There was little that he could do and it was upsetting Gavril. He wanted to be the big hero to save the day. But he couldn't be the hero. He was the victim this time. Gav could do little else other than cling to Hanaeko. There was something he could do couldn't he? Even with the people kidnapping him trying to stop him from speaking...he didn't need to speak to scream. He took his queue after Hanaeko shouted one of the goddesses names which he didn't understand at all and then simply started screaming. He hoped Hana would forgive him for screaming so close to her but it was all he could think of to do.

Talk about a mess. Valek followed Xylia the best he could, opting to trust the other hybrid this time. She seemed to have a good direction and all he could do was pick through the crowd behind her. Had someone just yelled Lenoxe? Why would they...Oh, haha! Smart.
"Go to the fish market!" He called out towards Xylia, passing her without warning as he sought out the kidnappers and caught sight of some rather suspicious thugs running along the edges of the crowd.

Xylia was actually surprised to hear Valek speaking up, but a small grin did cross her lips. He did pay some attention to the Oban gods after all! Would you look at that? She did follow him through towards the fish market, the smell immediately making her nose curl. What were they doing? Trying to throw off any scents in case someone had a janarim? Xylia shook her head before looking for the first thing that she could find. A nasty long fish with a sharp looking nose. A smirk crossed her face as she grabbed at the tail and twisted around so that she could fling the thing straight at one of the thugs who was trailing behind. He let out a loud curse and spun, knocking straight into a stall and crashing it.
Unfortunately though the other two didn't seem as concerned about their comrade and kept rushing forward with their prizes.

Hana heard a grunt behind her and hoped it was one of the bad guys and not someone trying to help. If only there was some way for her to do more. "Wrap your legs around me too Gavril!" She said suddenly and as soon as the boy did, she started pulling her legs up to almost be in a fetal position and then suddenly kicked her legs out to try and unbalance the people carrying her. She continued looking around to have more information to shout out. "JATINE!!" If she was correct with where they were out, this road should take them out of the city and towards the city of Jatine.

He did as she asked and felt her start to kick around so he clung tighter to her. He didn't quite understand what was going on but he knew he needed to stay with her. While Gav was still young, he wasn't a big idiot, he knew it wasn't really him that they would want. Hana was the real target here. With that in mind, he could probably let go of her and slip away if they ever let go of his foot. But, he couldn't leave her right? With his mouth continuing to dry out, he hoped his shouts had helped and he began to quiet down now. "Are we going to be okay?" He asked quietly.

"Good throw." Still, as Valek heard the word Jatine he reached out to tug Xylia backwards. "Let's take care of this guy first." He advised gesturing to the one who was tangled up in the stall. If they turned him in then that was one less thug down.
"I know you're fond of getting things done quickly, but I have an idea of where they're headed." He tugged Xylia after him, stepping on the thug who had been whacked by the fish and keeping him there for a moment. "Let's talk buddy." Shadows wrapped around him with the words, the area seemingly growing darker as Valek did his thing.
They would head out towards Jatine in a few moments, the guard finding a man tied up with a piece of parchment tied to his wrists. Requesting prison time. I'm a bad man, thanks. Was written in script, the guards baffled but more than willing to capture a thug who had started this whole kidnapping plot.

" I swear, Valek!" Hissed Xylia even as she once more went along with his plan. It was like On'os had cursed her to always run into this scoundrel and somehow his damned plans always worked out, as frustrating as that was. Did they always go smoothly? Never. Did the chaos somehow always work out in Valek's favor? Somehow. " We have to get going. I don't want to lose any innocents today." She had already wasted enough time tying up the thug while Valek wrote that silly note to stick on him. " So towards Jatine then? I'm assuming you know some underground passage that can lead us to the rest." He had already spoken to the thug before knocking him out, a heated exchange and some yells of pain barely registered by Xylia while she kept watch. [Xylia 6]

They understood her warnings and hints about the direction they were going, and the bad people were not happy. They held her tighter and then she smelled something strange and before she knew it, she couldn't' remember anything.

