With the chomp that she gave he didn't seem to flinch, though he did raise his brows a bit. She had a good bite to her at least. When she let go he lowered his arm back down. Her teeth marks would show that she had claimed him as a friend. "My nieces would like you. Elaxi is somewhat of a crybaby but both her and her sister Kechiri are protective over the triplets and their friends." They were all still little but he figured they'd get along pretty well.

"Kechiri and Elaxi usually play by the beach." He pointed over in the distance, the general direction of his family's estate.

Kynin chuckled at her excitement. "Do not underestimate the power of her tears. Elaxi cries over literally everything." His niece tended to cry when she was happy, overwhelmed, upset, and even angry. Tears just seemed to be her normal. "Don't let her trick you into things with her tears either." He warned Liylasa.

"Gajeel wouldn't mind being your friend either. He's a lot nicer than me too."

He smiled at Liylasa. "Then if I am nice, Gajeel is a saint." He nodded in confirmation.

Since he was now this girl's friend he supposed he could be nicer. So he pointed to the bucket. "What kind of treasure do you have?" He'd seen the rock she'd attempted to bite but he knew she had more. So he figured if he let her show them off and maybe talk about them then it would make her happy.

He looked at each one individually and nodded in approval at them. "Very pretty. Nice colors. And shiny." His tone alone said he was impressed with the small collection. "Did you have a treasure map to them or find them by chance?" Kynin was curious to know just how invested into this treasure hunt thing she was. If she liked maps then he might make a few for her with shells or shiny rocks buried for her to dig up. He could ask Gajeel to help him out and it would give Liylasa more practice. He could make the maps harder and harder as time went on too.

He leaned in close to see the map that was shown to him. While it was definitely the work of a child's hand it still was well done enough that one could figure out where it was pointing to. So Kynin nodded his head. "Very good. At least you know where to look for more treasures." He then smirked at her. "Does that mean you are going to mark a spot on there where you found me?" He had to admit he was curious. Not that he'd been washed up on shore or anything.

He gave a chuckle as he watched her pull out the utensil to mark the spot. When he noticed that she'd put it next to one already on the map he grinned. Kynin was very much amused. Then of course he caught the bit of musing about whether or not he moved around. "Hm, well I do move around a lot but.." He leaned over to the map and pointed to a small part in the corner. The map showed enough of the surrounding area that he could at least point her in the right direction. "Right over this way is where my family ranch is. You can always find me there if you need to."

When she asked about animal friends he nodded his head. Between his dad and his older brothers there were plenty of animals there. "There are a bunch. My older sister has Keldari, my older brothers have snaptrotters and radaku, and my dad has some beasts from Zena."

With beast tamers in the family it was bound to happen. Not to mention his mother was good at treating animals. He didn't really have much to do with the beasts beyond helping to feed them but he knew how to care for them from experience. "If you're nice then they might let you ride a few." His family would likely allow the little girl to spend time with all the animals so long as they had a good temperament.
