Rolling Arseno and Chambersite

General Arsenopyrite

1 + 1 = 2

It had taken him much too long to finally find the ground as he rappelled down and it was not something he wanted to do again without having some sort of lighting. Even in video games the darkness was intimidating if you didn't have at least a small light source.

He had followed the rest of the team to the area that they were supposed to be investigating following both of the groups leaders. While they may have both been a rank underneath him, they had been chosen as a reason and even if his lack of sleep had gotten better, it would be best to hang back in case anyone needed medical attention.

He watched the others, though he was more interested in the skeleton than anything, but it seemed that his Captain leader, Atheneite had managed to make her way over to it. Good, it seemed that everyone had found something to look at, but he decided to get a bit closer to the storm and whatever was keeping all of it in check to see if he could find anything.

General Chambersite

4 + 2 = 6

He had been both snubbed for making the food and being a leader! Chambersite was a bit peeved that he hadn't been made in charge of anything, especially the food, but made sure to keep it to himself. Even if he was a General, any bad word that got back to his superiors, which included a General King that had joined all of them on this mission, wouldn't be good.

They had finally gotten into the room and Chambersite couldn't help but be a bit excited at it. Less excited at not being able to jump straight into the middle of it, but he wasn't stupid. He wouldn't be risking his life, not yet. At least not until they had some way of calming it down, even if it was for a brief moment.

He felt a bit more irritated without Roquefort with him. The ratty Youma hadn't been in the castle when he had attempted a quick look for it, and with other Youma avoiding this place it would most likely be back at the castle going through his drawers for any food that may be in there.

The least the rat could do to be useful was provide some reconnaissance. Instead he would have to do it in the Youma's place. At least when he could figure out what was happening and what everyone was touching. Did they not at least attempt to poke at it or something before just immediately grabbing it?

Super Corrupt Valeria.

Transmission interupted? What had it been trasmitting and to where, or who? Was it a good thing that it was interupted? She could, for a moment, feel panic rising in her - that she'd made a mistake. A few deep breaths and she was able to calm herself and speak up. "This thing says transmission interupted - so it was transmitting till now." She was assuming as much anyway.

"If perhaps we can find out what it was sending out and to where?" She questioned aloud, to anyone who might hear her. She did turn her attention, slowly, to Tama who seemed to have something functioning for him. "Tama, perhaps you could find out what was being transmitted and to where?" She asked, hoping maybe the cat could find out, they were the experts when it came to technology. She was already back to poking at, and touching the screen, for the terminal she was at.

Because at least it had done something when she'd touched it, she was hoping it would do something else. If she was lucky maybe it would tell her what it had been sending, maybe even allow her to see it?

Super Corrupt Heliodor

Helio frowned a bit at the barrier. It was too far into the storm to risk yet. Best to see what others may have rustled up before taking on the brunt of the storm to get in to see their skeletal neighbor.

Instead he turned his attention towards where Tama was. A small greyed barrier had surrounded the Mauvian and Helio was peeked to interest. The Mauvian was well within his realm there. If anyone was going to get it to do his bidding it would be Tama. Helio was out of his realm beyond the mere basics of technology. He was curious though and moved to slip closer when his attention was pulled to the black, pink and cream super, Valeria.

“A transmission?” Who or what could it have been transmitting to?

He pulled out his comm. This was information worth sharing until they could gather more info. “Faustite, we have found something interesting. Seems something in our room has been transmitting information or some sort somewhere. We are working on getting more information, but Wanted to pass it along in case whatever was being transmitted is letting whoever or whatever know we are here.” He paused a moment. “You holding up, alright?”

And it was about then that Helio saw Captain Mouriterecklessly walk into the storm. He cursed.

