nexus has yet to notice. While he's prone to speaking his mind and eager to share his truths, Nexus is also quick to apologize and change his opinion if he feels he's even slightly upset someone. He can come off almost frantic when set off, tripping over his words and stumbling until he, hopefully, finds the perfect remedy to his offense. Being alone for so long has left Nexus desperate to connect, to the point he almost chokes on it.
Curiosity has always been his best friend, allowing him to collect hobbies, information, and even random useful trinkets throughout his years. Nexus seems just a little bit skilled at everything, especially if it's related to language or math. While he's humble about it, he also preens at any compliments given related to his ability and will happily donate his time and energy to those who benefit from it.

Separated from his sibling's mask in some unknown and untraceable way, Nexus found himself chucked haphazardly into the wild. His mask was found beside the edge of a river and was intermittently passed from human to human until, finally, finding a brief respite in the arms of a local teacher. He emerged from his mask almost immediately upon being found. He was raised by his human mother for a short time, until a quick and deadly plague took her life. Nexus tried to stay within their shared home, but the villagers who survived the disease viewed Nexus as the possible cause of their grief. He fled home as a pup and wandered on his own during the rest of his childhood. Growing up alone left a permanent scar on his psyche, but Nexus did his best to press forward. He daydreamed of a family of his own, whether in the form of future children or a long-lost sibling. It'd come as a shock when he stumbled upon a fox who looked identical to himself; Network. It was clear from the same age and markings they were, in some form, related, and Nexus delighted when Network welcomed him with open arms. Even better, his brother (or so they both had agreed to call themselves) had a child! Nexus was more than eager to stick around and help raise the little pup, get to know his brother, and also the fox Network had combined with; Nashira.

Luciean might always look irritated, but that doesn't mean... actually, well- there's some truth in it. He's a driven and creative fox who would much rather focus on developing outfits for clients or partake in the clothing scene over socialization or idle chatter. Other foxes make him uncomfortable -- he's never been good at adjusting his tone to sound friendly or smiling, and while he's not a mean fox in any way, Luciean also isn't an empathetic one. It seems like he's constantly misunderstood for being rude, or having tone, or glaring at someone, or- really, the list goes on, and Luciean's given up explaining that he struggles with facial and vocal expressions and has settled on avoiding the problem altogether. It's, evidently, easier that way.
So, he crafts, and he does a fine damn job doing it. He makes all sorts of outfits and is eager to try new styles upon request. His face and voice seem to lift when it comes to his work, making way for a bright-faced and excitable version of himself he otherwise struggles to emote. Work isn't a job to him -- it's his passion, and Luciean works himself almost to the bone in his enjoyment of textiles and craft. Irritation spreads like poison across his face when he's interrupted from his projects, so it's best to approach only once he's free from his duties.
Underneath the standoffish scowl and clipped, curt words is a fox who can feel companionship and care for others, he just hasn't had to yet.

His parents had him while traveling with his older brother, Cassius. While greatly anticipated and planned, his parents would not meet him and were instead poached by a wandering band of humans. Cassius managed to grab his mask and flee the area, but the chaos and grief of his escape made him unaware of the small mask slipping from his bag and falling into the nearby river. There, Luciean drifted, floating along for a time until found by a local priest. He was given time to emerge from his mask before the human urged Luciean to move on from the suspicious and anti-makogi village. He traveled on his own throughout his childhood and teenhood, discovering a love for textiles and cloth when staying at a seamstress' workshop during a blizzard. Noticing his interested, she trained Luciean in her craft with the agreement he'd make her meals and clean the studio, to which he readily agreed. He'd remain there until "graduation" and then sought a makogi village that might have use of his art. Cassius and Luciean bumped into one another while Luciean was seeking a new home, and while Luciean at first vehemently denied the obvious similarities in appearance, Cassius managed to convince the younger brother of their relation. ("We just have to be brothers -- look at us!") Overjoyed at finding his sibling and the opportunity to be a family again, Cassius trailed after Luciean, hellbent on earning the favor of the younger brother. Overwhelmed by the constant chatter and seeking of kinship, Luciean snuck out of the camp he shared with his brother and fled into the dead of night. He was grateful when he found a makogi town to settle within not longer after, but the guilt of abandoning the earnest Cassius began to nag at the back of his brain. Well, he didn't owe Cassius anything, so....

Libretto was always gifted with a captivating voice and an innate musical prowess that effortlessly claimed the hearts of many, despite his many faults. Born to be a singer and unabashedly proud of his talent, entitlement lurks underneath their perfectly crafted smile, always expectant to be given all they desire should they ask for it. Fame has long rewarded Libretto, offering him fine trinkets and countless indulgences from the fans who blindly trail after them. While he manages a cheerful and bright appearance in public, a sharp and meangirl-esque wickedness lurks between his jaws, displayed only with careful malice when they feel slighted. Libretto is, if anything, vain and selfish, but it's discreetly hidden to the best of his ability to ensure none is the wiser.
Having it all has certainly made a spoiled fox with an impatient temper to follow, but Libretto also holds an almost childlike glee when meeting those who have earned their living through hard physical work. Oh, they're far too dainty and frail for all that, but that's why they admire those who can even more! Libretto has been spotted aiding their weak flames to craftsfolk and creators, especially if it means they can take something pretty home in return.
Fondness from them means a friend for life, even if those they befriend won't be exempt from whines and complaints when things don't go their way. They don't take friendship lightly, seeking intimate connections and taking time to grow those relations until they even consider offering their truest feelings. Those who had become close to Libretto see underneath the facade behind closed doors and are heavily pampered by the fortunate singer, if allowed. They can be needy and affectionate to those special foxes once comfortable.

