Kerberos nodded slowly, and gave Ida what he hoped was a reassuring smile. She had been through so much--he hoped she meant it, accepting his offer to let her lay down her troubles with him.
"I appreciate that," Kerberos said. "And I think you're a lot better than you think you are, Ida." His voice was soft, gentle. He turned his hand over under hers, to squeeze her hand gently. "I know I can trust you, and I hope you'll trust me in turn."
He would have liked to ask her to stay, but it was certainly true that two bright Eternal auras would not be encouraging for anyone who wanted to come visit him.
"Come back any time," he said. "I'm not always here, and I don't have a schedule...but I always want to see you."

His warm hand closed around hers and the contact transferred that warmth into her own skin, seeping through her to turn comfort into... something undefinable. She tucked that feeling away, knowing she needed time and space to really process it.
Some where she hadn't just been bawling her eyes out over her ex-girlfriend.
"Thank you." Ida said softly, returning a squeeze to his hand. "I'll do that."
