As Reed thanked her for coming to him Amora couldn't help but wonder why he was thanking her, shouldn't she be thanking him instead. In essence she had initiated the meeting by, she guessed, making him curious enough about the note and money that she had shoved under his door but it was his effort to find out what was going on that had allowed the chance for Amora to explain what had happened.
Had Reed simply brushed aside the appearance of such a discovery then Amora wouldn't have had this encounter over tea at some ungodly wee hours of the morning. But tea and conversation had, for the most part, alleviated the inner turmoil that had been growing to a boiling point in her mind about what she had done. While the turmoil had settled to a low simmer at least Amora had gained much needed guidance from Reed and she sighed softly as he pulled her into a gentle embrace.
While there was still a lot that she needed to learn it seemed - slowly it appeared like she was giving herself the chance to open up and blossom following what had probably been the hardest ordeal to overcome: memory loss. There were still moments that had Amora wondering who she had been before waking up next to Hatsya that fateful evening but the thoughts of finding out seemed less and less important which each passing day.
That Reed was proud of her spoke volumes and she gave a silent nod of her head in acknowledgement of his words before choosing her own words carefully, "I feel like I should be thanking you," and here Amora's gaze shifted back to her teacup, "By the way I think you've convinced me on the beneficial aspects of tea."
She was trying to be glib in referring back to their earlier conversation but wasn't sure if she had succeeded, "but honestly Reed. Thank you for taking the time to listen as well."
