Kise nodded his thanks, “I appreciate the offer but I think I will just make a little camp, get some food from a likely restaurant. Wouldn’t want too many more of your family to get suspicious, especially if they are as shrewd as your niece here.”
Kechi smirked, maybe this guy wasn’t so bad after all. He was decidedly not immune to flattery.

We shall leace you in peace then.” He guided Kechi away from the exhausted leafling. He would now be drowning in worry for nine months but at least he knew what was coming on way or another. He felt conflicted for hoping they were his because if they were Terr would no doubt be in great danger at the time of birth and not in any position to defend herself or their delicate newborn babies.

Kechi waved goodbye to the leaf man, she tugged gently on Thal’s hand. “Uncle, I’m hungry, can we get food too?”
She burned a lot of energy doing all the things, thus she had the typical clan appetite… a large one. Plus she was starting to grow pretty fast.
The delicious scent of various meats roasting wafting down the beach was not helping her hunger pangs.

Thal smiled, sometimes she was just like his Brother; constantly hungry.
“Yes we can get food. Might get lucky when we get hom to and Grandma might feed us again.”
“Which food stand do you want to go to?” He could and would eat pretty much anything, so it was up to her.
“Thank you for keeping my secret.”

“Hmm, the one with fish and rice that Mommy loves so much!”
She loved the fresh flavours and the textures. She tugged on his hand gently.
“Your welcome, and don’t worry, your lady chose you and she is going to be okay.”
She blew his a kiss of good luck, then sent another one to his lady fair, wherever she may be.
