She watched as he reached up and tugged his collar back to show off some scars. Thea lacked those. Most of her skin was visible on her torso and it was all tanned and smooth. She leaned a bit to get a better look but let out a low whistle at the sight. "Damn." Her eyes took in a bit more before she shook her head. "I'm going to assume you have more than that as well." The Pit could be unforgiving too. However, the scars he had looked older and a bit too straight. At least some of them.

"... who tried to kill you? Or were you tortured?" Thea couldn't help her curiosity. Not only that but if her dear sister-in-law were to find out she helped a target then she might get an earful. Or a late night visit.

Hearing of the destination she nodded her head. "Yeah sure. You work there or are you a patient?" If he'd been stopped on his way to be seen she'd be even more pissed at those guards.

Then she paused for a second before chuckling. "Apologies, I'm being very nosey. You don't have to answer, I'll help you either way." She motioned with her head for them to get moving.

"Every inch. I'd be surprised if you could find skin that isn't screwed up." Finn knew in his youth he'd had freckles. He could remember them bubbling up to the surface when he was locked out of the hut on hot days before the scarring took over. "My parents were murdered by Alkidike. I got away, for what it's worth, and was taken in by a fisherman. Said the whole island was overrun with them, that everyone else was dead and if I didn't want to die I had to work for him. Didn't find out the truth until I was...fifteen? Sixteen?" Thinking on it for a moment, Finn shrugged. "My balls had dropped so teenage-something."

As he started walking, the yaeli thought more on his situation. He couldn't remember exactly when he'd been removed from his family or when he'd been taken in by Llyr. There was a reminder in his head that told him he was young, but the finer details had been lost a long time ago. "You asked and not many do. You also helped and even less do that, so it's fine." Before his time in Oba he might have spit on her and burned them both, but now...Finn was starting to change.

"Turns out my brother survived the attack and he's a healer. I've been staying with him while getting my s**t together."

Theanduri gave a cringe at knowing he did in fact have more scars. She was blessed to be without them honestly. As she listened to his life story, or part of it, she frowned. The skin between her brows became pinched as she stared at the ground in front of her. "Is that fisherman still alive?" She was simply curious.

As they walked and he seemed to state that not many asked him questions or even stopped to help she sighed. "People do suck. More so in Oba. They are all too busy with their own selves that they forget other people exist or need help too." Which is why she'd chosen Matori to raise her children. Plus it was close enough for her to go back and forth for work purposes. Granted it was three days one way to get to work or home.

Learning that his brother was a healer was good. That meant he could have his brother take a look at his arm to make sure it was good. "I'm glad you have family that survived then." She nodded her head at him. "I have family in Oba. My older brother is a blacksmith here. His shop is over off Pearl Street. If you need help again or find yourself running from the guards and you're in that area just go there. Let him know you know me and he'll help." She offered him a smile. Of course Dovian was likely going to tell her his work wasn't a charity but he'd help either way.

"Maybe." He hoped he wasn't, but Finn had never been that lucky. Luck was getting to the good rocks before the other urchins licked all the salt off them or making it to the temple before the doors closed at night. "Haven't gone back to check."

She wasn't wrong. There were so many in Oba that cared only for the coin in their pocket and how they looked in comparison to others that Finn had gotten lost in the crowd. He'd preferred it that way for as long as he could remember, but if he were a kid again it would eat at him. Adults could better themselves, but you had to survive to do that and sometimes kids didn't stand a chance.

"Same to you. My brother works at this clinic. He's a good man, helped out a lot of people in The Pit and he won't ask questions." At least, he wouldn't once Finn told him she was on the level. Tac might not like the extra company, but helping others was something a healer was supposed to do.

"I owe you one, and I won't forget it. If you need help in this dump they call a country let me know."

She nodded her head as she thought about it. "That man got a name?" She was simply curious. There was no way she had any devious plans or anything. Nope.

At the mention of his brother being a good man and having helped people in The Pit before she smiled. "Well, I'm not much of a fighter but if I need help I'll definitely come ask for it." It would be interesting to meet the brother of this one. Mostly because she was curious to see what kind of person he was. Being a good man didn't mean you didn't have attitude or good jokes or even some sass behind it.

At being told Finn owed her she lifted a brow at him. "You don't owe me anything. However, if I ever decide to start a war with the city guard, I'll let you know so you can get some shots in." Thea grinned at him. There was no way she was going to hold anything against him for her stepping in and helping.

Finn's eyes narrowed and for a moment he debated not saying anything at all. He gave in out, but not without skepticism. "Llyr. He's off the shores of Pajore." If she knew of anyone who could visit him then so be it, but Finn didn't want to read too much into it. He'd had more than enough of that man for a lifetime.

Now that they were well within sight of the clinic he stopped to say his goodbyes. This wasn't how he'd intended the evening to go by far, but Finn wasn't unhappy with it. Sure, his shoulder still ached, but he'd made an ally in a s**t hole country, so he was pretty pleased with that.
