Dean was quickly rolled onto his shoulders, his feet facing the sky.
1....
Rosario screamed no loudly as he slapped the mat. The crowd started to build with anticipation as the ref's hand was coming down for the second count. Dean was acting spry earlier, but he was beginning to get sloppy it seemed, then...
2...
Dean finally kicked upwards, launching himself backwards and breaking the count. Holy crap! Drako was fast, and he needed to be faster. Dean would let the momentum carry him backwards and once again attempt to charge forward but this time with a low dropkick, looking to place one right at the chest of the lowered champion.

Drako rolls with the kickout and up to a crouch. as Dean charges in, he leaps up and attempts a double stomp to the chest. The champion knows full well his advantages here and he's going to have to fight harder and come with the unexpected.

"THUD!" from the canvas.
"OOOOOOO" from the crowd.
"UGH" from the rookie.
All three sounds spewed from the arena as the double stomp connected and Dean was planted somewhere in between the canvas and Drako's boots. His chest feeling every bit single ounce of Drako's weight, and then some. He let out a strong exhale as he went to push himself up to atleast a knee, not letting the momentum slide.

Drako rolls backwards and to his feet after countering the challenger. As he's trying to get up again, Drako decides to switch his tactics again, as he looks to meet him on the rise with a knife edged chop across the chest

“Wooooo”
The sound of skin on skin smacking against each other overcame the crowd as the chop connected. Dean grabbed his chest as he did a little circle, his mouth wide open as he exhaled. It was a warm burn he felt, and it was a warm burn he wanted to send back as he would go to deliver his own knife hand chop to the champions chest!

Drako is caught with the chop in retaliation and the second round of "Wooo" rings throughout the arena. The champion grits his teeth to bear the pain, but it's time to step this into more familiar territory. He quickly attempts to fire back with a quick left right jab combination, that he'd cap off with one more hard knife edged chop

Deans back hit the canvas as he lost his balance on the chop. Not only did the jab combo throw him off but the champ had power behind his smaller frame. But Dean had power too! Dean jumped to his feet, ignoring the fall as he would go to lay a single but strong knife edge chop onto the chest of the Champion again. Offense was necessary!

Drako has a pace set now, and Dean is falling right into it. As the challenger pops back up and comes back for the chop, the champion ducks and looks to catch him in a rear waistlock, then fall back into victory roll pin

The speed! it was quick as Dean found himself once again in a roll up, but it wasn't going far this time as he knew what the champion had. Dean would use his strength to attempt to flip, keeping the pin, and roll them both but now in the opposite position with his own rolling pin.

the roles are reversed here, as the champion now finds himself rolled into his own pin attempt.

Drako kicks out and attempts to catch Dean's leg as he does, specifically the one in the brace, as he attempts to catch him by surprise with an ankle lock submission hold

His ankle was locked as the tension between his foot and his shin increased tremendously. This was not good and the longer this man had control the longer it would take Dean to be able to come back. He could roll but he figured that with how quick Drako was being he would once again have the upper hand. He needed to put his training to work.
Dean attempted to lift his other foot high up and land it onto the back of his knee, and wanting to try and pull Drako down as he used his own knees to bring himself up. The idea was to put themselves on equal ground and bring Drako's head close enough to be able to reach with his arm to lock in a side headlock and wrench the champion's head.

Drako had a goal here, and that was to remind Dean that he wasn't by any means a one dimensional wrestler. He could brawl, he was fast, and he could wrestle. With the challenger in the ankle lock, he was pretty sure Dean had gotten the message. That being said, the challenger wasn't done yet, as much as Drako might have liked to tap him out here. Dean wisely manages to get the champion down enough to catch him in the side headlock
JR: Here we are back to the technical game as it seems the challenger is staying with what brought him to the dance.
King: When facing a champion like Drako, this is probably the smartest thing to do. Don't play to the champion's various strengths, play to your own and keep the man on the ground

Dean held the the Headlock in strong as the crowd waned from their excitement. Compared to the quick counters these holds were boring. Silence began to enter the arena as the commentator were quick to keep up the energy with their speculation. Dean had the champ where he wanted him and was slowing it down to a halt. Next he needed to do some actual damage to daze the man if he wanted things to go any where.
Tightening his biceps, strengthening the hold, Dean went to flip Drako over with a headlock takeover, and now in this new position go to deliver some open palms to the head of the Damone.

Drako finds himself dropped to the mat with the headlock takeover, something the crowd isn't too pleased about and neither is the champion. He's even less pleased with the open palms to the head, the only indication of which is the single stomp he gives to the mat after

Rosario screamed from the side of the apron as the arena was silent from the slow down. Still on top of Drako, Dean would try to reach for Drako's hand and outstretch it, trying to bring it towards the rookie's face. If successful Dean would go to clamp down and grab a hold of the champions fingers with his teeth. The fans wanted teeth clenching action, he was going to give it to them.
