"Ah.." Athene’s lips quirked up in a wry smile "Touch wood is a British saying" he said quietly."I think over here in the States they use ‘knock on wood’ instead - it essentially means that I don’t want to jinx myself given what I said earlier about the flowers seeming harmless so far."

He nodded when Selinur mentioned that if he tried to replicate foods from his homeworld then it was something that would take time.

"I get that" he said quietly, he hesitated before adding "And if it helps I can always try to run things by my cousin as she likes to cook" he laughed, although the laughter wasn’t malicious as he added "She likes to experiment with her cooking and watches a lot of cooking shows for ideas so mayhaps she might know of some that may be good to watch for tips."

Athene hesitated before adding quietly "By the way, if you ever want to get away from the pollen here then perhaps I could take you up to Athene at some point."

Because whilst Athene didn’t visit his homeworld as often as Ida (or as it seemed his cousin), he’d been trying to go a little more often since coming across the building that had felt so welcoming last year.

He paused again before admitting "I mean it’s still warm there," because his senshi outfit was likely clue enough that his homeworld was not a cold one "But there’s not much in the way of vegetation."

"I’m not sure if I’d say that Athene is cooler than here" Athene admitted, "At least not during the day - but it does get cooler in the evenings and at night."

And the lack of vegetation (well at least of much vegetation) meant that pollen wasn’t something that was an issue.

"I’ll let you know when I’m planning to go next" mayhaps after the star festival or maybe just around the end of festival - Athene hadn’t quite decided, although he was thinking of around then.

It was something to think about on another night however he figured as he pushed the thought to the back of his mind, along with the way that he seemed to suddenly be able to pick up on youma auras as Arian.

For now Athene would try his best to make the most of the (so far) uneventful patrol with Selinur and hopefully the city and the weirdness that went along with it would catch the two of them a break and it would stay that way.
