He shuddered. "Good lords, her and wanting a mate. Most of the males ran from her." he shook his head. Then looked to the one who could handle her. "You sir, are amazing." The male seemed to shrug.

He ruffled the girls ears. “I was her favorite but alas I love you already~ Plus we are the wrong species.” The radaku grinned in contentment at the ear rubbies. “She just wanted me as a friend. She had that bad fracture as a pupplet remember?” Isaris had been out of the house so it had taken the lady some time to get used to her masters mate.

He nodded. "I remember. I was out on a long hunt during that time period." He looked to her. "You seriously wanted my head little girl." He shook his head. "Nearly had me leaving you just based on that."

“Cant say I blame you with the way she launched at your face and her only half grown at that. Id have crapped my pants. We have never been so well protected now though." He grinned. He was extremely happy with the radaku project. He was hoping that they would get some more puppies soon one way or another.

The elder male laughed as he leaned back. "You got so mad when I pinned her." he looked to her. "She learned though, didn't you missy." he felt a peace here. "So...we're done with food. Has the coffee hit you yet?" He wanted to get the chores out the way.

“I didnt see her leap and try to eat you though, I had just come out of the shower around the corner and there you two were glaring holy daggers.”
Vallen chugged the rest of his coffee there was always a good amount of cream in it otherwise he wouldnt be able to. “Yeah lets go love.”

He stood up. "Alright, go get your tool belt. I'll tend to the wood pile and straighten out the house. If you need my help, let me know." He walked into their room to grab a shirt to help with his sweat.

He whipped up the dishes really quick and got set up with his belt before following his love outside to greet the day with his game face. He had not done a contract for a while as the homestead here kept them both busy but that being said they were doing relatively well as one of the best radaku breeding operations on the continent. "I don't know what I would do without you and the critters," he said before making his way to the fence to get it to straighten its act.

The other male chuckled. "You'd go insane!!!" he called after his partner and then started to make his way to the wood pile. He started small. Making sure they had kindling for the fire, then he worked on the larger stumps.

He fixed the fence and then tightened the lines for good measure. All livestock needed good fencing but particularly toothy ones. Howevery being the handyman brought him a lot of joy not least of which because he was free to do it at his own pace and make mistakes without being micromanaged or harrassed or teased. Their partnership worked. He even helped around the house if he had energy though that was really Isaris's castle.
"Fence done!"

He looked up from the decent pile he had by the time Vallen was done with that. "Good!!! I got enough here for at least a few days." he panted softly. It was mid morning by now. "Check that aviary, so Duster and his brood aren't escaping to wreck havoc."

He frowned. He and Duster had an interesting relationship. He thought he would make a good bug soup but was too respecful to do it...though it was still tempting. He was more of a mammalian or avian friend than a bug lover. Duster had sweet girlfriends though, that made up for his rogueish behaviour. That was Vallen's niche after all. He went to the aviary and examined the hole. Then he went with his handy tool belt to find the materials he needed. "Be right back."

Isaris chuckled softly as he peeked in to make sure Duster wasn't being a jerk. However, he didn't see the bug in the aviary at the moment. There were a few of the girls there. He smiled as he nodded to the girls. Leaving Vallen safely with them as he returned to the wood pile. He blinked seeing Duster there to watch. "Oh so you're going to be a brat with me today?"

He was relieved that the bug was out, he adored the ladies who were to a t gentle and kind with their own personalities. He chattered away to them quietly while he worked to patch the hole in the aviary in a nice looking and secure way. They deserved only the best. They fluttered over to watch him work, making little churrs of encouragement. This was why he did what he did, for the love of animals and for it returned to him.

Isaris hummed as he watched the bug. "If your going to help, at least don't mess up the pile." Which he was thankful that Duster, real name Carro, actually cared enough about warmth. The aviary was connected to the warmest part of the house so that when the cold season came, Isaris could make sure the larva and girls were warm. He chopped a few stumps then looked to Duster. "If you help pile, I'll give you a new flower next spring."
That got the creature to help!
