Well, that was good news, at least. While U'ilani could only look after their trident with an almost mournful expression they could be satisfied knowing there would be a reason for the detour. They could make some coin, get repairs and - Spirits, why did the thought of staying in the city for so long make their skin crawl? So many people...

Turning to the shorter Hapuna, U'ilani's tense expression lightened considerably. As uneasy as they were around strangers it was hard to be that reserved when Akahi was this bright. "As long as you think they'd be okay with it I'm game. It sounds perfect." Had they ever built anything in their life? Nope. But they'd made enough repairs with their father's help to know the basics so as long as Akahi's parents were willing to work with them then they'd take it!

"Sounds like it's settled." The warmer Hapuna smiled and 'delicately' laid the trident out on a nearby table. It was a little amusing, considering that the weapon dwarfed her, but the Hapuna handled it with practiced ease. Once she had it settled she held out her hand with an even brighter smile, "Just a few coins. A down payment, just in case you skip town."

Not likely, but U'ilani pulled out the required payment anyway and handed it over. She counted it out, slipped it into a pouch at her side, and turned to Akahi, "Remember to tell your other friends about us and if you ever need anything," She pointed to her cheeks with both of her index fingers, "-come here first!" Then she walked off to relay the plans with the other smiths.
