He would sleep down in the sitting room? Harika's gaze widened slightly, her own disappointment surprising her even as she swept a glance across the scattered furniture covered in cozy blankets and cushions. She would have loved just having a small corner of that room a few months ago when looking for a place to stay! Not that Harika would admit to sleeping in worse, that much she worried would get her into trouble especially if Aurick ever found out that she hadn't been staying in a set room until recently. Even that place was small with barely any stretching room, something that she desperately missed and knew that she would enjoy here at the farm. The pat brought her attention back to Ocie and the situation at hand, Harika's cheeks still warm at the very thought of sharing a room. "I mean...if you're not uncomfortable then I suppose it should be alright. There's two bed and Ocie already arranged everything for us." Harika managed sheepishly, her gaze slowly peeking towards Aurick. "I promise I'm a quiet sleeper and nothing should bother me after the day we've had." She joked lightly with a nod despite her own nervousness.
"So about that room. I guess we may as well drop our belongings off, right?" She didn't want to give him a chance to change his mind nor could she stay still a moment longer with how her body was vibrating with nerves! Harika shifted her belongings on an arm and started taking the stairs as swiftly as she could while following Ocie.

“It’s the last down the hall on the right.” As Ocie walked she showed where her room was, in case she was needed in the night, which cousin slept where and where Aurick’s own siblings would be staying. There were more folks who would no doubt be coming throughout the week (more cousins, Aunts, Uncles, etc.) but they were all happy camping by the lake. “And this is your room.” She opened the door to show a small, but comfortable room. Since it was located at the back corner of the house there were two windows, one pointing West and one South, as well as two plush beds. A small dresser separated the two with a candle atop it and a larger wardrobe took up space near the far wall.
“Which bed do you want?” Aurick didn’t mind either one, but he knew the one next to the windows would likely be brightest in the morning whereas the one closest to the door would be loudest. Where they always this short? The more he inspected them the more he was starting to think that either he’d grown a lot since last coming here or his Aunt was purposefully trying to mess with him.
It was most likely the former, but honestly, he wouldn’t put it past Ocie.

Well the room looked cozy. Harika’s mind was still spinning from all the information about who would be where and such, along with the whole realization that she truly was going to be sharing a room with Aurick, and the new question had her blinking. "Hmm." Harika finally managed with a sheepish smile towards Aurick. "Would the window be okay?" It would be nice to have some fresh country air for once and she could also climb out if she got too flustered. It was more of a playful thought but glancing back towards Aurick and this tiny room made her insides flutter.
"Not that it matters. We'll probably be out and about most of the time, just coming in here to pass out at night." She added with a small smile, not knowing whether she was trying to reassure herself or both of them.

"Yeah, sounds good to me." He smiled and lugged his bag up to sit it ontop of his bed. "Besides, sometimes the kids can get rowdy and it'll be the quieter spot. I can sleep through a storm so it won't bother me." Although, knowing he was going to be sharing a room with Harika had him doubting if he'd sleep at all because of anxiety.
“Wanna drop off your things and take a walk with me? I can show you the layout and how to get to the lake.” Plus it would give them some time away form the family to breathe and process it all.

Harika nodded. "Sure." A walk around the lake...out in the open and not in the small room that she would be sharing with Aurick sounded nice. Plenty of freedom to stretch and to not think about sleeping in the same space where they could literally reach out and touch each other..oh no. She truly had to focus on something else or her face would melt off! "A walk is nice. Maybe we can swim later once we're settled." She managed quickly, the hybrid forgetting about her decision to swap clothing as she left her belongings on the bed and started towards the doorway. Some fresh air and a beautiful view to get her mind settled and away from whatever thoughts were trying to enter her mind in this current situation.
