The Negaverse had some fairly decent medical services, he had come to understand, for those who followed them. If the pain became more severe, it would be easy enough to handle.
The moment she let go of him, Borax leaned more heavily on the other foot as he opened some distance between the two of them. He still had the vaguest headache from Myrrha's magic, but that had been overwhelmed by the fact that his ankle likely needed ice. Whatever he grabbed after vacating would have to be a quick one. He'd just have to get far enough away that she wouldn't immediately pursue him, power down, and then power back up to quickly take care of business once he was out of range.
He shook out his hand as if putting it near her had offended him.
"You types are so concerned over a single soul. It's interesting, really." He hummed under his breath, riding the feeling of victory even as his body felt a bit overwhelmed. "Congrats. This one gets to live."
For now.
Borax had no concern for that civilian in the future. He couldn't guarantee they wouldn't be found by someone else later.
Easiest to let her think she won this one completely. He had gotten what he had wanted out of her, even if it was slowing down his alleyway exit.
He let her concern herself over the civilian as he left.