Their parents were musically inclined makogi's who briefly tangled together during a concert the two performed within. Unprepared for the mask that would arrive shortly after, Libretto was passed from paw to paw, eventually drifting from their parent's grasps and into the hands of a human their mother had once been fond of. Libretto emerged from their mask and found themselves adopted by the human. Once a famed opera singer, the human encouraged Libretto's natural musical talent. Libretto was carted from stage to stage alongside their human parent, performing during festivals and competitions throughout their youth. They'd eventually enter the Nightingale's Song competition within a small makogi town and won it as a teenager, catapulting them into fame and wonder. Their life quickly became one of luxury after. Once Libretto ensured their human mother was properly cared for and had the funds to live a happy life, they set off to spread their talent and earn more favor. They enjoyed the finer things in life as they toured and eventually settled within a bustling makogi city, where they would live a privileged life.

An unintentional smooth talker with a natural inclination towards flirtations, Abraxas finds himself equipped with a silver tongue and sultry voice, allowing him access to, well... a lot in life. Sarcastic with a layer of coyness, Abraxas navigates social situations with little effort and humor. His charismatic demeanor and magnetic personality easily draw foxes and humans in and pair well with his innate ability to read others, allowing him to understand the motives and desires of those he meets with uncanny accuracy. His ease with dealing with others has led him to comfortably manipulate situations and people should he need to, although he generally finds the idea repulsive. He much rather utilize his mastery in negotiation and persuasion, or, alternatively, laugh the entire idea off and flounce off somewhere new that might entertain him for the moment. Restless and constantly seeking something to grab his attention, Abraxas doesn't linger long around those he's connected with briefly.
Abraxas struggles to truly feel close to others. When you've always been skilled at unraveling anyone who crosses your path it can be hard to feel closeness -- do they actually like him, or do they just like how he makes them feel? He easily sheds connections and wanders off into the distance once he's decided it's time to move on, although he'll remain inviting and friendly if paths are crossed again. Abraxas can't help but feel as if he hasn't made a true friend, but he also isn't sure where he even belongs or, sometimes, who he is. He's so busy seeking somewhere that feels like home and making sure he's always liked by others that he's lost himself in it all, and he's masterfully avoided the problem by continuing to press forward. Truthfully, it's all a bit much for him if he thinks too long on it, so he much rather crack a smile and be the life of the party and not think about it.

He woke alone and sat by his mask without a soul in sight, left to wonder who had brought him into this world and why they had left him. There wasn't much time to brood, though, as life quickly forced him into action. He had to survive -- had to fight off natural danger and learn how to worm his way out of situations much too dangerous for someone so young. He clumsily traveled, learning how to adapt and adjust himself to any situation and person just to ensure his own safety and discovered his innate ability to understand and connect with others, even if only on the surface. His travels continued into his adulthood, turning into a longing to find somewhere he belonged. For a time, Abraxas had the idea to find his family, but was he so sure he even had one? That thought turned into seeking a career that might ground him, and then he tried dating, and then began studying, and then -- really, he tried it all, and nothing filled the gaping hole in his heart. So, he kept traveling; at least that was always something new.

Ouija has always marched to the beat of her own drum, shaking off the influence of others with a loud laugh and a flash of her teeth. Keen on keeping to her morals and never bending for others, Ouija dislikes anything that could be interpreted as an attempt to stifle or control her and often views unwanted advice or opinions as such. While she's exceedingly independent and individualistic, Ouija loves socializing and doesn't seem to have a shy bone in her body. She's true to herself and has no qualms expressing how she feels and finds it tiring when others aren't as direct as her, losing interest quickly in those who make her pry for understanding.
Constantly on the move and sticking herself into something, Ouija has always been the rashly curious sort, willing to both toss her weight or charm her way towards what she wants -- really, whatever works faster. Unfortunately, Ouija is also impatient and will brute force what she has to, leading to plenty of scraps and scuffles throughout her years. The excitement of a good tussle is also alluring for the adrenaline-seeking fox, especially if the opponent is larger than her, but her own strength aids her plenty in battle. She is not a weak fox and fights dirty, not caring for formalities in favor of winning through any means possible.
Ouija can see and speak to ghosts, although she doesn't parade the ability around. Instead, she favors using them to relay information about her surroundings. Most who meet her will remain unaware of her ability.

Ouija was born within a carefully guarded family line who devoted themselves to the care of a now decrepit gravesite. Every second of the day was planned for her and her siblings, leaving little room for individuality and growth outside of the confines of her routine. Ouija never knew the humans who assisted her family, nor did she take a moment to try, choosing to instead leave home in her teenage years in search of a life she could carve for herself. Growing up alone wasn't as lonely as many might think, considering her unique ability to communicate with the dead. She wandered aimlessly, enjoying the adventures life gave her along the way.
