Rex kicked out right at one. His brain was still shaken but the power of The Serpent allowed him to kick out almost right away. Ramona pounded on the apron, causing the fog in Kobra's brain to start and fade.

Salem had expected perhaps a kickout at the two count, but was as surprised as the rest of the crowd when Rex kicked out at just one! Hearing Rex rasp on about doing better, Ramona frantic to motivate Kobra, "Showtime" would wait for Rex to sit up before applying his signature Guillotine Choke the man, looking to torque his neck while standing him up! "It's the Coil! Salem made Nuke Fusion tap to this! It could be over right now!"
"I didn't think Copperheads were constrictors, J.R.!"

Rex was locked in the choke and for a moment did nothing. Didn't fight it. Didn't go limp. It seemed like he just took it. He would have laughed if he wasn't being choked.
J.R.: By God, King, why isn't the Kobra fighting back.
King: I don't know, J.R. But the way the maniac was laughing earlier, maybe he likes it.
Finally as his vision started to cloud and the sounds of Ramona's furious pounding hit his hear, he threw a fist and attempt to catch Salem in the gut. If it was successful, he would attempt to repeat the action until the hold was broken or loosened.

Salem had managed to start sinking his Guillotine in, but Rex was fighting back after briefly fading, firing off fists into Croft's stomach! The audience booed Kobra, unhappy at Salem's pain as "Showtime" coughed and lost his grip!

As the hold loosened, Rex got to his feet where he would attempt to deliver a solid punch to Salem's skull.

Salem was reeling from the stiff body shots earlier, but as Rex recovered he rocked Salem with a hard shot to the skull, sending Croft back a step, staggered! "Rex broke the hold, and now he's taking it to Salem! These snakes aren't done dueling yet!"

JR: The Defiler has apparently had enough punishment.
King: Amen, JR. I don't think their old friendship is going to save Showtime any pain here.
Rex would keep at Salem and attempt to deliver another hard punch to his skull, that smile he wore fading as the vicious predator started to emerge.

Salem was trying to compose himself, but Rex was pressing the attack, knocking him about the head with another hard punch! Snapping his head backwards, Croft stumbled back towards the ropes, trying to brace himself against them!

Rex backed up a step as Salem went to the ropes. He canted his head to the side for a moment before racing forward and attempting to nail Salem with a big boot to the skull.

The crowd was split between jeering Rex and cheering Salem, who was now backed into the ropes with an angry Kobra charging in! The big boot connected, pushing Salem through the cables and causing him to collapse to the floor outside the ring!

Rex moved back to the center of the ring and looked at his sister. She moved close to Salem and peered down at him, like a kid eyeballing a bug that they intend to squash. She looked to the crowd and pointed down at the newly battered Salem before drawing a thumb across her neck.
JR: Oh, the disrespect.
King: I agree with you, JR. But more than that, did you see that look he gave her. I didn't like that look, JR.
She would try to grab Salem by the skull and drag him up to his feet. If she was successful, she would attempt to throw him back into the ring as the dutiful servant giving her Lord a sacrifice.

Dazed on the ringside floor, Salem was stirring to try and push himself up to his feet when he sensed someone approaching! It was Ramona, Rex's twisted sister, who taunted fans of "Showtime" by mocking Croft as he was trying to recover! Not giving him time to, Ramona helped Salem up only to throw him right back into the ring, rolling under the bottom rope! "Oh, this is just dirty, King! It's despicable! How can you call this fair?! There's no referee, for God's sake!"
"Hey, you go break it up if you want, J.R.! I'm not getting anywhere NEAR those weirdos!"

As Salem was rolled into the ring, Rex marched up to him and attempted deliver a vicious and violent stomp to his torso.

A wave of boos poured onto Rex as he stomped at Salem while he was still down, causing Salem to curl defensively in pain!

Rex looked out at the crowd as they booed him. It was a sound that made the smile form on his face again.
"Bow before the might of The Serpent!" he shouted, though only those in the front row might hear him before he looked to Salem. He would attempt to pull him up and get him into a sitting position. If he was successful, he would run to the ropes and attempt to deliver a knee of his own into the back of Salem's head in a clear act of retaliation and mockery of what Salem did to him earlier in the match.
