As if that was what he'd always needed to hear from the man, the way Albite eased out of his need to move in small degrees to release all that pent up energy he held onto so tightly.
He hadn't even considered Laurelite, had he? He had Jet's opinion, had his own, but being reminded that in the end it was someone far above his head's choice -- that even if there were Soverigns of all flavor and variety with vastly different ways of handling things --
this -- Jet's pain, Waru's own guilt-ramping bouts of indecision, in the end it'd all come down to Laurels. She would make the final call on how best to see it all handled.
If he ran into either of them again, Gany, Sylvite? All he really needed to do was make a call n bring 'em in and then he could wash his hands of it. Not his heart, never his heart, but he could patch that with time, n patience, n the love of the people around him. Plus it was ********' hard to commit the sorta endings that came easy to people holding the sharps--- His magic wasn't made for it like some others were, dealt it's damage, sure -- but it lacked the lethality. It was all threat nets n whiplash warnings, far deadlier bound around something like a loose cobblestone or crowbar than an an actual person. Not that he could tell the difference, the ways some people panicked when they were finally pinned down n held fast...
"S'not your fault, yeah? She might've had a better poker face n anyone ever could've known. I sure as ******** missed the signs....n we were like, together, kinduv? Saying 'it's complicated' doesn't do it justice cause none of anything I was doing with her was complicated till she left. Espescially since she left before, ********, we got down defining things......" spoken around a frown because maybe Sylvi was more n just pink sparkles n ninja abs wrapped around serrated blades n candy. Maybe she'd known what she was doing long before she'd done it? He wanted to believe Ganymede had been the final straw for that particular pink camels back.
He knew he could've been wrong.
"Knowing what to do about it all though? That helps so ******** much---" relief wrapped around a laugh because it was ridicules the way they named things, like, like a really interesting kinda product placement? Healthy cake, protein filled soda, something like that...
"
You've no idea." The information, the reassurance, being heard. Albite was grinning for it all, scoffing mildly over being told not to worry about the pair of 'em because that was what friends did for each other! They worried, and even if Jet was asking him to not? It was his modus operandi, the batteries that charged him, who would he even have been if he didn't worry about people when they'd been mauled and beaten!!!?
"Now!! Traitors n Transcended enemies aside, d'you wanna see what I can do with alluvthis eternal energy; so's when next time the s**t hits the proverbial agent-mercking-plans fan you n yours can know best how to utilize me?" Albite would never agree that there wasn't a place or use for fodder; felt that he fell into that category so easily (fodder), took it as an endearment as much as a compliment because it meant sure as ******** that he'd be on the front lines where he belonged -- Especially if he became the most experienced kind of man-fodder that ever there could be! The way Aquas beliefs n Jets differed, hearing that aloud was a lovely little glimpse into things he was otherwise unaware of -- they we're opposites that attracted, those two, so perfectly paired that it was hard not to admire it openly n with all sorts of approving words.
He liked Jet's vision though, admirable of him to be so heart on his sleeve honest about how he wanted the best for everyone. How, no, they weren't all evil murder-masterminds or emotionless torture-hornets just waiting to get their hands on the next 'someone who needs to die'. Wouldn't've had so many Senshi in their ranks if they were, would they? Couldn't really...not the way they kept 'em like they did. It was something Albite felt pride enough in to mention whenever he found some new bit of shiny person to talk to about it all...
All those potential star-bound-bodies they could ground in reality. It really was nice to think about sometimes.
