Taaffeite gave a look, blinking with her lips pursed, the look clearly saying she knew what dismissed meant. She did after all unfortunately attend a military school. She huffed and made an about face marching out the office.

She couldn't help the irritated mumble, "it's not as if I brought myself here."

She supposed she should get to know the team, but she really wasn't in the mood to basically go asking strangers, teammate or not, to take her back topside or whatever.

She leaned against the wall outside of the office, grinding her teeth and trying to calm her ire. She still thought they could have just been sent a message.

"M'never jealous, but if you've got a spare collar you're willing to share?"
The tease made him grin, doubly shared and beaming in Helios direction, he could ignore Fafnir's frost, even if the feel of it made him shiver. It was fine, it was good that the brothers were focused on each other, doing things -- whispering whispers -- all good things that he would've been smart to let be in a peaceful manner.

Faustites announcement caught him off guard briefly, gaping as he searched the gap for that bit of knowledge for why he was holding things -- “Sorry Firebrand, if it takes more n three claps to sound out? I tend to miss it entirely,” though, wait, how many in dismissed again? Definitely three. At least three, right? Had to be.

With enough thought though, it clicked through, the reasoning. The bags of all things good were his to carry because he wasn’t making a running for the worlds next tootsie pop owl; because the bits of treasure wouldn't've tasted any better in his mouth than they felt in his hands.

"I guess I'm the treasure dragon then, for the restah alluv this. So you guys c'n bring 'em to me when you feel like you've hit the right mark," he almost wanted to apologize for the inconvenience on them having to come to his office n face down his bird to manage it. The wince for that, because - because no - it was a good thing he'd be seeing people, n talking to 'em, and - even if it was just in passing for dropoff points. It was good. Things between their relationships had to mend somehow, n he wanted to be more involved with the new members of the team overall, even the ones who weren't his own to watch for.

Oh, so they were officially dismissed, well then! Cryolite rolled his eyes, because it was all fine and dandy for Faustite, but his ride out was enraptured with trying to find his own nose in the middle of his face---- a grueling task.

So with Albite off in his own dimension, useless to rest of them who lacked such a brazen flaming countenance that oh so easily attracted moths made of more fluff than thought, Cryolite dutifully snagged his better option by the great drapery of shawl that billowed off his outfit, "He did, didn't he, tripled it maybe -- quadrupled? How kind of him to make up our difference -- Borax! Darling, if you need a ride? Fulgurite's offering..and you..." was the girl by the door familiar, new, old? Something like Laffytaffy? Sugarite? Syrus hadn't remembered meeting her in person at any of the various group gatherings -- so maybe albite knew? If she was like Pax, so recently brought on as to be only a piece of attire...

"I'm Cryolite, this is Fulgurite -- If you're needing an easy out there's Eternals enough to provide one, but if you'd rather not wait on things?" and yes he was shoving Fulgurite a mite under an already overloaded bus, but! It was all with a surefire plan in mind. Less work, more play, all sorts of things in regards to being good girls n boys that'd lead to them having as much as they needed without putting in the legwork.

Much of which required being just the slightest bit of a leech, but looking back at Albite' empty head and warm smiles, he knew the man wouldn'tve minded, surely he found these sorts of thign's fun for all his joyful bounce n boast of such.

Dismissed did mean he could leave, and his lips quirked upwards at the reminder. It did mean he could leave. He also really wasn't certain where he would be going other than out into the Negaverse's hallway. Borax was curious to know what he was speaking to the cat about, but...

In time. Often, in time. He could wait, just like he was waiting on figuring out what that map was. Considering what had been said, something about the Rift, no doubt. Perhaps his commentary to the technological disguised catboy was the same.

He forced himself not to try and listen in to whatever Faustite was saying to Tama--couldn't hear it anyway, too far away and too quiet--and was distracted instead by the teenager's grumbles, followed by her leaving to do just that, standing in the hallway. He glanced toward where she was headed with a grin, before turning toward Faustite and adding, "Sadly, we can't just leave. I would love to!"

Cryolite, though, seemed to be offering a solution. He grinned at that, and the brief smirk he shot at Fulgurite that followed was all charm. Borax knew that move. He had done the same when simple suggestions hadn't quite worked, or when they were infeasible. Fulgurite hadn't volunteered. "Oh, thank you, Fulgurite! You're so generous." Or Cryolite was, anyway. Borax moved from his point in the room to the duo of them, indeed wanting to get out of there. He had people things to do, anyway, that he had been torn away from to come to this particular gathering. "Feel free to get me out of here at your leisure. We should probably give the boss what he wants, hm?"

The way he said hm hinted that while he would wait, he figured it was probably best that they get moving.

"Quadrupled is right," muttered Fulgurite, glancing toward the source of it -- Heliodor, right, he was still trying to keep track of everyone's names -- when Cryolite grabbed him by his shawl and distracted him entirely. He was about to ask if there was something Cryolite wanted, but then Cryolite was volunteering him to take care of the transportation.

