Zyphire's fingers slowly rubbed across Sylvirah's hand, the Shifter tracing comforting circles around her skin as they spoke. "I think either would be a good, strong name." Zyphire nodded with a small smile. "Though honoring your grandfather would be more touching, if wanted." The man paused as the question was placed on him and he found himself pursing his lips thoughtfully.
"Honestly? If we had a daughter then perhaps I'll claim a name finally." He teased quietly, "Though I don't know if I'm allowed since I named Ziya." It was a joke since he respected the customs of the village along with their more wild language and ways. Their daughters had all been given more traditional names while his son had a simpler name based upon Zyphire's preference. "Perhaps though if we had a girl as well then I would consider something like Rue or Thyra."

She’d already honored her grandmother by giving her name to their first born daughter so continuing the trend wouldn’t be strange. Still, when he mentioned claiming a name she couldn’t help giving a little grin. “We already have a tradition that I think we should keep. I name the girls and you name the boys.” After all, they’d managed to do it so far by accident and it seemed to work. Her son was the only one in the village whose name wasn’t thick enough to choke on.
“Both are lovely. I hold preference for Thyra but Rue sounds nice to the ear.” Looking out over the hides, Sylvirah took a deep breath and exhaled. “I’m ready to go in if you are. I’m not much use out here anymore.”

Zyphire quirked a playful brow. "But how can that be fair if you want to honor your grandfather?" He teased, the Shifter trying to lighten the mood a bit more. "It would make more sense if I finally get a chance at a daughter's name."
"Right? I think both are rather nice and can be strong as well." He beamed at the acceptance, hopeful that maybe he could have a chance at more names even though they also hoped for a son. Though even Zyphire had to wonder how much larger their family could grow. Anything was possible, right? "We'll have to celebrate later on and invite friends and family by next year." That way when they were settled and the baby was finally here, spirits willing, they could host others finally. It felt like their family was doing well and the village was thriving now after years in the new location much to Zyphire's relief.

"We'll have to hold our own festival. I think we're stable enough for that now."
A little gathering, something to celebrate the challenges they'd faced over the years and subsequent blessings. Nothing came freely, but if anything was going to get her through this next pregnancy it was hope that a brighter day was waiting for them.
"I'd like to talk to the children about it first, but I think we should keep this in the family for now. Just...until we're the little ones safe." They wouldn’t have a choice once she started to show, but at least for a time the knowledge could be theirs.

Zyphire nodded. "I agree. We'll keep it between ourselves for now and celebrate when everything is confirmed." When they knew it would be safe and avoid any particular glances of pity or disappointment that could come their way in case of misfortune. All Zyphire could do now though was hope for the best. The Shifter forced a confident smile and pulled Sylvirah in for an embrace. "Lær av gårsdagen, lev i dag og håp på i morgen." He whispered quietly before placing a gentle kiss on the top of her head, lingering for a moment longer. They would do just that. Zyphire was determined to do his best this time, to protect their family and their future.
