Fang hummed, thinking it over, ears and tail perfectly relaxed. "No food. Never there when Fang is... Not-Fang," he explained, too shy to tell her who he was outside of being a senshi. Too vulnerable. He liked her! But she wasn't in his Pack, the one that he lived with, that took care of each other so carefully. "Wisp very nice," he said decidedly. It burbled and cuddled up to him, making him laugh.

She smiled again at his declaration of the wisp's character, the corners of her dark eyes crinkling. Maybe the little sprite only sensed him when he was powered up, and that's why it always came then. It would make a sort of sense. She could feel Fang's aura, it wouldn't be strange if the wisp could to. Some questions about the little thing would have to remain unanswered though, at least for now.
When they moved on, Ida told him little stories as they walked, senses open for trouble. She told him about some of the people she saw at the hospital, and how it had been like helping Selinur get used to living on Earth like Fang must have learned. She didn't conjecture about what two such people coming to Earth might mean, or if there were others out there. Fang presenting as many questions, more even, than his wisp in that area.
She asked him questions as well, but tried to keep them on the simple side. What Earth food did he like best? Did he have to hide his ears when he was powered down? What did he like to do when he wasn't patroling? Sensitive to how hard speaking had been for him before, she tried to keep up as much of the conversation herself as she could. It was a bit of an odd feeling, doing so much talking instead of listening. Ida wasn't sure she really liked it, but a little discomfort on her end was better than on his.
Any signatures she felt stayed far away and most blipped out soon after she felt them. No one in this part of town seemed inclined to stay out, and that was fine with her. It was nice to just be out, and not alone for once.
"It might be time to head home soon." She said, looking up to see flakes drifting down from the dark sky. "I have to work at the hospital in the morning."

Fang loved listening to Ida speak. Her stories were fun, and spoke a lot about life on Earth. He answered her questions as best he could—bacon cheeseburgers, yes he had to hide his ears and he very much hated it, and he really, really liked to read. English was hard, but reading was such a nice thing to get to do. "Ah, sorry," he said, ducking his head a bit. "I... did not mean to ... keep you so long. Go bed, sleep good. Save people tomorrow."

He reminded her of Selinur, a little bit, who also hated that he had to hide his ears and tail. It made her smile and she resolved to introduce them some time, if she could. She could hope they'd find a new friend in each other, friends that shared some similar experiences.
She also resolved to find some simple books to gift him, pleased to find something he liked.
Ida shook her head when he apologized and waved that off with a hand. "I stayed because I wanted to. I would have patrolled alone, otherwise. But I think its a good time for us both to head home, get warm and rest. I'm glad we ran into each other. It was good to see you and I'm glad to know you've been doing okay. I'm also glad we got to patrol together."
She really did mean that, too, and she tried to put it into her voice. It helped stave off some of the loneliness, spending time with a friend.
"Hopefully we can do this again soon?" She asked as she turned to him, her fingers twining together over her stomach. "And if you ever need anything, you can call me, and I'll come. Any time."

Fang's tail wagged hard at the thought, nodding. "Yes! Yes. Staying with friend... very nice," he said eagerly, beaming at her. "See you, next time."
