Hinata nodded, and took the jacket back, holding it carefully and close.
"I suppose not," she acknowledged. "Thank you. I'll...keep it close to me."
Perhaps she would even wear it, when she left. Take some comfort with her, on her last night as Hinata Yukimura.
The question, though, made her frown, and tilt her head to the side, and think.
"I....don't know," she acknowledged. "I'd never have thought him capable of sharing, before. I suppose he's accepted that sharing is the price of getting to be with Faustite at all, and decided that he's content with that." She smiled, wryly. "And Faustite treats him better than any other man he's dated, so I imagine that factors in. But if you regret what you did, if it's harmed you, if you think that your life might be better for undoing it....perhaps it doesn't matter if it will consume you, literally. Because in some ways it has already started to."

Lionel sighed. “I suppose that’s fair. I was…it didn’t really hit me until the wedding…and I just…I was so damn jealous…and I had thought it was only the three of us, but then…now there’s more and I’m just tired. I don’t know how to fight to get his attention….and…”
And if his scheme didn’t work…there would be no more Faustite and the whole…s**t. If the scheme did work but…only halfway…there would still be no more Faustite…
For a moment he looked almost sick. “...Actually. No matter what happens Faustite is going to be dead. He might not remember me at all. If their plans work, he might not remember any of us…and then…then I’ll…”
Wrapping his arms around his torso, Lionel moved to sit down. “...Let’s just…forget I asked or said anything I hadn’t. Really thought that far…do you want to order pizza and watch something stupid until my time’s up?”

Hinata nodded. "I can understand feeling jealous. It only makes sense, given the situation." More sense, almost, than acceptance, in some ways.
She sighed, quietly, and nodded. It was true--there were so many risks to this plan. And yet it seemed the only one on offer, and who evne knew the person that would come out the other end of it.
Another soft sigh. A smile.
"Pizza and a movie sounds wonderful. Ideal night, if I'm entirely honest."
