"Mm," the Leaf hummed, stalling not because he did actually need to think about it, but just to tease her more. Of course he was fine with it. He always thought he'd make a wonderful father, if not one who had a problem with saying no. Elka, however, had the discipline to keep him in check so he didn't raise hooligans who thought they could get away with anything. It was the perfect mix. They both could be loving and playful when they wanted to be and together he would learn to start saying no.

He felt a jab in his side as the silence stretched on of an elbow. Okay, he made her suffer long enough.

"You know it's a yes," he answered, leaning in for another kiss on her cheek.

"Slow down," Kayde laughed, putting his hands on her shoulders and stepping backwards. Her hands slipped off his chest to hang down at her sides. "First things first, right?"

Not that he supposed it was a bad idea to get started on it as soon as possible. It wasn't like it was a room they were actively using. It was currently sitting mostly empty, all of Elka's stuff now in the same room as his was, considering they were now sharing a bed. Her old bed was still there, which would need to be removed until the kid was old enough to use a bed that size. Kayde was a stern believer in doing now what needed to be done instead of waiting later on down the road, when it might be more impossible to finish the task. The last thing he would want was his kid to have less than was necessary because he had been irresponsible in preparing for them.
