"Well then it just seems like that's how things work with your family." Mused Ezili with a frown, her focus on figuring out this situation rather than on another prank for the moment. "Though I don't know about moving firewood. Unless it's like some indirect way to train you." Ezili made a face at the thought and shook her head. It just seemed silly to her as well! Even the exercises that she did with her siblings for some early training made more sense than moving firewood around every day! Just store it in a dry shed or something...sheesh.

Maybe she did have a bit of that stubborn streak in her as well. Ezili took a step forward and positioned her shoulder in front of his chest. "I really do know how to pick up someone the same size." She promised, her teal gaze blazing. It was silly to be stuck on it, but at the same time she did so despise someone telling her no. "I do more than just chores, I've done some serious training as well." Even if it wasn't to be a bandit! Rangers still went through some really tough training, though she admittedly didn't really do that much...just a few basic things that her older sister showed her.

"It might just be an offer." Replied Ezili, her gaze determined as she got swept up in the moment. "Even if you aren't the best at dusting, I could carry you off now if you want me to try." It wasn't as if she were a real bandit, but she did enjoy a challenge. Plus, maybe he could be introduced to the rangers one day though...they did do a lot of work and less daydreaming, so maybe not?

An indirect way to train him? Oserys gave that some thought. His family hadn't ever mentioned anything of the sort. There was no family legacy of being a swordsman or anything. Far as he knew they were all farmers. One or two might have gone off to be a merchant but that didn't require training. "I'm not sure for what.. My family has been farmers for the past few generations." Unless they wanted him to be strong enough to pick up an animal? He didn't know how firewood would fit into that equation.

When she stepped up into position he leaned back slight but didn't seem to really move away. "Uh.." What did one say to that? Oserys brought his hands up in the sign of surrender but he still smiled at her. "I just didn't want you to get hurt because of me."

A laugh escaped him when Ezili said it might be an offer of kidnapping. "Where would you take me? And I'm not sure your family would like that. I'm kinda useless ya know." Though the idea of being kidnapped by the girl in front of him was amusing. She was fun. And if she went with him on the adventure where the leaf gave directions it could be fun.

Ezili pursed her lips, studying Oserys intently. "You sure they're not bandits? Sounds like some of their mischief." She teased, trying to figure out why anyone would want to move things like firewood daily for no reason. Definitely strange for farmers unless they really just wanted something for their son to do. Maybe he was secretly a troublemaker and just pulling her strings this whole time. Moving firewood could just be punishment, if anything. The very thought had Ezili narrowing her gaze as she studied him some more. Could he be messing with her, right now?

"If I get hurt then you can just say told ya so." Replied Ezili without hesitation. Since he had put his hands up, the girl moved so that she could place a foot in between his legs and took his left arm so that she could tug him over her shoulders. "Once I pick you up, I could carry you into the woods where I live." She managed, pausing as she squatted down to gather her strength in her legs as she had been taught. "Surely you have some sort of skill already or something new you can pick up, no?" He couldn't think he was completely useless, right?

And speaking of picking up...Ezili clenched her jaw as she pushed off from the ground, carrying Oserys in a fireman's fashion, and after taking a few steps towards the forest as if seriously trying to drag him off into it the girl finally stopped and lowered so that he could slip down from her shoulders. She was quiet a moment, catching her breath with flushed cheeks, but her gaze was bright when she finally looked back at him. "See? I know a few things and really could steal you away." If she wanted, right? Not that she would but at least she proved she could take a few steps with him! Could she go through the full forest all the way to the hidden village? Ezili wasn't certain, but hopefully she wouldn't have to try that much to prove herself...right?

Again with the bandit comment. Oserys was fairly certain. His family didn't do anything that was that off. Most of what they did, now that he sat and thought about it, was true farmer things. Plowing fields, tending to animals and crops, harvesting. Every once in a while his mother would go to the market and come back with supplies to make bread and things. "Yeah, they don't do anything exciting."

Saying 'I told you so' wasn't as satisfying as one might think when someone got hurt. He was about to voice as much when Ezili moved into position. At first he was very confused by the closeness but when he finally figured out what she was doing it was too late. "O-oh. Wait. I might be too heavy!" He verbally protested but bodily he was still so he didn't cause unintentional harm.

When Ezili had him in the fireman's carry he made a strangled noise. It wasn't exactly comfortable on his abdomen. So he put his free hand on her lower back close to her bottom to push up with. It alleviated some of the pressure. "W-well... I can make crappy arrows." He stared at the ground as it passed by slowly when she started to move toward the forest. "I'm working on getting better." It was more of a hobby than anything though.

Once he was put down he let out a breath of relief. "Alright, fair enough. You really can steal me away." Oserys rubbed his stomach with the flat of his hand. "Though I think next time if you just ask I'll walk on my own." He gave a small chuckle.

"Fine, I suppose they are just farmers then. I'll stop teasin' ya about it." Replied Ezili with a nod, still catching her breath from the sudden strain. Not that she had hurt herself, but it definitely was not easy lifting another person that was her size if not slightly bigger! "An arrow maker?" She blinked in surprise, actual interest lighting up her gaze. "That's actually cool. You could always learn to shoot a bow to send off those arrows...would make you like a ranger though." Ezili admitted, carefully considering her options now that she was dancing so close to something that actually connected with her. Eh, why not? Posing as a bandit didn't do her any good in this moment, she had already proven that she had the gumption to carry him as well. That was what truly mattered for some reason to the stubborn girl. "Hmm. Say I'm not a bandit, but I admit to being from a group of rangers who guard this forest and help out merchants. An arrow maker would be useful to them, but it's not like I can just bring in strangers either." She admitted with a shrug. "You're lucky that we have regulations unlike bandits or I really could steal you away."

She did grin at the chuckle, her own amusement obvious at his statement. "I would prefer that, myself. I guess I'll just ask then." Ezili admitted as she stretched out her arms, rolling her shoulders to loosen them after doing such a bold and reckless thing. Her lower back and shoulders still felt warm from the contact, but she didn't linger on that too much. Especially not when she thought about the whole arrow making statement. Out of all things! Talk about a fun twist. "But I suppose I should get going now before a patrol actually does come looking for me. My own family will be wary since it's getting late." Ezili made a face and glanced over Oserys once more as she hesitated before simply leaving him to walk home. "If you did ever want to consider being a ranger though, they do take recruits. I also may sneak out this way again in the future if you just wanted to see where a leaf will take us too, it sounds too much fun to not try it out."
