Painite stepped closer, watching Ida skeptically. She knew the other was chronically incapable of lying, especially when it came to something as important to the white moon as purifying seemed to be. Camelot took it incredibly seriously, as well, which had always been a comfort. He never rushed her but, in the end, her decision was helped along by someone else. She nodded her head, though her chest was tight.
It was a big deal for her, too, of course. Now, all at once, it felt too real. Change was looming over her, and she was walking toward it as if it weren't symbolized by a giant monster in her mind. If she got swallowed whole by this choice, in the end, it was still more than she truly deserved. At least now she was taking the chance.
Come what may.
"I'll have him message you. No need to waste your time waiting around for me," Painite said, though she blushed softly when she said it, with a scoff. She was most certainly not worth that much effort, by any estimation. "But... thanks. For bringing me here, and. You know. For what's coming. I... know I have a lot to make up for. And trying to murder someone isn't exactly an easy apology. But I'm going to make some kind of effort, anyway."

Ida held Painite's hand gently, and marveled at that simple gesture. That after all this time, she could do that, even wanted to do that. So much had changed in... what, ten years? She was a different person than the naive and scared little girl she had been back then. Painite, obviously, wasn't that same person either. Ida didn't know what she had gone through to bring her to this point. Something huge and life changing, or just the weight of years passing, she didn't know. It wouldn't have changed how she felt, though, even if she had known. Nothing could have changed in Painite, and she'd still have chased after this fragile possibility.
"I might do it anyway, just in case." She said with a small smile, warming herself at Painite's blush. Some people weren't used to being cared for, but that was okay. Hopefully, she'd learn to accept it. "And you're welcome. I think... what you are doing will be apology enough, once alls said and done."
"Alright. Do you want me to take you back, or would you like a little tour? We don't have to rush either way... if you want to just sit and watch the butterflies for a little bit, that's okay too." She said, gently patting the hand she held.

Whimsical Blue FIN for me! They can have a nice time on their own hahaha. "I hope you're right about that," Painite said, thinking about how many apologies she still owed. Purifying would not wipe the slate clean, but at least it was a step in the right direction. A step toward being able to make some sort of a dent in the karmic debt she owed.
It was still going to be a long road, but, for some reason, it was a hardship she was almost looking forward to. A trial she finally felt ready to face. Not only that, but to triumph over, in whatever way that ultimately meant.
She glanced around, feeling more comfortable in this beautiful place now that she had time to vent her frustrations and wrap her head around her choice. She was not feeling that lingering anxiety, anyway, and her shoulders felt a bit lighter. Metaphorically, though it was a wonder that it made her physically feel better, too. She shrugged, then nodded toward the trees.
"Show me around. We'll get back eventually."
