Fiadah chuckled and waved her hand dismissively. "Nah, it's fine. I get that a lot. So does my sister. Not like you would know anyway, right?" At least Ziya wasn't giving her any attitude like many others who lived in Zena still tended to do. She really was lucky that he'd been the one nearby to find her. Ah, she'd been wondering about that! Shifter and ice, huh? It made for a good looking young man there~

The warning earned a nod, though the boot slipping off earned another wince. "I've got a pretty good pain tolerance. Just do what you need to." A long, slow breath was let out as the ointment was applied. It sure did sting, but the following sensation was so pleasing. Much better than the throbbing that had started up.

Fiadah's brow rose curiously, and then she laughed again. "I guess that's as good as asking. I don't mind at all! My sis and I were born in Matori, but Baba is from here, and Papa traveled a lot but fell in love with him. Baba prefers it here, so.. here we are." Ah, but the tale of her fathers was so sweet! "They've talked about moving before, but nothing's ever happened. Papa is actually from Matori, too. I think that's why they chose to adopt us from there." She pursed her lips slightly. "You mentioned that you'd get in trouble if you'd taken me to your healer. You're not gonna get punished for helping me, right?"

"Well there goes my reputation as a know it all." Bemoaned Ziya with a playful grin towards Fiadah. But at least now he knew not to be too surprised if another Matori ever crossed his path. Though it would be awkward if he made the assumption that it was Fiadah's sister and not something else! What were the chances?

Thankfully his patient was good at holding her own so Ziya had no issues quickly wrapping the foot. He did frown at the boot. It was cold but was it worth hurting her ankle more by putting it on? His lips pursed thoughtfully the teen moved to his belongings and dug out a small rabbit fur, the spare thing something he kept for whenever he was stressed and liked to twist something in his hands. It would fit snuggly over her foot and he could wrap another bandage on it to keep it in place. "Nothing terribly solid or fashionable but it'll keep your toes warm." Ziya explained as he set the fur around the injured foot, carefully tying some bandages to keep it still.

The laughter was nearly contagious and Ziya couldn't help grinning as he listened. "Makes sense to me." He mused as the revelation that she had been adopted made far more sense to him than a pure Matori couple leaving the comforts of the warmer area for the bitter cold of the north. "Oh don't worry. I'm always in trouble." Ziya replied as he pulled back to study his work before offering his hand again to help her to the chiavi. "But nah. If anything at least I have an excuse now for why I missed a good portion of the hunt. Let's just hope we can get you safely home, okay? I'm ready when you are."

Fiadah gave her ankle an experimental wiggle once it was wrapped. The throbbing was steadily receding as the ointment soaked in and numbed her. It would have been easy to start using it like normal again, but she knew she still had to take it easy. She also gave her boot a dubious look. It wouldn't be great to put it back on, but she had nothing else to- Oh? Once the fur was secured, she raised her foot and turned it carefully as though to inspect an display Ziya's work. "It just needs a little more shaping and a good sole."

"Always?" Her eyes looked over Ziya for a second before a smirk rose. "Yeah, I can believe that." When she was helped up, she didn't hesitate to put a little of her weight on him for support. "I have every faith in ol' Dusty to get me home safe." He'd been with a hunting party? She pursed her lips with a pout. "I was actually out here to get some weywa. Guess that'll have to wait now." She leaned over and gave Ziya her most charming smile. It probably wouldn't work, but was worth a try! "Unless you wouldn't mind a short stop on the way?"

"You'll have to look for an artisan for that." Teased Ziya with a smirk. "Admittedly I could fashion them into moccasins but I'd need another hide for the second one." His mother had made certain that he knew basic skills like that for survival. You never knew when you'd be stuck far away from town without anyone to provide such luxuries after all! Ziya chuckled quietly at the thought especially since it had almost mortified his father to think about surviving in the wilderness without some form of basic comfort, something Zyphire loved to indulge in every time they visited the capital or some other city throughout the main continent. Ziya actually enjoyed being a jack of all trades and it was nice to know that he truly could survive on his own....hopefully.

He raised a brow at the confirmation from the Matori. "Wow, I must be that obvious." He quipped though he was more amused than anything. "I'll have to work on that. Can't lose my reputation at the first meeting." The hybrid shook his head before pausing at the next suggestion. "A short stop you say? For weywa?" Ziya almost did a double take as he studied the Matori with interest. She was going to try to hunt weywa on her own? He had not been expecting that. A slow grin crossed his lips. "It could be considered a hassle but maybe if I also hunted on the way back I would be in even less trouble." He agreed before moving to scoop the Matori in his arms without warning. "Lets get you on that chiavi and if I see any tracks along the way then....well I guess that's the spirits saying we should go hunting." Though he would have to keep an eye on her ankle the teen was most definitely up for a challenge, especially with company.

Fiadah kept up her best smile while Ziya contemplated the idea. He... he was willing to go for it? And he might even help! She squeaked with surprise when she was scooped up, then laughed excitedly. "Maybe if we find enough I'll let you keep one to give your hunting party," she chirped. With Ziya's help, she easily got up on Støv's back and secured in. Maybe she wouldn't be able to do much actual hunting, but if she was able to get home with even one weywa, it would be enough to make the whole ordeal worth it. Well, that plus meeting a new friend~
