"What are we goint to do today Mom?" She asked then paused, "Oh my nightmare was about Dad's office being messy and I got locked in." That was suitably horrifying right? She certainly thought so. A mess that wouldn't clean.
Gods forbid it ever happen. Iorhel felt stressed just remembering it.

She coughed using it as an excuse to cover her mouth. Her daughter would have cleaning dreams that was so very funny. Variel would dream of warriors capturing her and tying her up, Ior dreamt of messy papers and not being able to escape said mess. She kept her snort in though.
"That would be very disturbing."

"Sip more water Mom, don't want you turning into a raisin do we?" Besides the cough she had made sounded nasty, she must have swallowed some dust while at practice. It was that practice that kept them all safe, though each parent could defend themselves, Var protected them all with her body.
Thus she was able to pursue her hobbies fearlessly. It was a good place to grow up this ranch. Much better than a stuffy city.

Variel did indeed drink more water. Thankfully the girls didn't yet posess all of their father's skill at sussing out secrets yet. Her amusement was safe behind her eyes but she had not been able to help the cough. They were so young still, but it seemed like every day they put on a few inches in height. There were many lessons that had yet to be taught.
"Would you like to go for a ride?"

"Yay!" She loved riding and doing things where an animal did the walking so she could write and catch up on her stories. She liked to make up stories about people who didn't exist anywhere but in her mind. She loved riding as much as her mother did just without the violence sticks that were ever present around her Mom, she nearly bristled with weapons some days.
She climbed the fence and leaned back and forth, letting her hands catch her before she fell.
"I'm excited! I'll go see if Tia wants to come!" She scarpered off.