The look he shot Cryolite was about as icy as Cryolite was, but he brought that under control with a clearing of his throat and a self-centering. Sure! He could totally take care of all the present basics! That was fine. He guessed.

He was pretty sure Borax was going to eat him. Alive. Nose to foot.

"No problem!" Not like he was allowed to have a life outside of the Negaverse. "Once you all gather over here, I can get us out of here as a unit."

And then maybe he'd ask Cryolite why he was the choice... although Albite wasn't paying attention, there were definitely other eternals--

Pax showed up to Faustite's address the same way they showed up to most things, the fact they couldn't have resisted showing up if they wanted to not even relevant -- they showed up on time, with a look of mild irritation, and with a desire to be as far away from unchecked sources of noise as possible. Albite was hands-on -- and that was fine, that wasn't the problem; they didn't mind being touched inasmuch as they minded his lack of volume control. That they minded a lot. As such, they positioned themself about as far from him as possible (and as close to Jadarite as they could possibly be without disregarding their first positional criteria; she was the one they knew best, after all).

It was almost suffocating, so many bodies and so much power all in one place -- not that the bodies were a problem, not that the cluster was a problem, but there was still an unreasonable amount of hair in this room, and Pax's own mass of long, dark hair was not helping. Someone's hair was probably gonna end up in their mouth today. Ew. Having it be their own wasn't even ideal - not that any hair in their mouth was ideal, ever, because that was really just gross, as far as they were concerned. Who knew where hair might have been?? Or clothing, or -- honestly, if they started going down this path they were just going to in theory get really grossed out by things they genuinely didn't even care about and didn't normally think about at all, so Pax tugged their brain back to whatever Faustite was talking about.

Not that they were paying much attention to him specifically, there was a lot of miscellaneous noise in the room from people breathing and shifting and generally just sort of Existing in quarters this close -- but it was the spirit of the thing. They were trying!! Probably. They were paying enough attention to get the instructions, so that was what mattered, right?? Intricate interpersonal rituals or whatever interactions were -- nope. No.

And then Pax didn't say anything, because what were they supposed to say? Other people were taking care of that. Pax didn't need to know why they were doing it -- only to do it at all. That was it! Why would they care about the rest? It genuinely didn't matter that much; there was enough they worried about already without adding this into the mix. And if nothing else, making a stop somewhere before heading home might help with that new doubled quota.

They'd have to see who they could get as a ride, anyway. Maybe Jadarite? But they didn't want to bug her. Preferably not Albite -- too loud, too much -- but beggars couldn't be choosers, and people who couldn't teleport had to pick their battles when it came to who they were going to buddy up with. Or who they were going to hitch a ride with, as it was this time. ...there really weren't ideal idioms for Negaverse things, were there.

Good, Tama accepted his task without questions. Faustite let the Mauvian shuffle off to do his work however Mauvians manage it. How they accomplished their tasks seldom sparked his curiosity.

Borax was talking back, however, and Faustite leveled an irritated glare both at the subordinate and his CO. "Don't b***h to me about your inability to teleport when your chain of command shares the same air with you. Your Captains and Supers can teleport you back to Destiny City." Perhaps Borax didn't yet understand that his life was in the care of Captain Jadarite, just as Taaffeite's life was — and still is — in the hands of Fafnir. As far as he was concerned, there was little reason for the green Lieutenant to go hinting that he was forgetting something.

Fulgurite wasn't his, else he'd say something to the Eternal to make himself useful. He looked at Albite nonetheless, then at Fulgurite, as if to say make him do something useful. Just in case the Captains and Supers had no energy left in their tanks.

They had enough people to knock out this delightful little task in short order — a week if they each put their minds to it. Might end up with a little left over, at which point he could bank down their quotas for a bit of a vacation after all of that.

Well, only time would tell.

Full lips thinned as Fafnir pressed them together, displeasure in every line of him. Helio’s frank answer quieted any response from him and all he could do was seethe. Now was not the time or place to argue the import of taking a single starseed, let alone so many. Hello had to be aware of that already, but he still made the choice and did the deed.

As his brother turned away, Fafnir let his fingers slip from his arm and straightened up. This would be a realignment of his mindset and he felt the need to think on it, somewhere he didn’t have to watch as Helio joked with the others. Faustite was insisting they were dismissed and Taffeite would need transport home. This issue would have to lay as it was for now, perhaps forever. Maybe he could convince his brother otherwise, but would that truly do either of them any good? The Negaverse was not an easy place to be a part of. Acts were called for that no normal person would conscience. Perhaps he couldn’t judge, when his own hands weren’t truly clean. And if it came down to it, wouldn’t he also do what Helio had?

Whatever. It was time to go.
