He felt himself shoved away and he backed up and sat down in the corner as he tried to get his wits about him. There was something off, majorly off with this guy. Not only did he seem to not feel pain, he seems to relish it.
He eyed him cautiously as he tried to think of another gameplan.

Rex looked from Erynys to his sister. The locked eyes and stared at each other for a moment as Rex pointed a finger in the direction of his opponent. Looking back to Erynys, Rex would move to the center of the ring and gesture for Erynys to meet him.

He kept his eyes locked on his opponent yet every so often, he would steal a glance at the strange woman at ringside. It was clear there was some communication between them and he knew he would need to keep his head on a swivel.
He cautiously moved from the corner and back to the center of the ring.

Rex would attempt to go for a lockup once again. This time, however, if it was accepted, he would attempt to Irish Whip his opponent into the ropes and try to catch him with a pop up powerbomb.

He felt himself whipped into the ropes and then lifted up for what was sure to be the death blow for him. He did his best to use the upward momentum and counter with a missile dropkick.

Re threw. Rex lifted. Then Rex was hit with the missile dropkick. There would have been more laughter had the wind not been forced out of him. He hit the mat and rolled onto his gut. He lay for a second as Ramona started to pound her fists on the apron in his corner, trying to get him back on his feet through sheer will.

He sprang to his feet as he rolled through the move and he would look to quickly pounce with a series of stomps to the back and if they were successful, he would look to transition to a Kirifuda Clutch.

Stomp. Grunt. Rex tried to push himself up. Stomp. Groan. Try. Stomp. Laugh. He fell back to the mat and then Erynys was trying to lock in a submission. Another choke. No. Not this time. Rex grabbed at Eryny's arm and tried to simply overpower him to prevent the hold and force him to change tactics.
"Only the chosen can constrict me, my python," Rex grunted.
In Rex's corner, Ramona was pounding violently on the apron.

He glowered as his attempt at the submission was blocked and he looked to first vent some of his frustrations with some hammer and anvil elbow shots and if those landed, he would change tactics and look to lock in a bulldog choke.

Rex was hammered on and then locked in the bulldog choke. With the arms tight around his neck, he tried to think. He grabbed at the arm around his throat and tried to pull it far enough away to try and pull his head through.
No good. He could only think of one option. He moved his legs forward a bit and tried to grab Erynys around the side and roll to the back so that he was placing the aggressor's shoulders on the mat. If he couldn't break the move himself, he might as well try for a pinfall.

He had kept the hold cinched in as he did his best to weaken his opponent when Rex somehow managed to roll him onto his back in a surprise pinning combination.
1...
2...
Just before the ref's hand came down, he reluctantly released the hold and shot his shoulder up to avoid getting pinned.

Rex coughed and chuckled as the hold was broken. He kept his eyes on Erynys as he slowly started to get back to his feet.

While he wasn't happy about having to break the hold prematurely, it wasn't without some effect. He backed up into the corner before he launched himself forward, looking to strike with a Claymore kick.

Rex had barely got to his feet when he saw Erynys launch out of the corner. On instinct, Rex turned his body out of the way of it so that Erynys would land on his back. As the other man hit the mat, Rex would try to immediately drop an elbow down on his chest.

It had been a gamble and one that ultimately would not pay off as Rex sidestepped the attack and he landed hard on the mat, knocking the air out of himself. Whatever air was left was fully driven by the elbow drop to the chest from Rex.
