Zerynthia could scarcely believe what she was seeing! That was SOOOO many pumpkins! “Well…we have a big family so I think it’s nice. You did good, Izzy.” It was still an intimidating load and likely heavy so instead of walking beside Ezili she got in the back of the wagon to push it. “You think Mama’s going to be alright with paying for all of these?” Because Zeri didn’t have enough in her coin purse to pay for them all and honestly, she’d want to if it was for all of them, right?

As they walked by Zeri dipped down to grab a few smaller pumpkins as well. “For pies and soup; you can’t carve pumpkins without making soup.” A nice warm bowl after playing around in the chill was just the thing.

Maybe they should get some extra, then? Just to make sure they had enough to last a season. Giving her lower lip a bite, Zerynthia looked around her and snatched up another bigger pumpkin. Worst case scenario they had an extra decoration or they could always put it on someone else’s doorstep.

“We’re going to need a bigger wagon if we’re picking up a barrel.” She laughed. “But I think we could get a basket full! And some cider if they have any.”

At this rate they were going to be as round as pumpkins before the end of the season. Between the pies, tarts, soups and other goodies Zerynthia knew she'd need a few new skirts for winter! Still, the youngling didn't worry much about it; after all, she was still active enough to run it off and the words were just a saying some of the older women passed around.

With a little bounce in her step, she started pushing the wagon once more and dreamed of all her little tricks to come.
