Aloysius stared for a moment and then slumped as the relief washed through him. “Thank god…” he crossed himself for a moment before continuing. With a deep breath, he changed, becoming General Chalcanthite. “I go out because I am the shark in the pond. Though in the past I was the gosh that got chewed up and spit out.” He changed back and pulled the neck of his shirt down to reveal a spider's web of pale white scars, crossing over the area that showed. “I apologize…. I just have demons. This time of year especially. You are one of the mirror wielders right? Like that puppeteer, I met long ago. Bischofite… was a partner of sorts that I left out of fear from seeing what he’d become…” A shudder went through him as he felt the scars on his forearms more keenly as they brushed against the blanket.
“I have been in this game for over a decade Liam… and I have lost everyone except for one other on my side. I am sorry if you are off put by what lies behind the mask I wear in public. God knows I have grown so tired… so very tired of faking that I am alright. I know I need help and I have no right to ask but will you help me.” He reached out his pale hand towards Liam, bringing the scars even more to the others' view in the light. There was very little of him not covered in scars, both self-inflicted or from battle.

A general….that was a bit of a surprise, though he didn’t know what to expect really, the scars though they made an impression were not a surprise. He was a general and had been fighting a while, at least he figured he had been to achieve that rank, so it really seemed like something to expect for Liam. “Yeah, a dark mirror senshi. I’m not eternal though…” Shrugging a bit at that. He was fine with where he was, though he did want to become stronger, he wasn’t lacking in confidence at being just a super senshi. He could hold his own if need be, and if not he had others he could call for help.
“I know who you mean…our prince.” Nodding his head. So the other had at least met one of their leaders, that was a good thing.
Shaking his head at the other suddenly he reached out, letting the henshin pen fall onto the couch. “You don’t have anything to apologize for. You’ve been involved in this for a long time and things happen. I haven’t been involved even half that time and I’ve seen enough. I’m not surprised there are demons that trouble your sleep.” He would be more surprised if the other slept peacefully every night and didn’t have nightmares about this war.
“If you want help from me….I’ll help. I don’t know how I can help but you tell me - tell me what you need and how I can help.” He wasn’t perfect, he had his own problems and issues, but he was willing to help. He’d helped children before, those he’d lived with at the orphanage, so why couldn’t he help someone now? It wasn’t the same sort of thing but at least this he could understand; sort of. “So long as you don’t care that I’m an unwanted orphan who has no family save for my fellow dark mirror senshi. If that doesn’t bother you I’ll help…I won’t leave and I’ll help you stand on your own two feet.”

“You are not unwanted and thank you. I need a friend and I need to throw out all this liquor in my home.” He leaned forward and did something he hadn’t done in almost 7 years. He hugged the other person and truly, honestly, thanked Liam for saving him.
