Yokka looked up and couldn't help but to laugh. "Neither. They're both equally terrifying." She was grateful to have some experience with a family. She was the second youngest of her siblings, but she'd seen and experienced enough that she was fairly confident that she would survive those coming years. Probably. "Thankfully, that won't be for a long time yet." She certainly didn't want to rush their childhoods!
"Love at first sight. I can remember how I felt looking out over the ocean. It's so clear in my heart as it was that day." She shifted to peek out through the porthole as well. "Some find the horizon scary.. but I always saw freedom. Endless possibilities." She giggled at the kiss and settled back into the couch. "I didn't even need the tales of the sailors first."
She reached out at the reminder and plucked up one of the smaller pastries to test out. Some days she could barely eat a bit, and others she felt like she could empty the ship larder!
Mention of washing the boys ashore got a wince from her. She had once had her own overboard adventure, and it could have ended up a lot worse off than it had. "I'm sure it'll come up eventually... especially with two of them running around." One would have been risky enough, but two? They were sure to egg each other on to push the boundaries of what was safe!

A soft smile crossed Emiyn's lips at Yokka's amused reaction. "Fair enough, I'd prefer to not rush their childhood." He agreed even though it was hard for the summoner to not think about the future now that he had one to look forward towards even with the chance for destruction from their boys. His life was in a much happier place than it had been a few years back and Emiyn was forever grateful for the strange twists of fate that got him to this point. He was even feeling brave enough to consider taking on a third son if things came to that! The very thought brought a chuckle before he glanced back to Yokka. "Endless possibilities and freedom, I like that." He agreed with a bright smile. "My favorite memories growing up were the summer storms and how wild the ocean looked. Of course it's a bit more dangerous being on the ocean during one but back then all I could think was how I wanted to be as fierce and free as the ocean then." A strange thought for one as soft spoken and delicate looking as Emiyn but he had proved himself a bit sturdier than believed with an inner strength that surprised most.
The wince did not go unnoticed and Emiyn carefully shifted back into place next to Yokka, his body pressed against her comfortingly. "They'll be fine, especially with having such strong and amazing parents." He offered with a smile before teasing. "Though maybe if I had a choice we should consider a daughter if there's a third child in our future." Not like that would guarantee a gentle child but Emiyn liked to hope.

Yokka's smile warmed again. Something inexplicable had drawn her to Emiyn that day in the park. She would never have guessed that the scrawny homeless man she had given a meal to would turn out to be her beloved partner and the father of her children. Someone so strong and dependable and wonderful... "It seems we both found freedom here."
A soft sigh came with the reassurance. It was still a terrifying prospect.. but he was right. The boys would have a great start as it was.
"A third?" Her head snapped up and she looked at him with wide eyes. Part of it was disbelief, but another was also possibly... hope? She cleared her throat bashfully and tucked herself back against him to hide her face. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves."

"Agreed." A soft sight of contentment left Emiyn's lips as he enjoyed the moment until his next comment startled a reaction from Yokka. "Aye, captain." He teased quietly, his fingers gently running through Yokka's hair as she hid against him. "Just musing out loud so don't mind me. Never had a big family so the thought of one is nice now that I've found someone I trust with my future." He admitted as he placed a soft kiss against the top of her head, the Matori's cheeks darkening into a flush as his feelings slipped through again. From someone so prickly to someone now so sentimental...who would have thought it possible? Still, Emiyn did not find himself complaining as he settled in next to Yokka to keep her company for the next couple of hours until the crew called for either one of them again.

Yokka felt herself relaxing almost instantly as those fingers combed her hair through. A small smile accompanied a content sigh as she snuggled closer. "Maybe," she admitted softly. She would have thought that adjusting to motherhood would have been much rougher considering that she had never wanted it before. Pregnancy was no easy rowing, but being a mother and loving her family... frankly, maybe adding another one wouldn't be so bad. She wasn't sure she wanted a large family like she had grown up in, but to give the boys more little siblings... Yeah. Maybe.
