Whether or not the Eclipse’s intent was settling or not was beyond him at this given time as it seemed Salem was interested in cutting loose. The finger remained on his head with the smile he once had turning into a cringe upon hearing these… words. Lunar-tic? Did his just say Lunar-tics? He wasn’t about to get started with the rest, but that one pained him more than most matches. Had to be sure to return that recipe later. The hand lowered as his head dipped down for a moment, hair covering eyes as he thought this through. What to do? What to do…
Finally, a hand shot out to grab the other as he stepped up to lift his head up, eyes that were red as a lunar eclipse, replaced from the original dark blue he wore as contacts. “Careful what you wish for, kingy~ too much of this poison we call madness can rot the mind,” he stated as he was indeed down to cut loose, as was the purpose of this released Lunar. Granted that what he said was also his intent— to poison a mind.

Salem laughed at the suggestion of a rotting brain, a query posed to him many-a-time before now. Raising his other hand, a glint of fire shown in the Scoundrel King's eyes, not just because of the red eyes reflected in them either. It wasn't often Salem had an opportunity to cut loose, to really let go of the sadistic side of him that he kept chained up and held back like a beast inside himself. But recently he'd felt the grip getting more and more loose on his inner monster, and it was starting to claw its way free. A smile cold as a hissing snake crossed his lips, offering a tie-up to The Eclipse.
"You wanna find out how rotten I can be?" he asked with a note of quiet restraint, but his words laced with potent venom.

The call for a lock up would be met without another word with the Eclipse. How rotten one could be didn’t concern the lunar mind, but it did raise questions to possible defensive tactics in the near future. He may be one of the more durable wrestlers, today, but too much was still too much… yet the thought was enough to broaden the smile and look to break away to swing one of his famed elbows for the head of Salem.

The Eclipse was moving to take the lock-up, but as he did, rather than try anything of a more technical variety he'd break his grip and crack an elbow into the side of Salem's head! The impact could've loosened teeth on a lesser man, but Croft endured with a bit of ringing in his ears and an ache that let him know there'd probably be a bruise there come later. Still in striking distance after the blow, the "Gypsy Savage" would attack back with an elbow of his own across GBL's jaw!

The elbow would connect with GBL's head turning from the shot. The pain resonating from the point of impact, through the jaw and to the back of his head, he cracked his smile with his body twisting and another elbow coming, looking for a more direct shot into the forehead. A war of strikes against one who's known for his knock-out blows, this Eclipse was looking to show the dominating force without relying on the twisting Moonlight Dance.

Salem's vision flickered a moment as GBL returned fire with another elbow, this time taking aim at Croft's forehead! The focus on his head left the rest of Salem's body feeling good by comparison, but no matter how many times GBL would strike him, the Gypsy Savage didn't plan on leaving a fight unfinished. After a brief second to adjust his vision under the bright lights of the arena, Salem leaned back a step and threw another forearm forward, looking to drive his elbow clean across GBL's jaw!

Not quite a knockout shot delivered to Salem as the king decided to throw back another elbow that connected flush and had the Eclipse head snapping to the side. Throbbing pain. yet still a manic smile hidden behind a turned head. He could hear the voice of madness laughing at this game, and he could only laugh back before he suddenly stopped. His body would twist around with his arm swinging with him and looking to hit this king with a rolling back elbow, a different kind of dance from his arsenal of lunacy, aimed for the temple of this king.

The crowd was heavily invested in this physical exchange, almost as much so as the two men beating each other's faces in the ring! The tension was high, as was the adrenaline levels pumping through Salem's veins as GBL recovered from the forearm and landed a spinning variety in retaliation across Croft's face!
Staggering back a couple steps from the impact, Salem's vision went red for a moment, his brain rattled but nerve as solid as iron! Springing back at The Eclipse with a stagger step, the Scoundrel King would pretend to throw another follow-up forearm, but instead bounce off one leg to lift the other into a stiff knee lift under GBL's chin!

The guy was resilient to say the least. Still able to go and actually step up to hit a knee, Jay’s head snapped back with him taking a couple of steps back before regaining balance and slowly lowering his head back to look to Salem, an eerie smile in place which may seem off for anyone that just got a knee to the chin. This strike fest was wearing at both yet not showing signs of quitting. Still, it was but a matter of time. In which, the Eclipse found himself with his arms off to the side and a slight bow, eyes remaining on the man. “C’mon, king… I’m still standing.”

Salem huffed incredulously, knowing the man was mocking him despite the toll the battle had been taking on them both. Still, Salem wasn't about to stand down. This fight meant rewriting history for him, a chance to create a new future for himself, and that vision was burning in the back of his mind so brightly that Croft's eyes lit up from the flames!
"You're the Eclipse! Look on the bright side!" he shot back, teasing GBL with a pun of his own.
With a burst of athleticism, the Gypsy Savage stutter stepped forward, leaping as though throwing another high knee but instead shifting his force and power up through his legs and hips and into his shoulders and arms, seeking to drill GBL in the face with a shadow Superman Punch!

“All I see is the light,” he spoke out in response as he stood himself up straight to watch the motion of this man’s approach. Feigning a knee to use his arm power once more, The Eclipse would duck under and catch the arm looking for a half Nelson. “The Eclipse’s only purpose is to steal the light, after all,” he spoke out with a goal to spin him from the half-Nelson to a front face lock that would look to flow into a DDT.

Salem immediately recognized his mistake, overextending his reach as GBL snagged a hold with a Half Nelson through the stretched arm! It was an amateur maneuver Salem grew up using in school wrestling, but GBL was deftly following through to transition Croft into another sequence, contorting "The Copperhead" into DDTing position, one of Salem's own signature maneuvers!
The crowd gasped as it looked like "The Eclipse" would add insult to injury and crown Croft with one of his own techniques, some cheering while others booed the gesture! But everyone popped to their feet in surprise as Salem showed off some strategy of his own, lifting GBL up with his firm leg strength to Northern Lights Suplex him into a pinning position! There was a Moon Over Ireland tonight!

Something somewhere went wrong with the plan as the Eclipse would drop to his back but not with the ddt. The surprise counter wasn’t enough to stun Salem, and he was able to flip him up and over to ground the man with not only the suplex but with the first pin fall of the night. Stunned at first, Lunar would hear the ref’s hand that snapped him from the haze to roll over from the pin for a 2 count and create some distance between the two as he laid in place … a moment of silence before a couple of laughs escapes. Some pain in the laughs, sure… but still not normal for how long the match has been going.

The crowd counted along with the referee as Salem bridged into the pin!
ONE!
TWO!
OOOOH!
As 'The Eclipse' broke the pinfall a second before the three count, the audience awwed, GBL rolling a little distance away to evade any further engagement! Salem sat up, a tad frustrated by the lack of a pinfall but still fired up and ready to pursue! Not trying to waste time, the Gypsy Savage got up and started over towards GBL, intending to pick the laughing man back up to his feet for more punishment!

The steps could be felt through the ring as Salem approached as the ‘laughing man’ went silent with his own feet planting on the ground. Rather than simply getting up like a normal being, he rose up from the ground going from a laying position right to a standing position, his body slumping forward afterwards with the crowd’s reaction being absolute shock from the matrix-like motion. Body hunched forward, the head of the Eclipse would turn to face Salem with his body following and soon taking a few, slow steps toward the king. Low hums of chuckles leaving him as he approached, a manic look that sought to take what he promised.
