Honi searched, but she couldn't guess a single hint into whether or not Adhira's statement was good. Hopefully someone was keeping Eli's mother safe! She nodded slowly to Eli and raised her hand to gently squeeze his arm. "We'll figure out where she is." At least, Eli would figure it out. She wasn't likely to be much help herself. She liked feeling as though she could be helpful though. "We've got to keep you safe first so that we can find her later." Her gaze flicked briefly over to the mysterious Adhira and straight back to Eli. Now she was even more worried about them standing there. "Can we go now?"

Despite every ounce of training telling him not to, Eliazer lifted his hand and placed it atop the one Honi had placed on his arm. Not a bit of it was missed by Adhira who simply watched with a curious eye and a quirk of her brow.
"Us safe." Finding his mother wouldn't bring him any joy if he knew that Honi had been lost in the process. It was going to add another layer to their journey and to be honest, it was overwhelming. At Honi's question he nodded while shifting a more accusatory look toward his mentor, "Are you going to chase us?"
"Not today." She smirked. "I'll give you...three days? That's enough to find somewhere safe to handle yourselves but after that..." Her hand went to the pistol at her side. Taking a few steps back, she looked at the two and gave a halfhearted wave before slipping out of the alley into the street.

The need for comfort outweighed the need for subtlety. Honi couldn't help giving Eli a grateful smile at the correction. She didn't want to be a distraction.. but she definitely wanted to come out the other side alive with him. Her eyes started to follow to look toward Adhira, but she stopped herself and kept her focus on Eli's chest. Adhira made her just too nervous now that they were about to leave. Could they trust that she wouldn't follow them?
The sound of the warning was plenty without the visual. She listened to the steps fade away and took a step closer to Eli. "No one else is going to plan on giving us time. Where do we go?"

Watching Adhira walk away was akin to keeping an eye on a vicious beast. Even with her back to him he didn't feel safe and now that she had their trail she was just as likely to put a barrel to his head as she'd been to help. It was the nature of the job and while Eli didn't fault her for it he couldn't help the way his spine stiffened around the woman.
"We need a place to stay." He had a couple of options, but honestly...Eli took a shallow breath and exhaled with his eyes closed. "Just...a minute?" After he'd signed it the Geian leaned forward and put his forehead against hers, his eyes still closed.

Truth be told, that encounter left Honi feeling more uncertain than when they had arrived off that ship. As lost as she had felt, her options were forcefully but comfortably limited when on the ship. There had been no choices to make, no running to do. They had been relatively safe.
She looked up at the request, cheeks warming as their foreheads pressed together. Grateful for the contact, she raised her hands to hook over his shoulders gently to support him as much as herself. "A minute." She kept her eyes open, gaze flicking between Eli and the alley Adhira had vanished down. "I've got you."