Hana woke up to somewhere dark and damp. Her wrists were tied together but thankfully her feet weren't. Her voice was hoarse, she had no idea what time it was. "Gavril." She said quietly, her voice raspy and dry.

Gavril had woken up before Hanaeko had but there were some bars separating their cells so he couldn't get to her. He could only sit and stay quiet, hoping she would wake up soon. When she finally did, he sighed in relief. "I'm here, Miss H." He stuck his hands through the bars as far as he could. "They have us in separate cells, I can't get to you though. Do you know where we are?" He asked sadly.

It was already early evening when Valek and Xylia arrived at the entrance of the tunnels. The old ruins were hidden mostly in the desert, just an hour away from the main road used by merchants and the like coming in and out of Sulburi. If someone kept going in this direction they would eventually reach Jatine, but for now it was just quiet wilderness. Well, as quiet as it could be with Valek knocking another thug in the head with the back of his sword. It would be a shame to rescue some people with blood staining his clothing already, so he opted to do the safe route and let Xylia tie up the two men that they had already beaten up for the keys.
"More will be coming soon, we should get to the prisoners quickly." He advised. They also had a good long hike back to the city, hopefully no one else would be waiting on the road if they left here cleanly enough without someone running away to warn others.

"It truly worries me how you know about all these suspicious locations." Mused Xylia quietly as she stared down the tunnel, her rope tying job once more finished as the men groaned from their makeshift prison beneath a cluster of large rocks that had blocked the tunnel from view in the first place. Stairs leading down into a cave system below greeted them and Xylia was none too thrilled with it. Already she had nearly drowned because of Valek and now he wanted her to go into a dark place far underground?
Still, she was doing it to help others. A soft sigh left Xylia's lips as she took a torch and started down. "Hello?" She called out after a few minutes, the tunnels expanding into what looked like cells. This definitely had been used before and during the Oban war, if not potentially after as well. The very thought made her wince, the hybrid still a bit ashamed of the Oban past treatment of the Matori.

Hana's eyes had finally adjusted to where she could see Gavril and relief flowed through her that he was at least alive and with her. At least now she knew that this wasn't a prank. If it was on, it was a super elaborate one. She was about to answer when she thought she heard some noise coming from a ways away. It sounded like...fighting? Did Marv finally find her? Yet, there was no way of knowing for sure who it was. "Stay quiet...something is going on up there..." She scooted as quietly as she could over to Gavril. "Hide behind me if someone comes down that ramp." If anything happened, she wanted to go out knowing she did what she could to protect him. It wasn't too much longer that she thought she heard a soft hello. Not knowing who it was made her hesitate to answer.

Gavril 7 Gavril nodded to Hana even though it was tough for her to see it. Slowly he moved himself towards the back of the cell where he would be able to huddle against the bars and hide behind Hanaeko. He tried to do what she asked, but it was so hard to stay quiet when he had so many questions. His lips were pursed and he rocked back and forth slightly to contain his energy but also causing little tap tap tap sounds as he did so. His ears perked up when he heard a soft hello coming from somewhere far away. Gavril's hopes flared. "Hello?!" He called out hopefully. He heard Hana sigh softly in disappointment at him.

"They probably won't answer someone as scary as you." Teased Valek as he continued down the tunnels with Xylia. The old stone passage was cold and somehow damp the further they want, Valek feeling a chill as a breeze swept in from the opening above. He just hoped that door behind them didn't slam at any particular point in time...the very thought unnerved him.
As they continued along, he listened to see if he heard any movement besides the scurrying of proscuta. "Hey, promise we're here to help. Don't you want out?" He called out quietly with a whistle. "The thugs are sleeping, we don't have long."

"Ah, yes. That's so much better." Quipped Xylia with a sigh, her annoyance at Valek once again on the rise. "We just need help finding you. There's a series of areas splitting off from this tunnel." She called out, hoping her voice didn't disturb anyone else down here. What if there were more thugs? This was so reckless!
