Revna 4
Now that Revna had gotten her focus back the youngling was determined to keep it. “Papa looks like you may have to go visit Uncle instead.” She couldn’t help taunting as she raised her bow towards the target. Admittedly the fact that her father and sister were consistent in their shots was a bit more pressure than she liked and so Revna made certain her next shot was just as precise as before. Another dummy took an arrow to the chest as she turned around and smiled towards her mother. “I don’t think we’ll have to clean the house later.” She grinned before glancing back towards her father and sister, raising her chin slightly before going back into position to wait and see whatever shots they had next. Even if they did start shooting direct hits she was going to keep doing the same so good luck to them!

Sylvirah 5
"I don't have to~" Sylvirah cooed with an absurdly proud grin. If there was one thing she didn't need was to tempt her husband. They could take a little trip under the guise of 'visiting family' along the border and maybe do some camping instead. Just a little relaxing time to themselves~
While Sylvirah could hear the sounds of movement in the wilds around them she paid it little mind. Whatever was out there would no doubt go away from the noises, and honestly, what sane creature would come out into a clearing like this? Still, when she next readied her bow Sylvirah thought she saw something and her arrow went wide of the target....
...straight into the woods toward the sound. Nothing cried out though so maybe she was just imagining it?

Silfi 5
Seeing how well her big sister was doing now that she'd really warmed up was a blow to Silfi's confidence. It seemed like no matter how much her father propped her up the little one just couldn't get the hang of it and when she let go of the next arrow it, too, fell short of it's target.
"Papa," Getting a little closer to the shifter, she reached over to tug on his pant leg, "The kitchen isn't too dirty, is it? I'm not very good at this...and I know I'm gonna have to scrub..." The rest of her siblings had been naturals so why was it that Silfi struggled so much with the bow? She'd even seen Yngvara take down a mammu from the sky! Zyphire 5
Zyphire chuckled softly under his breath. "No worries, Silfi. Even if we lose I'll make sure cleaning is fun, maybe we can sneak in some baking as well once the kitchen is finished." It really wasn't the harshest punishment, not when Zyphire was accustomed to being the one to clean the kitchen since he was the one in it the most often whenever he was home. What actually bothered Zyphire was whatever had gotten Sylvirah's attention and it was not surprising that whenever he also heard the rustling the Shifter aimed towards it instead while acting as if he had missed the dummy.
"Damn." Zyphire shook his head and gave a slight shrug even though his gaze sought Sylvirah's, concern obviously there as he tried to figure out whatever was rustling in the bushes. Had their daughters heard? The last thing he wanted was for Revna and Silfi to panic...

Painted Moose When the family refuses to shoot and a weywa just rampages through instead... Revna 5
Even her mother and father were missing shots?! Revna found herself shaking her head with a frown. She was determined to not clean the kitchen this time and so the girl took a few steps, aimed at the nearest dummy and immediately lost her shot as a big furry thing came darting through the bushes with an arrow sticking out of its side. "What...is that?!" She personally had never seen a weywa before because of how hidden the creatures usually were and never had Revna expected one to come barging into their training area! Why was it even here?
The youngling quickly moved to the side and even tugged Silfi after her as the large creature ran through the clearing like there was a fire raging behind it.

Sylvirah 6
Her ears caught the sound again and like a beast she turned toward it. For a moment she tuned out her family all together, her eyes adjusting to the area around them and any little subtle movements in the trees. When Sylvirah reached back for an arrow it wasn't to shoot toward any target, but rather in preparation of something to come. Her hand hovered over the fletching, however, instead of taking it just in case...
"Helvete!"
Sylvirah's fingers grasped the edge of the arrow, whipped it over her shoulder and fired in an instant. It only took a moment for the arrow to find it's mark, though she knew from experience that it would barely slow a weywa down. Creatures with hide that thick would take more than two adults and two children to take down...
Which was why before she even knew if the arrow had hit she was stooping down to grab Revna and pull her up into her arms. "We need to run!"
[Less as an official shot and more to just see if she could buy them some time]

Silfi 6It didn't take much to bring a smile back to her face. Although it might still be a little cautious, the idea of baking with her father never failed to lift the little one's spirits. "I like that. Maybe we could make something for Ziya, since he made something for me last time." It was for the whole family, actually, but it was Silfi's favorite so she'd considered it her treat. So wrapped up in the game was she that she didn't even think twice when he cursed, much less when her mother starred into the void. So far the only one that she was paying attention to was Revna. When the noises got too loud to ignore, however, she turned - and immediately shrieked. Silfi easily allowed herself to be pulled along by Revna, her eyes widened and terrified as a great beast barreled into the training arena. Why was it here?! Weren't they supposed to be in caves?!