Tama's (2) investigation of the tablet was a slow one; it may take some adjustment to the tablet's interface to truly begin probing what it had to offer. As he touched the screen, he accessed some kind of status update: the tablet displayed SYSTEMS NOMINAL. Then a monochromatic flicker ran over the screen and the message shifted to BREECH DETECTED. ENGAGE LOCKDOWN? But before it displayed any options, the monochrome was drawn back into the symbol on the screen and the terminal went dead again.

For all the grief it had given him, Roselite (8 ) had finally caught the rock. It felt warm to the touch, humming with untapped energy. As he turned it over in his hand, the Captain would find the symbol – – carved into its surface. Running a thumb over that symbol would tint the air with the smell of ozone and cause one's hair to balloon out with static. Perhaps he couldn't answer the question of whence the stone came or what its true purpose was, but its power was clearly evident.

Mourite (74) had sound suppositions about the storm, but it proved too powerful for the Lieutenant to cross it – he managed a few brave steps inward before fierce winds drove him back as many paces as he managed. Lightning cracked menacingly through the air, spreading the scent of ozone.

What Valeria (0) had gleaned was all she could get; the small interface said no more than TRANSMISSION INTERRUPTED.

Heliodor's tablet crackled with the General's response. "A transmission? Noted. Will pass it along to my tech lackey." A few moments passed as the line hung with only static. The static flared as Faustite responded. "He said he needs to know what the thing was. Can you describe what was transmitting information?"

After a moment, Faustite's voice sounded over the team leads' tablets. "Atheneite, status with me if you've anything to report."

The storm blocking any deeper access still swirled as violently as before, casting out debris that finally dislodged itself after ages of tumbling. Thunder rumbled from within, along with the hiss and pitter patter of turbulent rains. Clouds oscillated about each other, dark and foreboding, as if intent on obscuring what was beyond. Pieces of shrapnel flew out at Mourite and Tama, ready to skewer them if they failed to avoid the projectiles.

The island with the smaller terminal had suffered enough damage – its obsidian bastion against the storm collapsed in on itself and slid into the remnants of metal frames and sharpened blades. The terminal and any unclaimed items were lost to the spiky field below.

In response to this tempestuous environment, the various glowing stones had begun to emit brighter lights. They shook in the grasp of anyone who held them, as if they held too much energy to remain still. Possessors would feel a gentle tug, too, toward the raging storm in the center of the room.

BREECH DETECTED.

“Oh no.” Tama’s ears fell flat against his head. Defeat? Maybe. “I’m afraid I won’t be able to find that out, unless you have better luck.”

Now the tablet was blank again. Whatever it was had detected them. Perhaps they’d just have to go through the storm, after all.

Petulant because he couldn’t force the tech to do his bidding, the Mauvian walked towards the storm…

“If this storm wasn’t trying to kill me, I’d describe it for you in detail.” Tama yelled to Heliodor who was talking to Faustite over the tablet. “It’s a tablet. Kind of like ours, but with a symbol. Kinda looks like Pluto — eeee!”

A piece of shrapnel took a good chunk out of his long silver hair and any attempt at describing the tech ended abruptly — just like his hair now did.

Corrupt Super Fafnir
HP: 75 - KO’ed for the round 'cause he was by the small terminal

His target might have been the small island with its terminal, but nothing in the small area seemed of any interest. Rock and rubble, devoid of anything that would hint at how to proceed from here, or what was even causing the strange weather before them. He had to be careful to avoid the glass mixed in among it, not inclined to pick up a centuries old pathogen while doing his duty. It was only once he sifted past the broken bits of things that something caught his eye for just how wildly different it was from everything else.

A fist sized piece of what looked like glass, but not the same glass as the rest… and a symbol carved into it.

Reaching, he got his fingers around it before an ominous grinding noise sounded, coming from everywhere below him. Sudden concern sent him scrambling backwards as the floor gave way under him, crumbling and shuddering as it surrendered to the storm and fell into the pit below. There was no time for anything other than grabbing at the chunks of stonework and throwing himself forward to safety, sending himself sprawling across the floor.

