"Glad, too." Having their foreheads touch like this, sharing the air with her, the space with her, this personal space with her -- it felt nice. He liked being able to touch; Fulgurite was generally a physical guy in general, and he was very happy to be able to touch those important to him. This was rare. It was something he had easily with Cryolite, but with her... Well, it was like long distance but worse, right? No wonder so many corrupted for love. (Or purified, he supposed. That did happen sometimes. He was fairly sure it was what Nectaris wanted from him considering literally all of their conversations. He didn't want her to corrupt again, though he was fairly sure Albite kept hoping despite everything...) Okay, so this was sounding familiar to her. The Negaverse having their hands in every pie must have been so familiar that it was even breaking through the fact that she lost so many of her memories in purification. (What would he lose? Would he lose the memories of Dad and Orah? Would he lose the memories of Cryolite? Of Syrus? Would he forget all of them, and have to force what he could back together of his memories?) "I mean, if you want to make sure you're not investing in their stuff, I can give you their name?" He glanced to the side. "Least I can do is make sure you're not investing in something you'd rather not be, right?" Where was that money they were getting going? ... Best not to think too hard about what the Negaverse projects would do with it.

"You can't just tell me there's a bank and then not tell me what bank it is," said Nikki, still nuzzling, still soft, but there was also a hint of that sassy indignant tone in her voice that had coume out more back when she was Sylvite. She pulled back enough that she could look him in the eyes with raised eyebrows. "Like, what if I was giving money to something that's gonna steal starseeds, without even wanting to?" She wasn't sorry, if he didn't want to think about the implications of that. The last couple times they'd met up, she'd begged and begged him to leave, talked about the power of love again, all that, and he'd said no, talked about his family. She wasn't gonna ask about it this time in so many words, but he had to know that there was no getting around the fact that the Negaverse did bad things. At least he could help her protect herself, and her money, she guessed, and not wanting things to get weird, she threw her arms around his shoulders.

That was... valid, honestly. He was telling her about this bank's existence and holding back exactly where it was, or which one it was, which just made him hiding things from her and that wasn't exactly much better than anyone else hiding the whole truth, right? Communication was important. It was part of why he and Syrus worked so well together; they had communication down pat -- "Augusta," offered Fulgurite, doing his best not to think about the implications of what she just said. Starseeds were taken by the plenty of some of their faction. He remembered Heliodor dumping all those starseeds in front of Faustite-- "That's the name. Local in general. They're still working on the takeover. Can point to who's working on it too, if needed." If she didn't want to risk her money going to a place she didn't want it to go, the best he could do is tell her where not to put it. Then she could invest her money elsewhere. As per usual, the Negaverse could go about whatever business they had, so at the very least she wouldn't have to be part of whatever they were doing this time. Easy enough.

"Okay," said Nikki, but she didn't make any more comments about money, or starseeds, or anything like that. She could feel the way that Fulgurite seemed to be stiffening up, kinda, when he was talking about it. She didn't need him to be all like that. This was there time together, something that they barely ever got. She wanted to be able to enjoy it. "I mean I think that's all I need to know in order to not get all caught up in it," she said. "Sorry. We don't have to talk about work stuff." Not that they had much else to talk about, with how stuff was, and she was glad that Fulgurite was looking out for her, but this felt like it had shifted from fun gossip into something a little but more serious. Instead she reached to explore the hair closer to his face. She brushed it away from his eyes and behind his ears. "We can just sit," she said. "I like being with you."

Easy enough. If just telling her the name was enough to help keep track of who not to do business with, that was all he needed to give her, and they could stop chatting about the implications of a Negaverse-led bank with Negaverse-laden intentions. Would they find more efficient ways to kill people, all in the name of their eldritch overlord or her apparent capitalist intentions? The whole thing made his skin crawl. ... Which made it easier to not think about. If they could just sit, that was a lot better. This time was essentially stolen time; there wasn't exactly a cat he could snatch to help the two of them disguise their auras, at least without trusting them not to tell anyone else about what they were doing. The hair combing was comforting, in a way, and the stiffness she might have started to notice did relax back a bit. "I like being with you too." His gaze turned out toward the plants they were hiding between. "Keep hoping I'll see you when I come here to chill out, but today you got here first, I suppose."

"I'm getting fast," said Nikki with a much lighter smile when he pointed out that she had gotten here first. "You're gonna have to get faster at getting to your spot if you wanna beat me, yeah?" Although, if he started making it into a competition, than she was gonna make it into a competition right back. Also, she was really good at games. She was wearing that He-Man-The-Man title proudly. That thought was all it took to get Nectaris away from thoughts of banks, and infiltration, and just the Negaverse as a whole. That stuff was just gossip, the same as Fulgurite talking all about Faustite's husbands, and how they dumped out starseeds in front of him or whatever. It was interesting, and probably important to keep in the back of her mind, but not something to dwell on in the tiny bit of time that they had together. "But, hey, it all worked out, right? We ran into each other." She stopped messing with his hair and his face to just collapse into a full on hug, squeezing him just a little bit. "Nobody's around. We can just chill a bit, yeah?"
