there's a very subtle difference between hitting a backdrop versus your opponent countering it. For a moment it seemed it was going Drako's way, but something was off. GBL went up too easy. As he turns around, he's pretty sure he knows exactly what and moments later, he's clocked with an elbow that takes him off his feet this time

The thud of skull to elbow, the falling of Drako, and the thrill of the hunt ran through the body and mind of the Eclipse he made his way over to the ropes, clinging to the top rope and yelling out into the crowd of this newfound rising of the new Eclipse. A hand would move to his own head, gripping at hair as he found himself laughing rather hysterically before turning around and falling to the ring mat with eyes dead locked on his opponent. Wild eyes, a smile that showed he was up to no good, and a mind now only seeking to bring out more pain would be the current set of the Eclipse despite having hit one of his big hitters, already.

laying on the mat, Drako shakes his head to clear the cobwebs. Rolling to the side, scouting the area he'd ended up in, he slowly pushes himself up on his elbow first, then up to a knee before finally pushing himself to his feet, pushing his hair back from his face as he turns and looks for the champion

As Drako rises, the Eclipse carefully watched and measured up his opponent. Once he was back on his feet, he followed suit as he lept up to his feet and would look greet the awakened challlenger with a surprising grab to his throat to choke and push Drako into the corner.

Drako is caught by the throat and forced back into the corner. Normally, that'd be threatening him with a good time, but the choke is a tad too tight since someone is trying to incapacitate him. The Soaring Dragon claws at the hand choking him as upon reaching the corner, the referee would attempt to get the champion to break

Being pushed back by the ref and getting the lecture of following rules, Lunar would raise his hands up before shoving the ref back and making his charge to the cornered Drako with a leap up, foot planting on the second rope, and a knee rising up for a corner shining wizard.

grabbing the ropes, after finally getting released and a chance to get some air, Drako spots GBL charging in. out of desperation, the Soaring Dragon pushes himself up and attempts to catch him with double boots to the chest

So much for that. Feet to the chest, Lunar felt like he ran into a wall on that if the wall had feet and just kicked him. He laid in place catching his breath yet still finding amusement in his own suffering.

with a moment to spare, Drako hops up onto the middle rope, determined to keep the champion down, and dives off aiming to hit an elbow drop across the chest

Elbow dropped to his chest, it wasn’t giving him time to catch his breath. Drako was on the offense and fighting back, strongly, as any contender should. Arms folded across his chest from the shot with the Eclipse rolling to his side trying to regain his air, yet still held a smile showing that he was far from worried.

Drako isn't going to hesitate to force GBL to expend more energy, as he'd attempt to force him back onto his back and go for the pin.

The pin attempt would see a quick kick out before the two as his opponent was looking to keep at it. Drako knew better than to let GBL catch his breath which meant he would need to find an opportunity to be able to do so. Still, amusement courses through a dangerous mind as he laid on his side with red eyes locked on Drako.

Drako's one advantage over GBL's most recent opponents is that he'd not only watched him, but faced him a few times before. Each time he's a little different, but Drako isn't the exact same person he was in their previous encounters either. Having anticipated the kick out, Drako rises back on his knees, then simply looks to punch the champion in the face to keep him down on the mat

A beautiful strike that had him back on his back with a hand moving to where he had been struck. A closed fist that showed that his opponent was not messing around and was in this to win it. It wouldn't be a long wait as Lunar would sit himself up, leaning forward a bit with his head slowly turning to look back to Drako as if asking for him to make another move.

Drako isn't one to let up when he has an advantage, and at some point, the champ is going to start feeling what he's seemingly shrugging off. popping to his feet, he'd quickly attempt to dropkick the champion in the side of the head