Fafnir reeled as he lay panting, the bit of stone still clutched in his fist.

Captain Roselite
Drawn toward the storm.

HP: 75

The stone was warm. Roselite cradled it in his palm, stroked a thumb over it, felt the thrum of energy. It carried a scent, and a shock of static. Roselite’s hair, already a bit fluffy, frizzed out even more.

The symbol etched into the stone’s surface was immediately familiar. Though he had very few encounters with their White Moon enemies, he’d learned how to identify them, so that he could provide accurate information when necessary.

“Um… Captain Atheneite!” he called. His voice was not naturally loud. He put some effort into strengthening it, to be heard over raging storm and crashing debris and the chatter of allies. “This stone here, it has the symbol of Jupiter on it! There’s… some sort of power or charge to it.”

Again, Roselite looked toward the storm. Wasn’t that a common power held by those in the service of Jupiter? Storms. Rain, lightning, thunder. The planet itself was turbulent.

Was the storm some sort of magic, then? It couldn’t possibly be real, could it? Or at least not natural to the building. Where had it come from? How were they supposed to quell it? Were they supposed to quell it? So many questions; not enough answers. Roselite clutched the stone in his hand, hopeless. The more questions arose, the more he wondered what he’d thought he could accomplish here.

The stone shook in his hand. It seemed to tug at him, almost, nudging him onward, urging him toward the storm. Roselite nearly dropped the stone. Uselessly, he shook his head. He didn’t want to approach. The storm frightened him. Already he’d had a near miss with debris. The winds threw shrapnel at some of the others. Drawing any closer seemed ill advised.

Yet, draw closer he did.

Captain Atheneite
75 HP

Atheneite studied the ring for a minute she couldn't tell if it was magic or not, it looked like it had writing on the inside of the ring but she couldn't make up what it said due to the fading. She figured it would probably be best to hold onto it as it could be important, so she pocketed the ring. Standing up she surveyed the others making sure nothing was going wrong.

She saw one of her group attempt to enter the storm. "Mourite stop!" She ordered "Don't try to enter the storm until we know more about it! It could kill you!" She warmed hoping the other captain could hear her over the wind. She felt bad issuing such an order as she knew if she was not leading the team she would have done the exact same thing, but she had a responsibility to lead the team well and while the most direct route might be her preferred one that did not mean it was the best for the mission.

Then a voice came over her tablet, General Faustite asking for an update. "Of course General Faustite, just let me collect everyone's findings." She replied. "Everyone, report your finds to me at once!" She ordered yelling to both groups. After collecting all the information she relayed it to the leader of the mission. "If we find anything else we'll be sure to report in sir." She informed the fiery general.

Then things began to fly out from the storm. "Everyone get back, find cover if you can!"

As all of that was happening and the island collapsed, thing were getting dangerous. It sent a thing of excite through the captain but she remained calm she had to be a leader. One of her team called her name. She turned to the stone he was talking about. "What was that Roselite?! She jogged over. The stone did indeed have a symbol of Jupiter. "Maybe that's the source of the storm then. Good find!" She was half tempted to destroy the thing in the hope that it made the storm vanish as well, but that could just as easily make the situation worse. She noticed the other captain was having trouble holding the stone. "Hold onto that tightly Captain, that might be key to getting past this storm." She contacted Faustite passing on the information about the stone and that the storm was worsening. "Heliodor get over here have a look!" She called out to the other leader. "This might be controlling the storm!" She yelled. She also pulled out her ring looking at the stylized 4 emblazoned on it, she was thinking it was also a Jupiter ring and if that was case maybe it worked with the stone somehow.

Tama and Roselite found the storm impassable, and were each blown back for their efforts. Perhaps this wasn't yet a passable way forward.

However, as Roselite neared the storm, lightning discharged off of the stone in his hand and struck at parts of the storm itself. It seemed random, at first, but lightning seldom struck twice without reason. Something lay beyond the storm, though they hadn't yet discerned what that was. It reacted to the stone in Roselite's hand, however.

