She smiled and a blush crossed her pale cheeks as Niabi showed affection, always caught off guard but enjoying the actions. She wasn't the shy type, but any sort of affection was something that still caused her cheeks to glow. Maybe it was because she was so pale.
"Hmmm..." she nodded in reply, nuzzling into Niabi's chest before it was pulled away and she pouted, "Oh, I thought only girls came from the tree?"

Niabi shook her head at Amarone, her feathers and beads bobbing around her face. “Not when earthlings are involved.” Her best friend growing up had been a male hybrid and she knew of numerous others having only met a small few of them. “Aisha doesn’t always produce female hybrids.”
She wasn’t really sure she even knew how to take care of a boy. Well, in all fairness she didn’t really know how to take care of a baby in general, but at least when they grew she could relate to girls.

Having grown up with so many brothers and male cousins, Amarone shrugged off the thought, "Well boys aren't much different than girls, especially babies. No matter what we get, I'm sure they'll be perfectly perfect."
That was what Aisha blessed many of her children with, right? Smiling contently up at her partner, she added, "We knew what we were getting into. It's just an extra one added to the mix, but that's ok. Twins are always so much fun!"

Niabi hugged her partner again in a tight embrace. Whatever was to happen, they would be together through it. It was a reassuring thing to think about. “Twins will be so much fun. And they will have two mothers to love them.”
Niabi was content to help Amarone plan what it was that was needed for their home to bring two babies home. It was all they could do while they now waited for the news that their lotuses would be ready. Soon enough they would get word and they would start a new chapter in their lives.

"Between the two of us, everything will turn out just fine." She responded with a smile, ready to dive in and explore this new adventure with Niabi. Together they would figure things out, troubleshoot and solve problems. And who knows, maybe in the future they'd try again, growing a big family that Amarone was used to. But for now, she realized something was smoking from her workshop and let out a gasp and rushed over to see what was causing problems now. She really needed to find a new place for her toys.
