Zota looked over her shoulder with wide eyes of pretend shock. "I can not in good conscious leave my sweet baby sister to trudge through this mess on her own. I wouldn't dream of it." She turned toward the counter to hide how her expression fell, though her voice was calm and even. "Anyway, I don't mind at all. With you leaving soon, I would like to spend time with you while I can." She turned back with a light but mischievous smirk on her lips. "I might even be convinced to not tell mother I helped you with your chores in return for a favor."

Zota chuckled and flipped her braid with a flourish. "Eh, it runs in the family." She gathered a few plates from the end of the table she had shoved them to and carried them over to the sink. "Well, I don't know. I haven't had time to think of a favor yet. It could be aaaaanything." Despite her exaggerations, she knew that any favor she requested would be small. Helping to clean up the kitchen wasn't exactly a hefty leverage; especially when she was being told not to help. Thieves... It really was scary to think about Zerynthia going off into the world, but the girl certainly had the spirit for it. "Well, I already put the apron on. I'll just collect the dishes at least and I'll leave the rest to you, if you insist."
