Linnea nodded in her agreement, wandering around and sticking her hands into random piles of sand to search for the goods. She wanted to get as many as she could after all! The more the better, just like papa said. "If I get too many will you help me make a bracelet for Layn, papa? I want him to get nice things too!" Then he could match with Princess Bubbles of course.
"If we had matching things with Princess Bubbles they'd know we were all a good family. Then no one would doubt it!"

"Yup! We can definitely do that." He knew just as little about making bracelets as he did about making crowns, but he was confident they would figure it out. "I'm sure Layn would love something like that."
Kauff dropped what he had found into his pocket and continued looking, picking up a few cracked shells he had overlooked. Mostly, he watched Linnea scout around, waiting for her to declare she had enough.

After spending another few moments scooping up odd bits and ends, Linnea turned back to her papa and held out her hands. "Papa I'm done now. We got all the things we need so Layn and I can both have nice things. Sharing is caring, right?" she beamed up at him, hoping he thought she'd done a good job. "But is there anything you want too, papa? Or to make something for mama?"
Mama deserved many pretty things after all.

He laughed. "Sharing is caring. I agree. And I think I have just enough stuff here to make something for mama too." He would add a few things, but the unused shells would be a good start.
Before he could second guess himself this time, Kauff extended his arms, offering to pick Linnea up. "Would you like a ride home?"

"Yeah papa! Lift me hiiiiiigh up! I'll ride on your back and we can show mama and Layn the super cool things we found," Linnea laughed, grabbing hold of her papa's leg. She imagined what she would do and how she would put together the pretty trinkets for her brother, hoping they could match them if there was enough. "They'll be super excited I think!"