When Atheneite reported back to Faustite, he responded in kind: "Be careful, Captain. Test your findings before you commit, and pull out if you're in any more danger."

As Atheneite pocketed the ring, the nearby barrier vanished.

General Arsenopyrite

With the barrier down it appeared that they might be able to jump into whatever the storm was and possibly make it over. Before Arseno could even get to the jump part however, he was blown back by a gust a wind, knocking him back off of his feet. He only barely managed to move himself on his side so that his hands wouldn't be hurt, but clearly there was more that needed to be done before they would be successful in crossing over.

General Chambersite

Chambersite attempted to try to get to the other side as well but unlike the plague doctor-themed General he got zapped with some of the electricity that was rolling around, making him feel a slight buzz go through his body and keeping him in place for the moment. It looked like they would have to search the area for more clues. He didn't know what had caused it to disappear in the first place, but there seemed to be something that the others had done to get it to disappear.

Super Corrupt Valeria.

She had heard the question about the terminal she'd been at, since it had been the one apparently transmitting something to someone. But that was cute off when everything seemed to go sideways on the team and they were ebing attacked. Backing away from the terminalk she'd been at, as fast as she could, Valerria was glad for her shortened hair so she didn't trip on it. She didn't need to trip on her hair and wind up hurt, or possibly dead, this storm seemed to mean buisness.

"Tama, can we assume everything going wrong than is controlled bythe magic of two senshi than?" She questioned a loud, hoping to be heard over everything else going on. If that was true - how was it true? These senshi were long dead, right? As far as she knew they'd not been reborn, she was certain the database would have said somewhere. They were the original senshi....the ones involved in the silver millenium and fighting with the moon kingdom, if what she'd been reading was correct. She might not have a team and might be on her own but she did read the database and other bits of information when she could, she wasn't going to be totally clueless.

"Arseno, you ok?" Calling over the general.

Super Corrupt Heliodor
HP: 75

Helio palmed his comm to respond “Faustite. It was coming from a small terminal that Tama says is a tablet similar to ours with a P symbol on It that resembles Pluto.”

Things went sideways in a span of seconds. The terminal he had been referring to had fallen away into the abyss below with a thunderous sound as the storm finally claimed the small bastion against it. Shrapnel and debris flew outwards from the storm and some of the team members were forced to dodge while others were not quite as lucky.

He hurried over to Athenite and Roselite when called and glanced down at the stone.”Jupiter” He questioned. “Tama said the terminal was showing a P for Pluto earlier. There’s definitely some order-Sid magic happening here.”
[/purple] He noted a movement. Very subtle but enough to catch his attention as the barrier blipped out of existence. “Wait. There!” He pointed. “The barrier is gone.” Of course now whatever had been shielded was open to the storms wrath. “We have no way of getting in there without pushing through the storm itself at this point.”

As his eyes roved over the area in hopes of finding a less turbulent side of entering the storm his eyes found Fafnir prone on the ground.

Helio hurried over to the corrupt as he shouted to Tama who he saw was yet again making an attempt to enter the storm ”Tama, be careful trying that!” Helio mentally questioned if the mauvian was onto something. They needed to press forward, it was true. Perhaps the team as a whole could work together to get someone in safely enough? Unfortunately, Helio wasn’t a fan of possibly seeing his team drop due to the brutal storm.

“Fafnir.” He called as he got to his brother’s side. The older man was breathing at least, and appeared, for the most part, to be relatively fine beyond being knocked out. “Fafnir. Wake up!” He called as he gently jostled his brother’s shoulder. Helio knew to wary of doing too much for fear of possible head injuries that could be exacerbated by too much movement.

It was then he noticed Fafnir’s hand was clutched around an object. “Fafnir has another stone. Bring what you have over here? I think they might react with one another.” He called over to the the group, Athenite in particular.
