Nin 6
She guided her friends over to the nearest healer and they all got their various wounds seen to. For her own part she had a mild laceration that stung but it had been quite exhilarating to be in a bar fight for the first time in her life and it had been a while since her last battle in general. She usually patched holes not making them.
"You two okay?" They looked okay but it was a relief in itself to be able to ask a patient for once.

He nodded and pressed the cool cloth to his badly bruised eye. "My looks will recover Nin, never fear, I'm sure Var will blame me anyway. That guy snuck up behind me using the tables as cover, usually I see them. Perhaps it was a wake up call to get out of the regular ring once in a while. I had to remember how to fight dirty."
It had been a good night overall, though alcohol was still coursing through their systems.

"I am friends with an Innkeep nearby I bet I could barter some fish for a room, so we can sleep this off. I don't think I could make it all the way home." He didn't want the others risking themselves either.
It was going to be a long night but nothing some food, water and a good rest wouldn't fix.
He didn't do this very often fortunately because he was pretty sure he would be regretting it tomorrow when the headache came.

Now feeling better now that they had all gotten the neccessary medical attention she was also able to focus on the next step.
"An Inn for the night sounds lovely, my husband would kick my butt if I tried to walk all the way home tipsy."
He would too. She smirked.

"I agree. Some sleep would do us all good. Lead the way sir." He nodded to Theriar.
The man had earned his respect, holding his own so well in the bar fight. It had been more fun than he had had in a very long time and he wondered if he could train his kids to be able to fight with obstacles and stuff, maybe the men in his contingent as well. Would certainly spice things up anyway.

"Not a problem. Follow me if you can, at least weave into the wall if you can't and we will wait, or we could support each other over there."
They were still quite drunk. It was fun though and if they could get in to the Inn quick enough they would be safe enough. It was a top quality place that he sometimes supplied with fish.
"Its this way."

They arrived at the Inn and as promised they were appointed a room. She immediately washed up as best as she could then she flopped on the bed to look at the ceiling. In this moment she didn't feel like a mother of seven and a grandmother of five, she felt young and vibrant and joyful at new experiences and memories with her friends.
She looked over and watched Reillan and Theriar clean up.
The room had two beds and by default they would have to sleep together. She was wondering if the bed was big enough and smiled evilly.

He slowly lowered himself to the mattress and let out a huge sigh. "I haven't gotten a beating that bad in a long time." He ached pleasantly for the most part all over. A few of the bruises were still tender but he had sustained minimal serious damage.
He was sure his daughter Variel would greatly enjoy this story.
He could hear her cackle now.

He sat on the bed and saw the look on Nin's face. "Mind your business Missy. So what if one of us accidentaly falls off the bed tonight. As long as you are safe, Kiyelt won't have my hide and this would be the worst room for someone to rob with the three of us scaries in here."
He was grateful that he had had this connection, not that he couldn't pay for a room but he preferred trading instead.

Nin cackled as her friend seemed to read her mind. "Much obliged!" She grinned. They both treated her like a lady and she greatly appreciated it.
"Thank you for the fun adventure boys." Nights out with friends were awesome.
They chatted about this and that and drank water so that their heads wouldn't hurt so much in the morning.
Eventually they fell asleep.

He awoke with a jolt, on the floor, either he had rolled or the hybrid had pushed him off. Now everything hurt; his head, his body, everything.
He groaned and tried to get up and got about as far as hands and knees before he sort of just swayed there.
What did they even drink last night?
"Ugh, everyone alive?"

He heard a thump and a groan and stretched automatically. Huh it must have been Reillan because he had the bed to himself again.
"Sorry about that, I think you rolled right off."
Speaking hurt too. "Nin?" He hoped she was okay, because he was not.

There was nothing and then there was noise. She moaned and pinned a pillow over her head. How did young people do this? It so was not worth the pain.
She took a deep breath, removed the pillow a bit and peaked out. Reil was as predicted on the floor and Theriar was stretched out on the bed, both of them in the same sort of pain she was.
"Whose idea was it to drink again?"

He looked up from where he was, unable to get up all the way yet.
"Pretty sure it was your idea Nin. What do we have to do to get breakfast? Do you think they will come if we moan real loud or are we going to have to go downstairs?"
He dreaded the answer. He was wobbly and weak as it was, and he was most unused to feeling this way.

It was still better than passing out in the bush and waiting for bandits to pick their pockets clean.
No more drinking for a while. "I'll go. Be right back."
