Her eyes cracked to slits as her sexy pillow moved beneath her, shifting to a more comfortable position. She felt a wetness on her arm and looked up to see tears making silent tracks down his pale iceling skin. Silently she rose and kissed them away. He had only cried thrice before; when the girls were born, when Sae was mortally injured, and when he knew that Elaxi was really stolen from them.

He rarely cried around other people, but somehow none of his home made rules applied to Saeruin. He didn't have to be anything but his authentic self around her and it set his soul free. "Do you know how much I love you?" He croaked out, his voice thick with the morning, deeper. He searched her face with shining eyes.

She took a deep breath, wondering what to say or to say much at all. "I do know, as I nkow my love for you continues to grow stronger. Especially when you smile at me. I would see more of that smile Ushiwa." She paused to breath a gain. "We cannot lock ourselves in the past forever, that does not mean that we ever have to stop searching."

And just like that, she hit the nail right on the head. He supposed he should expect this from the expert blacksmith she was becoming. He held her close in silent answer and felt a piece of his broken heart snap back into place. She had had such a hard life and she always rekindled her spirit. She was his rock, she had come back to him alive and his sister had ensured she remained so.

They shared a significant pain and she refused to let him carry it alone.
"You are my everything Ushi." They turned and reorganized themselves until his head rested in the crook of her non insignificant shoulders. She kissed his temple, deciding it was high time that they both took a break form their daily grind.
