Not everything could go without being noticed. Unfortunately for Kaimana one of the crew members was close enough that he raced towards the knocked over crates, the Oban letting out a loud curse as he noticed the mess and the loose animals. Hmm. Kaimana had only one second to enjoy the mess as a strange witu like creature emerged from its crate to send the Quristine into even more of a frenzy, the rearing creature acting like a sign as Kaimana backed up into the now empty crate that had survived the ruckus. Thankfully the smuggler was more focused on the rearing Quristine while the snaptrotter slipped over the railings with a loud splash into the ocean below and Kaimana found himself timing the swinging door of the crate to perfectly smack into the back of the smuggler's skull. "Whoops. Should have let me know you were there, buddy!" He commented with a mocking gasp before smacking the end of his trident against the smuggler's head just to make certain he was fully knocked out.
Even the folmar didn't seem to want to deal with the Quristine, the creature growling as it stalked away from the rampaging creature to lash out at whatever crew came into its path to try and stop it. While the growls and yells started to increase from the other side of the ship, Kaimana decided it was best to bolt towards the captain's quarters before anyone else got too suspicious about the collapsed smuggler or the rampaging beasts and had the chance to actually search the ship.

“Gotta move, gotta move, gotta move!” The next roar came with a deep rumbling from under the ship and if their antics weren’t enough to catch the crews attention that definitely would! Mina leapt over an upturned crate and squealed when the quirstine abruptly ran past her. For the moment it didn’t seem focused on going anywhere so much as it was giving the ship an absolute beatdown which was fine so long as she wasn’t involved!
Even as she moved Mina was holding her hand up in preparation for a lock on the Captain’s quarters. She was saying the spell in a huff as she moved, trying her best to be as ‘stealthy’ as Hapuna could be but when she reached for it….”It’s still locked!” She hissed and gave it another tug. “Can you break it? Like you did with the cage?”

"Let me try." Kaimana had been hoping that the hapuna's trickery would work in their favor again, but since it didn't well...they would have to resort to force. Kaimana let out a grunt as he slammed his trident into the lock, the Matori using as much force as possible to make the metal scream as the lock shattered. His shoulder would surely pay for it in the morning as he slammed it into the wooden frame, but they simply didn't have time to waste. It was better to have a bad bruise or sprain than a completely busted up body if they were caught by a whole crew of smugglers.
As the door creaked open, Kaimana went through to scope out the thankfully empty room. The desk though looked like whoever had been there at the time left in a hurry, potentially to go check out the commotion below deck as well, and there were scattered ledgers as if they were in the process of doing math and inventory. "Looks useful to me." Managed Kaimana with a shaky breath, his body obviously worn from the effort it took to break into the room.

With little time to waste, Mina hurried into the room and quickly rifled through the ledgers. When she had enough key evidence the Hapuna folded the pages and slipped them into a pouch on her side. “This is good; it talks about their next shipments and a witu-?” Mina reached out to grasp the edge of the desk as the ship gave a sudden jerk. She turned her wide eyes toward Kai when the commotion turned to screaming. Seeing the way he was breathing, Mina paused long enough to dig back into her satchel, pull out a small red vial and hand it to him. “It’s good for stamina, but not healing so you’ll still bruise tomorrow. You ready to bail?”

Rubbing his shoulder, Kaimana nodded after watching Mina gather everything. The screams and the shaking of the ship had him on high alert and he was more than ready to bail. "I think that's definitely our cue." Kaimana agreed with a chuckle, taking the red vial for now and swallowing it without hesitation. Hopefully she wouldn't poison him after all this! Thankfully it did give him the boost he needed and Kaimana quickly helped gather a few more things before leading the way out of the cabin and back onto the docks before anyone noticed them while others, what looked like local authorities, ran towards the commotion of something large nearly knocking the ship over as it burst free from below and dove into the water with a splash that sent water flying all over the docks. Whatever it was, Kaimana was thankful it was free and that he also was not in its path as it went back into the ocean where it belonged.
