"I think that them being close-minded is a bit ridiculous and that being cared for by an Aishan is perfectly fine, though I suppose I may be a minority in thinking that. Either way, you are obviously incredibly sweet and care greatly for your charge so I think you would do just as well helping others," Xariy nodded, frowning as Alizeh explained the situation to her. "Definitely sounds like abuse. Which I feel very bad for the girl. Maybe paints would be good. Or a journal of some kind. In order to express herself better without having to speak much?" she suggested.

She nodded her head. "The poor girl clung to my Mata.. which is a feat in itself since she's not exactly the most friendly when it comes to earthlings." So Elaxi must have felt safer with Pruu than with whatever family she had been with at the time. The memory made her chuckle. "Mata wouldn't have hurt her though. She was so tiny." She moved her hands up in front of her to gesture to a small size as she said that. "Oh, a journal may be good." Perhaps Elaxi would like to write things rather than speak. Or maybe she just wanted to put thoughts to paper. "It might help her to write things out. She's been frustrated about not being able to remember things from before."

"Poor thing. That sounds so tough. I'm glad you and your...Mata....were able to assist," Xariy smiled, grabbing a hefty looking journal and passing it over to her. "Being able to write it out might work well then. Even if it's just scribbling on the page to get frustrations out. And maybe she can better explain what happened to her after a while." That was always the hope when Xariy was helping her own children, but it was a precarious situation of not pushing one of them too far. "You have a hard task."

She took the journal and opened it up to see the quality of the pages inside. Not that Alizeh really knew much about journals and how good they were. The most writing she'd ever done had been in the dirt as a youngling. Otherwise she had a weapon in her hand during training. She looked up at Xariy as she said she had a hard task, a small smile forming. "Yeah but.. she makes it easy." Closing the journal she tucked it under one arm. "I think I'll get her this. It looks nice and she may be able to work things out in it, even if she doesn't show anyone."

Xariy nodded and grabbed some paints for her own kids, wandering over to the shopkeep and placing the items on the counter. "I'll pay for this, as well as the journal," Xariy stated, leaving no room for argument as she handed over the required funds for the items they'd gathered. She was glad to help out, and if Alizeh's kid would find it useful then it was an even better investment. She turned towards her then, smiling as she looked at her. "You've gotten something for her then! I suppose with that in mind were you planning on heading back to give it to her?"

She opened her mouth to protest about payment but Xariy really didn't leave much room for her to do so. Which left Alizeh to shut her mouth and smile at the woman instead. "Thank you, you didn't have to do that." It was still appreciated either way. She'd be sure to let Elaxi know that a kind woman had gotten it for her. When asked if she was going to return to give the journal to the girl right away she took a second to think about it before shaking her head. "I'd like to look at the other shops as well. Might find something that catches my eye." After all, she wasn't sure if she'd ever get the chance to travel through the area again.

Xariy nodded and made sure all of their items were secure, before motioning out to the markets once more. "That's perfectly fine with me. Looking for anything specific, or are you just wanting to wander until something does catch your eye? I'm fine for whatever you decide."She did wonder how long Alizeh would be staying in the area, and if she and her...mata? That was the word she'd used. She assumed it meant uh loved one. Yeah. Maybe. Either way, if the two of them would be interested in visiting her place before they went off. It was worth the suggestion, and she'd have to bring it up before separating.

She gave a small shake of her head. "Nothing specific on my mind. Now that I have a gift for Elaxi its just wandering about that's left." Alizeh chuckled a little. Since she still had time to waste she wanted to do so. After all, she was determined to enjoy her time in the different cities even if they were there for a serious reason. "Any recommendations?" Was there a specific site to see? Maybe a shop that had to be gone into for a full experience? Ali wasn't sure since she wasn't from the area.

"Well there's always some good places to eat around here. Some spicy food, or just little food carts in general. Also there's a really big carnival type area with lots of entertainment. If you're interested in that?" Xariy had lived there so long she sometimes forgot what was fun and interesting and what wasn't. She thought in markets thanks to her parents' influence, but she did think the carnival was interesting every now and then. "It has food. And music. Maybe some dancing."

She thought about it. Food would be nice. Entertainment might be better. Besides, it would give her a look into the culture of the area. She knew it was very different from her own home but she wanted to see it first hand. Then she could tell her sister about it. Perhaps even drag her down to see it. "I think I'd like to see the carnival area. It sounds like fun." And the dancing would be something good too. She may be able to unwind a bit. Nothing too crazy but what was the point of seeing and hearing if one didn't participate even just a little? "I hope it's not a complicated dance. I'm horrible with simple ones." The Elaria laughed at her own lack of rhythm. "Do you dance?"

"Yeah it's an interesting little bit of entertainment when it's around. I don't mind it so much, but having grown up in the area the novelty sort of wore off. The kids like it though, and honestly since you haven't experienced it before I think you'll like it a lot," Xariy explained, motioning Alizeh to follow her as she began the trek to the outskirts of town. "I can dance. I don't really. Don't really have a reason to," she shrugged.

She followed the woman yet again. Her eyes taking in the shops as she passed, some of them a repeat of her trip to the store where she'd gotten the journal, others new. When she heard Xariy say she could dance but that she didn't because there was no reason to she chuckled. "Well now there's a reason. I would hate to make a fool of myself all alone." Ali's shoulders lifted casually in a shrug before going back down. "I don't get many chances to dance so I'm horrible at it."

Xariy laughed and considered it a moment. She supposed she couldn't get another chance to dance with such an interesting new friend. It wouldn't hurt anything, really. "Yeah, we can dance then. I wouldn't mind it. It'll be fun to fumble around together. And you can only make a fool of yourself if you get embarrassed by it, and obviously we wont since we'll be having a good time," she replied.