[Zyphire 6]
"Noted!" Zyphire didn't even have time to admire Sylvirah's shot because the beast was barely slowing down even in pain. All he could do was sacrifice his own bow by swinging it wildly towards the creature, the Shifter cursing the fact that he hadn't brought his blades to this training session. If only he had! "Get to the village, get other hunters!" He called out loudly as he twisted back around, hoping that he had somehow steered the creature away more with the sacrifice of his bow. As much as he wanted to swing back around and fight the creature the sight of Silfi and seeing her fear made Zyphire mimic Sylvirah as he swooped down to pull up their other daughter into his arms.
"Sylvirah, go to the village with Revna. Revna grab my swords from my room, just keep running and I'll meet you by the path into the village." Zyphire instructed as he tugged Silfi up against his chest while running alongside of Sylvirah and Revna, the Shifter holding onto his youngest tightly. "We'll run to the side to try and confuse it before meeting you back there." There was no time for discussions, not with that large of a beast on a rampage so close to their home. "Silfi, på tide å være modig. Let's go."

Revna 6
Revna numbly watched as she was pulled apart from Silfi, the girl tightening her hold around her mother's neck as she was lifted into the air. "Careful!" She yelled, her golden gaze actually filled with worry for once. Even if she always bullied Silfi it didn't mean that she actually hated her! The last thing she wanted was for the other youngling to get trampled to death by a weywa.
Her heart racing, her head spinning with confusion Revna nearly lost focus until her father's voice grabbed her attention. "Swords." She repeated before nodding, her lips tightening together in determination. She couldn't lose her cool, not when her papa needed help! "Let's go, mama!" Revna urged Sylvirah as she tried her best to keep her tears from spilling out even when she watched her father and sister darting to the side, worry tightening in her chest like her heart was being squeezed by a chiavi's talon.

Sylvirah 7
If there had been any issues getting to the training ground there were none running away from it. Every ache in Sylvirah's still healing body seemed to disappear as she clutched her daughter tight. The sounds of the beast behind her spurned the huntress over a grouping of stones and she very nearly slid on another before catching her footing.
"Vær trygg, min kjære!" Watching them go was hard, especially knowing what Zyphire planned to do, but Sylvirah couldn't dawdle. Both she and Revna had important roles to play so she needed to keep them focused. "It's going to be okay, Revna; no crying, alright? That's for later. Right now Papa and Silfi need us." The icelings legs burned from the exertion, but when she was well within a 'safe' perimeter of their home she lowered herself into a crouch so that Revna could safely depart. "Get Papa's blades, quickly, and be careful. Mama's going to get the riders." She reached over, smoothed some curls away from Revna's face and kissed the girl's forehead. " Til vi møtes igjen."
And with that she took off again, this time in search of backup.

Silfi 7The little one held onto her sister as long as she could before being scooped up into her father's arms. While there was a thread of panic that went through her, it was somewhat mitigated once she caught sight of Revna with their mother. She wrapped her arms around Zyphire, her tears making sight blurry as he ran. It was hard trying to see the creature around Papa's hair, but what she did see did nothing for her nerves. It was big and angry. When it roared she gasped and buried her face into Zyphire's collarbone. She barely caught onto the words being tossed around her until it dawned on her that they were going to split off. By the time she realized what was happening and looked up Mama and Revvy were already going away. Time to be brave? Looking up at Papa, then back to the weywa, she couldn't help a quiver in her lip. "Jeg kan prøve."

Zyphire 7
"I believe in you, little one. Just hold on tightly." Zyphire murmured quietly as he increased his speed, the Shifter's movements almost a blur as he caught the creature's attention. Even if his shoulders smacked into a few branches to avoid the beast's rampage, Zyphire moving to make certain Silfi didn't get hit, the pain and bruises were worthwhile since it gave Sylvirah and Revna time to gather the villagers. Once Zyphire raced around the creature enough times to get it lost within the woods, the rampage turning into confusion, the Shifter finally turned back towards town. Hopefully that'll give us enough time. He held tightly onto Silfi and only let her go once the house was in sight. "Find shelter with Revna in the root cellar. I'll send her to you as soon as I get my blades."
And just like that the man went into action, as soon as he retrieved his blades from his other daughter he was on the way to join the hunters who had already gathered to take down the rampaging beast.

Revna 7
Revna could only nod as her mother left her. Taking a deep breath the youngling rushed upstairs to grab Zyphire's blades, the swords clinking on the stone stairs as she returned just in time to hand them over to the flushed Shifter. "Vær trygg!" The girl took Silfi into her arms, a rare moment of Revna expressing sisterly affection and concern before she prepared to take them to the safe area even though honestly it was so tempting to just go and watch the hunt which was about to unfold outside of their village.
